The expanse of the northern pole region lay out before the obsidian palace of the Chaplain-Court. Jannat al'-Adn, as it is known, is nothing like the eden spread across the surface of New Ravion. It's surface, riddled with the signs of volcanic activity, appears flash-frozen as if stopped at the moment of activity. Icy arcs exist in the place of magma surges; dense gases from geysers are ceased in mid air. This cold environment of dying, made in the image of the Emperor, will kill anyone attempting to travel through it's frozen mazes.
Firaeon rested against the barricades in the wake of an open roof. He stared inquisitively at the surrounding lands, before turning to Cere, the Judge Magister of Earth;
Cere said to Firaeon: "This new world, this Messiana, what is it like? Are there cities and forests of pardon, as we are told, or is it shifted to a darker period. Am I welcome there, or will I appear as but an illusion and fall with time. Do they follow our faith, or is their judgement yet to come, brother."
So Firaeon thought about this, and said: "It is surely shifted to chaos, as their gates never opened for many. You will be praised and worshiped there as it's legacy commands. Their Korbanot burns their skin, they will never know their Third Temple, as they say they will. It is lost forever and they will never know it again. If we stay faithless, we will fall and it will exterminate us, and we must yet descend into the Divine Comedy for Heofon."
WARNING: This may not make much sense, but there are loads of references to religion here (It's not finished either).
The Undying.
I'm sure you can even make Earth there...
*With the charges set, The marines storm into the tunnel, Firing at the soldiers attacking their group. They dash their way to the other side, where the rest await orders*
Marine: "We're bogged down, sir! We lost an FAV, a Tank, and two squads of men! We need to move out now!"
Cryxis: "Right. Men!! Push foreward!"
*The troops retreat into the remaining FAVs. The Tanks, batterd by constant gernade fire and tank shells, move their treads and charge at the enemy. They plow through a group of FAVs, turning right towards the main bridge. The remaining FAVs fire rockets at the group, but all miss their targets. Behind the marines, the tower burst into flames, the shield wavering and slowly fading. Artillery shells once again rain on the city. Bombers and gunships fly over the wall, dropping their precision payload on their targets. Above, the Johnson broke through the enemy fleet. Opening it's two arms, the Johnson reveals two kinetic launcher banks on the inside hinge area of both the arms, one bank on each arm. Three bolts disengsge from their holding clamps and are launched at half the speed of light towards the planet. The bolts enter the atmosphere so fast, it doesn't even flame up. It just impacts the outer wall, creating a shockwave that ripples for miles, like an earthquake. Phase IV begins...*
Cryxis: "Commander Troy! Where are you!?"
Cdr. Troy: "Commander! We have penetrated the main gate via a kinetic strike, and are now moving into phase IV. We should be able to take the city within three more days..."
Cryxis: "Alright. I will rendevouz with the main regiment in 10 minutes."
Cdr. Troy: "See you there!"
*An hour later, the allied fleet above Techoyan sends the enemy fleet running. However, they periodically return, narrowing down their forces. Marines are sent to other major cities around the world, taking over a third of them within hours of landing, for Techoyan was believed to be secure enough, and no one thought that the IA was ever going to be able to penetrate Saiv blockades. Meanwhile, on the Ares, Orodum and his marines are outflanked by Saiv forces. Just then, Hyroshi and Yin with their forces flank the enemy and pushes them into retreat.
Orodum: "Yin and Hyroshi, I presume?"
Yin: "Yes, and we heard gunfire over here, so we thought we might come for help"
Orodum: "Heh...and we're supposed to be the reinforcements. Well, you came just in time."
Hyroshi: "The way to where the prisoners are is this way!"
*The platoon moves fast, in order to prevent the Saiv from detecting them...*
This is interesting. By typing 'firaeon' into google (just me and my liberal superstitions), not only does this post appear, but so do two accounts of the same name on anonymous websites. One of the result previews includes the lines 'invision' and 'invision-free' - a synonym for blindness or a mispelling of invasion?
I also found another account under the name 'Vivea' on Facebook. On the initial account preview, the person is the wrong age (she's 19 biologically and Vivea is 17 biologically) but is female.
Don't let this freak you out, but I can be a little superstitious sometimes. I'm not going any further with this anyway.
