I've just finished the initial map. Here it is:
This is the state of the world in the year 2032. This political state was caused by an exodus of almost all nations from the UN in 2024 which dramatically reduced it's power, leaving many powerful nations free to expand into neighbouring nations and take over. In North America, Mexico and Canada declared war on the USA, leaving the US President no choice but to order an attack on both nations and estabilish the NAU or North American Union. Anarchy takes hold in Central and Southern America as military rebellions become dramatically more frequent, whereby the new NAU takes action and invades. In Europe, the EU attempts to forcefully abolish the identity of it's member states and thus creates the Europa League. The Europa League expands outwards into a new maritime empire, halted eventually by the NAU and the EAU and the crippling invasion of the Russian Empire and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In Africa, military coups manage to overthrow all governments and estabilish the Arfikaa nation, now struggling to hold off the Saudi advance. Across the north of Asia, Russia sees it's oppertunity and invades neighbouring nations en mass, forming the mighty Russian Empire. In the Middle East, Saudi Arabia aggresively expands into the rest of the Arabian Peninsula, successfully defeating the Europa League and the Russian Empire. In the Far East, Japan becomes militarised and manages to conquer a large sphere of territories, known as the EAU or Eastern Asian Union. It meets substantial resistance by the Europa League, the Russian Empire and Greater Korea who all manage to push them onto the defensive.

UGA, which is my old faction, is the United Galactic Allience. I WAS going to have the backstory of it's fomation happen in this post, but then things got our of hand, and...well...I guess we moved on.
Btw, the UGA are humans, and are the owners of Earth. I may take it, unless someone else wants it. I have been the UGA in many RPs, so I'll give someone else teh chance.

Actually Noobsauce, the formation of the UGA was explained in this post. The when the EL destroyed Sol, they took the KSA and RSR with them. These countries then joined together under one banner, calling themselves the United Galactic Alliance. R.O.U.G.E. went on to become the Vetaron Confederacy. I made up a little story to give a little bit more background: In the year 2100 a descison was reached to discover what was left of Sol. The scouting party sent to survey it were astonished to find something that they had not even concieved in their wildest dreams: Sol was reborn. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Earth, even Luna, all floated in space exactly as they had 23 years ago. Sol hung in the sky, brighter than ever. As the crew gazed in wonder, they glimpsed a massive sphere, seemingly made of diamond dissapear into the depths of omega space. The year is now 3009: The UGA has met a race of humanoid aliens known as the Ildiran Empire. With the help of the empire, the UGA managed to expand its borders greatly, becoming a massive union, with Earth as its capitol. When the RSR returned to Earth, they left New Tokyo in the hands of a group of ninjas, who vowed to keep it safe and attempt to keep order in the galaxy. The Ildiran Empire gave the ninjas a planet that they called Shadan. The Flaming Ninjas would name it New Kyoto. They were also given a plaent by the name of Free City, which would become an important place for galactic politics in the years to come.

i dont remember anything about the UGA having any worlds with hostile atmospheres or landscape so i guess in the ninehundred year span genetic engineering has become a lost art

It has been 900 years. Things change.
Just for the other new people, even though my empire may look small than alot other empires, I'm still way older and more powerfull because this is my original galaxy and have colonized another galaxy. The Orion galaxy is slightly bigger than the Milky Way Galaxy. I also have intergalatic teleporter technologhy on every ship so they can warp almost anywhere instantly.
No one has control over this galxy but me.
What about the other people in the galaxy?
You know it is a bit of a shock, to go from the most powerful nation in the world (RSR) to the least powerful group in the whole galaxy.
well theres still all sorts of tech thats probably a bit on the powerful side that had been improved by former EL scientists on atlantis, saline, and vegas. besides in 900 years im sure you could have figured out new and better ways to utilize monochromium, teleportation arrrays, and psuedo-plasmas.
The Ki'bra Empire is pure evil, I am at war with them, the other three are allies, there ships are more lethatl than mine but lack the numbers.
Also this off topic though, before I go to college, I am getting this Acer Aspire 8930 laptop.
The problem is, I have only three planets under my control. In fact, I don't technicaly even control them. I just have bases there, and those planets are under my protection. I have no way to expand my territory, and I only have a few thousand people in my group. New Tokyo may be the most heavily populated planet in the galaxy, followed by New Kyoto and Free City, but those people aren't under my control. The Flaming Ninjas are skilled diplomats, nothing more. If anyone were to attack us, we would fall within days. I don't have enough people to create a powerful military, I don't have any industrial power, I have hardly any territory, heck I'm not even a nation. We have diplomats, enlightenment, and the brightest minds in the galaxy, nothing more. In short, the only reason the the FN has survived is that nobody cares enough about an insignificantly tiny group of people to attack.
