now you try and turn it around and make like your only doing this for a bit of fun, LOL give me a break, YOUR the one who gets all uppity when they say that they prefer WB over Hyperdesk, YOUR the one who has lowered yourself now to being disrespectful to other and their opinions. You need to get over yourself and your obviously massive ego and come to terms with the fact that some people love Hyperdesk and some people don't. Those people are entitled to their choice and nothing you can say will ever change their mind.
Myself i will never use any software that requires me to use a patched operating system file so Hyperdesk is out of the question for me. But for those that are quite happy to do so i say good for them. I hope they enjoy what is a great program (from what i have seen). But don't come here and start belittling those who choose other options it really is quite immature and i can really see why you were exiled

Nimbin, Mr. ID #2,343,221, I've been doing this for a long time now as Jafo can attest. It's always fun, just not like it used to be. Do you honestly think some people on a forum chatroom can ruin my day? My life is great. I have an awesome job, a beautiful wife and 7 month old daughter and i love what i do. So what could any of you possibly say to me that can ruin my day? Seriously. You guys get what you deserve from me. Someone posts a thread about our theme or product and then i read the little passive aggressive insults that slowly get launched. It's cool. I like to give it back. You guys just aren't as good as the original crowd. Not one of you argues as wejj as Shoggot ever did. Where is that freak anyway?
I do not get upset if people want to use Windowblinds. I don't care. I get upset when people lie about the patch or at least our patch. It's safe and its stable.
And the reason why Brad and I can get into it but still end up talking to each other is because we know, we were there from the beginning... him before me but i still have some time in. When i started TSF i got flamed left and right as the one who was trying to commercialize skinning and would end up ruining the community. Every day someone somewhere was taking pot shots. All I wanted to do was give skinners jobs.

Great comment, John......especially from someone who knows what he is talking about. And this is exactly why I put this thread up. So people could admire the art work involved. I'm no trekky either but I can see the hard work that went into the package and the appeal that it would have to the public. I am a lover of customization, in general, and whilst I like the Object Desktop package.............I also love to admire some of the work that goes on outside the Stardock/Windowblinds world. And believe you me if you spend enough time outside the 'Wincusmtomize Garden', looking at various customization sites you can find a whole lot going on out there to admire.
TSF, in my opinion, provide some of the most exciting and professional designs around. You only have to look at their 'client list' and look around the TSF website to know how true that is. I echo Starkers comments and wish that Jesh would port some of them to a Windowblind but Jesh has already made his position clear in this thread.
Anyway, great to see Jesh, Billy and their team doing great stuff...........and Jesh, I hope your little girl is doing fine. I bet your a proud Dad.

I've all ready spoken to Brad about whether it would be okay to port into Windowblinds. He's all for it. Believe it or not I don't care what format our themes are in. I'm not interested in creating software. Hyperdesk was simply a way for us to be able to distribute and apply our work. Nothing more, nothing less. Problem is logistics. We don't have a distribution outlet for WB skins. I can't have Hyperdesk.com's visitors go there and buy a skin they can't apply or worse, ask them to buy an app just to be able to apply it. So there's no way for us to sell them and i'm not going to waste money so i can post on deviantART that we have WB themes. Why would I when we have our own application to apply them? See the issue?

I think the skin looks great!!! BUT them buttons (as good as thay are) do not go with the skin......AT ALL.

I worked for Disney for five years and I love the company and all they stand for. They are 'hard task masters' and everything has to be perfect and I can only guess at the hard work you went through putting those themes together and getting Disney's 'thumbs up'. The quality shows. Florida is now a distant memory and home was always the going to be the Rockie Mountains of Colorado so sadly had to say goodbye to Disney last year........big change of my making but fortunately everything worked out for best and the family love it

My only " bashing " in this whole deal is this:
I have several Hypersuites, all for XP, and now, if I want to use them, I have to buy them again for Vista. I feel like they should be replaced with Vista versions. Most apps I know of get upgraded to a Vista version, if you own the version for xp, you get the upgrade. I have a subscription to ODNT. I get all upgrades free while my sub is good. If I have to buy them again, then Hypersuites will need to get a lot better to get me to do that.

At first I wondered why the theme in the post was mostly black(I think of Trek as the colors of the ship or uniforms I guess),but then I remembered some of the control panels were black with those buttons so its all cool.
Quality work.My only critique would be the similarity with most of their other themes...the WallE theme was very different...nicely textured.The white one was cool too.
When you got Vista did Microsoft give you a free copy or did you have to buy it? So not all software upgrades are free. We're a small studio and have to make a return on our investment. The themes need to be upgraded graphically, recoded so to speak, new icons have to be added, we have to pay our coders. Not cheap. But we'll be offering our "legacy" customers a discount via a newsletter when the time comes.