I'm going to introduce the Rogues at some point, but that will have to wait as I have the attention span of a goldfish.
actually, that'd be a Brute. (et, tu?) Halo 3 quote, said by marine
and unless you have 2, a bullet to the brain is nearly instant death. the only thing on Earth that can survive with a bullet to the brain is a cockroach. but that's cuz it's got one in each end.
the title of a story I'm writing separately is the name of a band, and my main character's name is the name of a member of the same band. I didn't find this out till halfway thru, tho
BTW, the RP is just inactive at the moment. I've hit a creative drought, and the Shattered Earth post is attracting all the attention. That post could be drawing to a close soon, but feel free to post here either before or after that time. Meanwhile, I'll continue to post contextually.
Hierarchy of Timewights
Although the Timewights maintain a level of incorruptibility they do, like any other race, have a capacity for evil and selfish actions. To control their behaviour, the Timewights are arranged in a heirachy of ascending incorruptibility and power.
Note 1: The Timeights in the Unalatron rank and above can transcend between hyperspace and normal space. The Timewights of these ranks remain mostly in hyperspace to avoid being seen by mortals, unless they are forced to intervene in normal space.
Note 2: These ranks are not static, and a Timewight may ascend to a higher rank depending on it's loyalty, it's ability to keep reality stable and it's ability to fulfill objectives.
Come to think of it, the original Noobsauce character (the inter-dimensional traveller) could be considered an Illuminati.
*Throughout the Massive ship-colony, Ares, Yin, Hyroshi, and Orodum, along with three platoons of marines, make their way towards the prison complex, on the bow-starboard side of the ship, on the surface...*
Orodum: "So, where are the prisoners?"
Hyroshi: "There is a massive fortified bunker on the bow-starboard of the ship, about half a mile from our current location. They made sure that the defenses there were not harmed, as to pprotect it from a direct infiltration. They also managed to preserve the gravity generators, thus the surface still has an atmosphere. That eliminates the hassle of wearing a pressure suit and magnetized boots. However, they changed the atmosphere to produce carbon monoxide, the Saiv's "air", so we would still have to wear breathing apparatuses. The complex itself, however, still has oxygenized air, sealed off seamlessly from the surface, no way we can penetrate. My point is that a surface operation is Impossible. The best rout is through the large Air ducts leading to the building, underneath the ship's surface. These corridors still have air flowing through, just sealed off from the surface. We can go through there, into the building, take the weapon contol tower of this block, and retake this section. After that, it is just a Maglev ride to the bridge. We can ovverride all weapon controls and get this ship outta here."
Orodum: "A bit complex, but my men understand"
Yin : "We need to reach the prisoners before we are spotted. We don't want this to turn into a hostage situation"
Orodum: "Right!"
*They make their way to the central railways underneath the surface of the colony. They will try to change the course of one of these trains, stopping them and boarding them. They hide behind the seats and sides, underneath the windows as to sllow no guards to see them as they whizz by at 400 miles per hour. They passed by massive holes blown into the surface, likely caused by the fight to capture the colony. In the distance, they were able to see holes in the atmosphere where air was escaping out of, creating a vaccum, sucking up surrounding debris. The carbon monoxide air was killing the green areas, reducing them to brown husks of artificial land...
The Ark-class colony ships were the biggest ships ever built by humanity. They were designed looking like flat, sword-like ships, it's bridge on the "hilt" of the ship. The "Surface" was the top-oriented side of the ship, where massiv sunlights illuminated the ground, dotted with white metallic smooth surfaces, green park areas, and large lakes with actual aquatic life. The "atmosphere" was contained by a force field emitted by an array of emitters on the edge wall. A weather control tower in the center of the ship controlled which areas were to recieve artificial rain, maintained the air ducts that release oxygen, and regulated a cozy 75* weather, with artificial wind blowing at about 3 knots (Imagine the surface of the Halo, and shape it into a broadsword-like appearence, with no mountains). The surface was also crowded with skyscrapers and large spires that extended (the most) 70 stories above the atmosphere. This surface stretched 5 miles from the bow to the handle, and a mile across. The thickness of the ship on it's "blade" is about a half a mile, with a hollow interior, unilluminated, except by neon lights, walkway lights, and openings to the surface for Maglev rails. This area is the Entertainment/Residential district. Through here, Rails flow through the center of the "Core". These rails also break the surface at times, reaching stations dotted around the surface. The "Handle" is located behind the Hilt of the ship. This is where It's massive ZP cores are located. At the very back of it, an engine that can rotate it's direction in a circle, stopping at the ends where the circle meets the hilt. These Arks were made to send humans to other galaxies. Now, they were their last homes.
