For all you Star Wars fans, I've finished off the latest version of a mod which adds the Alliance and Empire as new races. This is a playable versus the existing Tech/Advent/Vasari races, and balanced against them.
"Star Wars - Requiem" is a mod for Sins of a Solar Empire - Entrenchment and Diplomacy that brings the following:
2 new race; Alliance and Empire 6 new strike craft; TIE Fighters, TIE Bombers, TIE Interceptors, X-Wings, B-wings and A-wings. 11 new frigates; Nebulon B, Nebulon B2, Lancer Frigate, Tartan Patrol Craft, Carrack Gunship, Corellion Gunships, Corellion Corvettes, Siege Frigate Mk II, MC30b series, Acclamator I frigates and Galofree Transports 9 new cruisers, Interdictor, Enforcer, Escort Carrier, Loronar Strike cruiser, MC40a light carriers, Nebulon B escorts, Bulk cruisers, Assault Frigate Mk I and Dreadnaughts 9 new capital ships; Victory II-class Star Destroyer, Victory IIC-class carrier Star Destroyer, Imperator-class Star Destroyer, Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, Mon Calamari 80 and 80a, Mon Calamari Defiance and Libery class and Venator-class battlecruisers. 2 new starbase: the Alliance XQ1 platform and the Empire with an Executor Super Star Destroyer starbase model 3 new weapons; concussion missles, proton torpedos and ion cannons 60 new ship names with unique Alliance and Imperial star destroyer names 23 new music themes consisting of ambient and battle soundtracks over dozens of new ship audio and sound effects Star Wars player portraits Alliance and Empire icon symbols a modified Alliance and Imperial research tree, with unique abilities (Interdiction, Tractor Beam, Shield Focus. Boarding Party, Rebel Defenders etc,) Star Wars EU immersion through appropriate ship use, laser color replacement for all ships and text descriptions updated

Alright, a Beta for 1.05 is up. I'd like at least one person whose game crashed after deleting the pipeline effects Kyogre mentioned to try it (I had one minidump but I'm not sure of what I did to fix it).

Initially I'll mention that the MOD doesn't work when you have Sins Plus on, unfortunately, but thats neither here nor there.
Now, the background to the HUD seems to be gone. It's not anything major, just kinda /weird/ when everything is transparent, when you're used to it having a background. Not sure if that is intentional, but it makes a few things somewhat hard to read.
Habitation Domes also seems to be missing a tooltip showing it's bonus. It gives the cost, upgrade time, and brief description, but I have no idea what it does to benefit me.
Also, the Victory Class IIc Star Destroyer, when you hover over the repair ability it gives you two circles, not just one. So I'm not quite sure what the range is. I was looking at the upgrade, my bad.
when will this mod diplomacy rdy?
1. Yeah, the Requiem compatible version, Requiem plus, is a little behind on the update schedule.
2. I've actually come to like the new HUD, and it's intentional. If you really don't like it you should be able to delete one or two files to remove it.
3. It's a required tech to colonize No atmosphere and Gas Giants planets.
I don't know about Diplomacy yet, hopefully Jason will post and give some more information on that.
Just some slight insight on the mod from a first glance, but is it intentional for the Alliance to have the Galaxy Gun as well? Just thinking that the Vesari's weapon might seem more fitting considering it'd be like the Ion Cannon on Hoth. But that's just a thought.
Otherwise I haven't run into any bugs yet. Since this is my first time trying the mod I'd have to say I'm liking it thus far.
I'm glad you like it. I wanted the Kosutra cannon effect for the Rebels as well, but the actual cannon itself doesn't look remotely like something the Rebels would build, and we've been a bit busy with other things to shift it to the Novalith or another suitable model.
I've been playing Diplomacy for a bit now, and I am already waiting for Requiem in diplomacy!

