Flak is OP
Flak is fine against fighters.... BUT ,IS grossly OP against other units. Espesialy TEC and vasari flak.
Tec due to higest hp /cheapest cost and vasari due phaaaaase missiles and charget missiles.
That said: Flak is fine against fighters
Why? Well...
It is night impossible to remove flak from the battlefield due to near immunity to LRF fire and STUPIDLY hig hp... best hp/cost ratio of all frigs and cruisers.
So flak that is nearly unconterable is now a permanent deterrant from using fighters. This leads to 60/40 ratio in LRF/Flak fleet composition wich is now the "way to win". You cant use LF's due to LRM precense and you cant use fighters due to 75% building penalty of flak. HC's are only option, but by the time you get to that point, it is usualy too late.
Sollution?
Nerf Flak HP 50% and lover the armor a bit. It is still usualy most ignored unit in the field, but atleast now it whuld be removable, not like 1200HP 300 shield gardas are now.
Star Trek is OP.
How many movies, successful TV series, books, games does Star Trek have?
A lot more than Star Wars thats for sure.
Besides I don't like Episode 1-3.
Nerf the damn Enterprise! It's way OP!
It can destroy a planet. It's shields stop anything. And you can convert any tech to do other jobs like making deflector shields into an OP super weapon, or scanners into phasers. FTW!!!
lol... so true, I'm always gonna remember the time they turned the deflector dish into a doomsday device. Star Trek is way more OP.
Nerfing the damn Enterprise is not the way to go, Voyager needs to be nerf. Voyager was trapped in another par of the galaxy and yet it survived vs. some of the most powerfull aliens in the star trek universe. The Borg were introducted in TNG, they were suppose to be the ultimate "bad guys" but in Voyager the Borg turned out to be the flavour of the month. Remember the time Voyager ATTACKED a Borg cube, hillarious.
Star Trek Voyager turned out to be a comedy show, a bad one at that.
and then there was the time they hijacked borg technology and used it to defeat extra-dimensional fluid space aliens. mysteriously, the borg themselves (who were the originators of the technology) couldn't figure out how to do this and were dependent on the humans giving it to them second hand. ya, that went over real well.
Ah, Voyager had one thing going the rest of the series didn't have: a holographic doctor that thinks he's superiour to the fleshy humans he patches up. That alone makes the series worth watching =P.
And Janeway. (flak) It seemed she always had to remind everyone every other episode "Hey I'M the Captain." (flak)
Yeah, it's kinda strange that a series as emancipated as Star Trek only once had a female captain as the main character and one that constantly has to prove that's she's the one in charge. With Picard you'd never doubt who's boss =O.
I uploadet video of 50 or so flaks beating 30 Heavy cruisers toe to toe!
Moving from topic to topic...
DANG! I got rolled! I'm a replay whore.
I'm guessing this is a joke.
heres to the finest crew in starfleet
I hate Voyager; they have the worst crews imo.
The captain should be in a cook show.
The doctor is simply annoying.
Neelix is a fish man and he can cook?
Tuvok is no Vulcan (he is a confused human who moves his brows).
Harry Kim: stereotypical Asian nice guy who is sooooooooooo boring and flat.
You can't even get a full blooded Klingon in this one.
Dude half Klingon was SEXY! But yeah I liked ds9 a lot more than Voyager. But still Voyager was light years ahead of Enterprise on suck-o-meter.
Time to lock this thread, really.....
No. Lets keep it going. Hey flak is over powered.
So are lrfs and carriers. Let us not forget MB, woliate nanites, cleansing brilliance, RA, and anything else I cannot think of right now.
out of that list of LRF, carrier, Volatile Nanites, CB, Malice, Returning Armada, and Missile Barrage....
every item except for one has been adjusted in some fashion to better balance it.
Spamming the LRMs are great ships to spam. It's okay to have flak frigates if they're not built to often. You would probably only need about ten flaks in a large fleet.
I agree Siddy. Quality post, shuld be stickied along with mine.