The hacker who logged into the ship's mainframe and called the Maglev, ordered it to stop near a closed air duct. He then opened the air duct that was closed shut from both sides. The Saiv operators will just think of it as a malfunction, shutting it after all the marines were inside of it. Through here, smaller openings branched into other compartments of the ship, the biggest air conditoner on any ship in the galaxy, one marine commented. The air was oxygenated, so it must lead to where humans are. This duct had to lead into the Prison complex, holding the remaining prisoners (Intel showed that half the prisoners the Saiv took were sent to a POW camp on the surface of Techoyan, Now being invaded). They determined thet a duct on the right-hand side of the massive duct led to the prison block. The marines were now only a few hundered meters from the complex.*
Orodum: "We should be right underneath the main Air Conditioning Unit of the prison complex, Just up this matinence ladder."
Yin: "Firewall, if the Saiv are alerted to our prescence, purge the area with oxygen. That shoud get rid of most of the enemy..."
Firewall: "There's nothing I can't do to this ship..."
Marine: "You could probably turn this ship into a moose if you felt like it."
Firewall: "Funny story about that. Once, in the Golaran nebula, I was on a-"
Hyroshi: "Cut the chatter! Both of you!"
Both: "Aye-aye, sir..."
*Meanwhile, on the surface, Cryxis watches over his downed comrade, Caedus, hooked up to a life support system*
Cryxis: "Medic, how is his condition?"
Medic: "Not good. He is slipping away rapidly. Within a day, he'll...kick it, sir..."
Cryxis: "Not good enough. I need him to take the control room..."
????: "I think I can help..."
Cryxis: "You...."
*Firaeon emerges into the Medical Tent. The marines draw their weapons on the gold-eyed figure; a blonde, young-looking man, however Saiv tend to live longer than humans.*
Cryxis: "Firaeon. And to what do I owe this visit?"
Vivea: "Calm, Cryxis. We are here to aid you, not fight yo-"
Cryxis: "I still can't let go of that grudge I have towards you, Firaeon. You mercilessly killed my people...and my dad-"
Firaeon: "And to that I owe debt to! But right now is not the time. You friend is dying. We know what is happening to him..."
Marine: "Hah! Why should we trust a member of the EmberFive, on top of that, the one who single handedly destroyed the UGA, Hmm!? Answer that!"
Firaeon: "I regret what I did. To pay for my debt, I have betrayed my people, and will aid you in your struggle. Earth still exists! We reformed it, and they have kept it hidden from you!"
Marine: "Bullshit! We would never believe you! A Saiv!"
Cryxis: "You shall pay your debt with your life!"
Firaeon: "And to that end I shall keep. But now is not the time. If I wanted to kill you, I would have..."
Vivea: "Plus, we are the only ones who can cure your friend."
Cryxis: ".....Very well. Stand down, men....How do I know you'll keep your end of the bargin?"
Firaeon: "Here..."
*Firaeon gives Cryxis an unusual looking pistol*
Firaeon: "This is a Psyc-pistol. We believe your friend was shot by this..."
Vivea: "It is extremly fatal to Judge Magisters, or anyone possessing telenic powers. Your friend, using a form of telenic powers, was affected by it, however not majorly. The force is not the same as using our telenic powers."
Firaeon: "When this is over, or when you wish for my life to end, shoot me anywhere with this weapon, and I will die a very painful death."
*Cryxis took out the magazine, pulling out a cartrige with a magenta bullet*
Cryxis: "Very well. I'm sure you are fully aware that you will die. I'll make sure that I am the one to kill you..."
Firaeon: "Agreed. Vivea, see if you can reverse the effect on this one."
Vivea: "I'm still trying to learn how to reverse it's effects. I'll do my best to help him."
Cryxis: "If he dies, you'll die with him."
Firaeon: "I understand..."