Plus, I think it is time to discuss about Empire and Alliance's abilities in diplomacy.
Donation would be fitting for Alliance envoy(there must be a lot of people in the Empire
who hates the Sith), while there could be something more genuine to think of.
Entrenchment v1.05 is now supported, as usual drop by http://sins.imperial.cc for the downloads and install instruction. Thanks to Goafan again for doing all the file tweaks and re-packaging to get it up and running!
For those wondering about Diplomacy support.. I'm currently playing with Diplomacy and seeing how good/appropriate it is for Requiem. So far I'm undecided... I think Stardock needs to sort out a few balance issues and put better mechanics around the interface. Also, I expect some updates to come out that might make dev work a wasted effort so early.
IMHO I think it's still quite difficult for new or casual players to understand how and what they are supposed to do. For example, I'm waiting for Stardock to make it more clear on when to use envoys and they are clearly instructed (as a popup maybe) that envoys require cease-fire status to work first and missions/gifts are they way to do it.
Anyway, see how it goes. But not yet.

I get the samething , no models . Just tell us when you going post a working copy . Going over to your site to download the mod is bad enough ( you should just post up the link here ). But not willing to help people here with your mod make no sense.
This is a bug that has occured with all mods that incorporate the major graphics mod. It can be fixed by deleting the following files in the pipeline effects folder.
GS_Asteroid.fxGS_Planet.fxGS_Ship.fxGS_ShipBuilding.fxGS_ShipPhasedOut.fx
Well after I updated this mod, I updated all the other mods I have for sins .. none other have this so call bug you speak of , only this mod .
Those files originated with the Volumetric Explosion and effects mod, which the game is obviously not treating in the same way as 1.041. It is a common addition to many Sins mods, though I would have to know what mods you have to know if it was included or not. Also, if you had to redownload the other mods instead of applying a patch, they would already have been removed from the mod, making this unnecissary. I'm told that the install.bat file that came with the Requiem 2.7.2 would also remove these files for you, but I did it manually so I have no way to confirm this.

Christ. Ungratefull little bastard, is it hard to have to go there to download? People like you make me sick, getting something for free is not enough eh, you want it delivered to your door aswell.
For one , im not a child . And yes his web site is cludder. it hard enough to find the download link on his cludder website.
Everyone else post the link to there mod in these forums. why should it be any different for this mod? It wouldn't be so bad if i could goto his web page and look at the top click downloads then clk the link tht take me to download page to download his mod.. but no you have to search all over the page to find it .. So yes it is hassle.
As for the other mods that i have updated Distant stars, Stargate races, SoA2, the other starwars mod, just to name a few none of them have issues .

Having to go to a different website for support and to dowload are very much within what one should accept without the slightest annoyance, and you writing what you did just shows you are an ungratefull little bastard to repeat from my previous post. If you truly dont have anything worse to complain abouth i advice you to shut the hell up. Finally hes site is not very hard to navigate at all, its easy to find what you need there, unless you have a reading problem? Not going to clutter up the thread with immature banter so this post will be my last post on the issue. Feel free to rant more if you will, you certainly seem like someone who will not hesitate to defend hes tiny epeen.

Umm also, I know I am not the only one who wants this, but, if you could merge Mad Scientists' mod with yours, THAT would be awesome. As it is now, I am torn as to which mod I prefer to play, so if there was a mod (yours, because Ordian is not supporting his anymore) then I would little puppy happy. And then if it was udated to support Diplomacy, I wouldn't have to be torn as to which version of Sins to play either.

Sadly, that is very unlikely. Not only because we would have to get the mad scientists permission, but the radically different tech tree and things like additional strikecraft types would be highly incompatible with requiem. The Diplomacy version is probably inevidable though.
I gave my views on the current version of his mod and piss poor design web page . If you don't like tuff.As for the navigating of his web site being easy ,"if you say so ". As for "immature banter" as you put it . You attack me , so i think you need to look in the mirror .
goafan, ordian has released the mod to the community, and my mod updater has been allowing the mod to still be played.

Just uploaded v2.8, with 12 new sound themes, customized hud and mainview icons for all Imperial and Alliance ships, and a fully revamped sound entity that maximizes the play of all 22 theme music.
I've been having some awesome games solo and I think the music and icons really adds to the immersion.
Goa... just ignore the nasty posts and lets keep the support on sins.imperial.cc where we can delete them

I am usually a lurker here at the forum, but the possibility of having Ordian's MS mod added to Requiem forced me to make this post...
Requiem is one of my favorate mods, but if MS is added I don't think I would play any other mod.
I sure hope you add MS to Requiem!