*Vivea stars a chant, in an unknown language, that echoes throughout the minds of those surrounding her. A blue aura surrounds Caedus, a blue-white light shines from the bullet wound underneath Caedus' right shoulder, slowly closing the wound. Caedus slowly awakens from unconcsience...*
Vivea: "Okay... he's going to be a bit weakend, but I believe I have managed to reverse the effects of the psych-bullet."
Caedus: "wha...whaaat...happened...?
Cryxis: "Rise and shine..."
Caedus: "Cryx? And...Firaeon?"
Cryxis: "We broke through the first and second wall, Caedus. We need you for the raid of their HQ."
Caedus: "Gimme another hour or two...that was the best sleep I had in a long time...minus the excruciating pain...hehe..."
Cryxis: "We'll be ready outside. Rest, while you can, we still have an invasion to conti-!"
*Caedus is already asleep...*
Cryxis: "Motherfuka..."
Edit: Visualising him now, I think blonde hair would be a good idea. I could give Vivea brown hair instead.
Psych-pistol.
Terminology clear-up!
The correct word to use here would be telenetic.
Who's Firewall? Is he one of the Timewights?
During the story, I will be using colours to give an identity to each major character. I use this site to obtain the hex code for each colour, so please pick your own colours. However, I would prefer to use colours for major characters only, as it makes them stand out from the crowd.
Firaeon: "We must let him rest for now. As it is, he is likely to die."
*The tent flap opens to reveal another strange figure, this time wearing a red cloak and carrying a large golden fan. Alongside him straddles a small polar bear cub, dressed in armor of a strange red-tinted metal. The marines raise their weapons, but the guns fly out of their hands with a single look from the figure.*
Vivea: "Ah, so the gods choose the paths of mortals."
Mr. Q: "My masters are still a little pissed at the Judge Magisters, capable as they are of destroying solar systems and so on. They ordered me to assassinate you both. But then, if no-one says anything, your lives could be spared."
Cryxis: "Our men are ready to attack the Saiv HQ and seize Othniel. Can you help us?"
Mr. Q: "This polar bear happens to be a master ninja, I can summon Dematriatrons, and the life of a Timewight is boring as hell. I've got three reasons to help you, so yes, of course."
Cryxis: "Orodum, Yin and Hiyoshimaru are
(still being written. Feel free to post in the meantime)
He is a Marine Technical Specialist that specs in starship mainframes. He hacked into a wall terminal and was able to get into the colony's mainframe. He called the Maglev, he stopped it, and he opened the air vent, all using his skill. He was joking about the duck thing (or was he?)
I don't think Mr. Q should make his appearence in front everyone, he should only be seen Cryxis, Caedus, Vivea, and Firaeon. Cryxis and Caedus would have to be told exactly who he is, for they do not know of the Timewights, the Ucori, the Ark, nothing. Cryxis will be told personally waaaaayyy later in the story...
-Nooban
I don't like you keeping my Ninjas in the dark.
Samurye.
I thought that's what they were best at! Ha ha ha... OK, seriously then. If you've read the heirarchy of Timewights earlier on this page, you'll be up to speed with the divine.
Sure.
Firaeon and Vivea are ancient (about 8,500 between them, despite being only 17 biologically). In their long history as Judge Magisters, in addition to many run-ins with the Aradians, they have met many Timewights, even Valetronians. These encounters gradually built up to a quiet rivalry of power, between the EmberFive and the Timewights. In an effort to control them and other 'free radicals', the Timewights could indeed start a war with mortals; one which could consume entire unvierses. I'm thinking that, in such a situation, Mr. Q would have to make the difficult choice between his race and his loyalty.
Y'know, I (and everyone else, for that matter) have never properly introduced myself;
My real name is confidential, obviously, but I'll tell you that I live in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, UK. At the date of posting, I am a 16 year old male, in education at Northallerton College. My strong areas are maths, RE, chemistry, CADCAM and physics. I value style and appearance but not fashion, namely because the fashion over here is really bad. I like to approach a scenario methodically and liberally in co-operation with a group, but I am also highly capable of working on my own. I am a kinesthetic learner, so I can be subject to angst. I take pride in my literacy age, 18, and my encyclopediac knowledge of fiction and the English language. Within a future career, I hope to pioneer the aerospace industry, which is going to be big in the near future. I dislike sports, although I can be partial to freerunning, despite only ever watching it and never trying it. I am a gaming avid and IT genius, however I dislike most aspects of ICT except for CADCAM. I hope to move to the United States to pursue aerospace engineering as a career.
On a side note, I am the self-styled founder of humanitism, a philosophical belief stating that mankind is in full control of and is fully responsible for itself, as opposed to a diety or external power.
P.S. If we're ever in the same country, the Flaming Ninjas should meet up.
I'll continue the story from a point where Mr. Q leaves the medical tent.
*Cryxis and the Rogues continue to watch over Caedus' ailing body, lying on the white bed and hooked up to a life support machine. Once again, the tent flap opens, this time to reveal a marine of the MWIF.*
Marine: "Commanders, there are 3 individuals waiting for us in the compound. We didn't see them come in, but we presumed they were let in. They say they need to meet with you immediately."
Vivea: "I do not sense danger. Go see these people, I will stay and watch over Caedus."
*The party moves out of the medical tent and into the open compound. Sure enough, three figures are standing not far from the tent. The first, on the left, is a woman cloaked in pure white, bearing a sheathed sword on her left side with a slight magenta glow around her skin. The second, in the middle, is adorned in royal blue and sky blue armor, with a half face mask concealing the bottom half of his face. The third, on the right, is wearing an all-encompassing grey cloak, hiding the top half of her face. Upon sight of the party, the second character strides forward to meet the party.*
Armored figure: (with a heavy Spanish accent) "Indeed, 'tis the mighty Cryx', Saiv-slayer. (facing Firaeon) To'n'all World Destroyer, 'tis 'n honor of sorts."
*As the armored figure faces Firaeon, Firaeon clenches his fist and detracts his claws.*
Cryxis: "You know this man?"
*The armored figure slowly approaches Firaeon, while Firaeon never drops his gaze.*
Firaeon: "Not on person, by any means. He is Lord Macãzar, one of the nine Seraph Commanders of the Aradian Army."
Macãzar: "Legacy'n'turn, World Destroyer, 'hath n' fury lest d'mise. Se' might at m' wester 'n' ester-"
White cloaked figure: "Quite enough as I percieve, Macãzar. Pay respect to our hosts, and not only that, but we are not here to pay for your mistakes."
*Macãzar withdraws backwards, never breaking his staring contest with Firaeon.*
White cloaked figure: "Please excuse my companion's rudeness. You are already familiar with Macãzar; I am Nira, ambassador of the Hydrogues, and the lady on the right wishes to be identified as Greycloak."
Macãzar: "Here w' are harb'ngers. Now doth we know o' the Star City, the Ar'dian fleet doth prepare f' war, t' wipe the Saiv fro' existance. I toil much, yet succe'ded nay, to delay this i'vasion."
Greycloak: "is universe reaches its ultimate impasse. Nation collides with nation and god collides with god. On one hand, you stand, but are expendable in the face of catastrophe"
*Greycloak nods lightly to Firaeon, in request of translation.*
Firaeon: "This universe reaches its ultimate impasse. Nation collides with nation and god collides with god. On one hand, you stand, but are expendable in the face of catastrophe."
Cryxis: "If the Aradian Empire invades, the MWIF will be destroyed before it is given the opportunity to grow."
Macãzar: "No't but ash will b'come o' you nations if Ar'dia doth invade. M' warning giv'n, m' leave I take. I 'continue hind'ring the fleet, b' ne'er for ever."
*Macãzar walks out of the compound, together with Nira and Greycloak.*
Firaeon: "Our freedom hangs in the balance - if a battlefield is to be decided, the Rogues will stand with you."
you aren't the only one, my friend. That is why I believe in early space colonization, to prevent a major disaster (like that in the movie Knowing) from completly wiping humanity from existence.
All you need to know is Tampa, Florida, United States, 15 years old, planned future in the USAF as an F/A-22 pilot, possibly a future in Aerospace engineering...
I highly suggest Embrey-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, FL. The best Aeronautical/Aerospace school in the United States.

Yes, however, I'm talking about the principle of freedom, wherein humans gain ultimate power. On the theme of survival, I value Earth too much to simply abandon it, unless there is no choice.
Thanks. I'll keep that place in mind.
I've got a database of the militaries of the Saiv and Aradian Empires. In the database, the Saiv have a total of 5.6 billion recruits in their ground forces alone, while the Aradians have a value too large for comprehension by Excel. The largest compehendable value is approximately 4.6656 x 10307, the number of Sergeant-Militants in the Planetary Guard, but the number of recruits will be many times this amount.
Note: The Othniel Consortium is a splinter faction formed from the remnants of the failed invasion of the Milky Way. The Saiv Empire proper knows that it's missing it's top Judge, Othniel, but it does not know anything about the existance of the Othniel Consortium. There are still Loyalist groups in the Milky Way, mostly in the south-eastern quarter of the galaxy to avoid the influence of the Consortium. When Orodum was patrolling the galaxy a while back, he encountered these groups - there weren't any more scouting parties of the Saiv Empire proper.
Ancient Saiv technologyThis title describes any technological relic* from the golden age of the Saiv Empire. These relics are often seen as horrifically powerful weapons, wherein a standard assault rifle would have the equivalent energy levels, albeit limited explosive force, of a nuclear missile. The Saiv were so diverse that, to record their technological developments, they had to reserve huge areas of New Ravion for 'fields' of data storage devices. During the Aradian siege above New Ravion, many of these fields were destroyed. Despite miraculously defeating the Aradian fleets, the Saiv Empire entered a Dark Age, from which they emerged with limited and improvised technology, though it still outmatches our own. The most prominent relic of the golden age is New Ravion itself - self-disintegrating self-reassembling metals, massive surface-to-space cannons, unassailable drone fleet docks and much more. Nowadays, the Saiv dare not approach the drone fleet docks, captured (now abandoned) and reprogrammed as they were by the Aradians, nor can they even begin to understand their civilian technology.
*The Aradians developed with technology equivelant to the Saiv. They have not yet entered a Dark Age, so they still wield extreme technology.
Jael: "I think we've waited long enough. Do it."
Subordinate: "The fleet is decloaking now, m'lord"
*Above the skies of Techoyan, a substantial Saiv fleet decloaks. Back on the surface, in the MWIF compound, the fleet can be seen clearly by the many marines. Almost as soon as they appear, the mass drivers begin firing on the ground below, displacing soil in clouds of dust. In responce, the MWIF marines rush to man their warplanes.*
Firaeon: "No way. He didn't."
Cryxis: "I don't think we have time to talk about old friends, Firaeon. We have to get Caedus and get out of here!"
Firaeon: "The bastard stole my ship... get Darth out of here, we will hold them off. Vivea, get us on board that ship!"
To be continued...
you going to finish/delete this...?
it's just been a while
Not really. You're welcome to finish it, though, right until Mr. Q leaves signalling the arrival of the three minor protagonists.
BTW, I'm thinking about expanding the RP onto another forum entirely. This is the link to the thread: http://www.astronomican.com/forums/showthread.php?p=179663#post179663. I could link the guys from Astronomican back here, in addition to linking us to their forum. It'll be good for the different cultures thing.
Now, I don't want to risk losing the microcommunity element of the D&S show, so I haven't linked back here to prevent Astro merging with us just yet. If we really decide to go multi-forum, we may need a moderation and admin hierarchy.
BTW again, I've noticed that Darth's forum has gone unnoticed in recent years. Maybe we should start posting again.
I've been gone for a week, sorry guys...
I'll continue the story later...
A lot can happen in one week. For instance, in the Shattered Earth thread, a new world power rose and fell, another rose and continued to rise, Tokyo got destroyed for the third time, and the Earth was struck with plauges sent by a giant, killer, robot Ghandi. I am not making this up.
http://www.ugo.com/channels/comics/heromachine2/heroMachine2.asp
Using the above re-discovered favourite of mine, I was able to create Firaeon himself in visual format:
Alas, the flash program used is not completely customisable therefore this is not a true representation. Among the unacheivable features are the face, sullen and nothing like the youth of a 17-year-old-equivalent, and the Helstar sword, similar to the sword seen here but not quite the same.
lawl
yeah, my nation was destroyed, and I have been removed from power...sux...
ahh, well...
I didn't know his sword was black, I thought it was some sort of crystal-ish sword...but I guess that'll do...
Cryxis: "Great...I didn't expect them to show up!!"
*Mass drivers started to pound the surface of Techoyan, an enemy fleet uncloaking just above Matriarch, driving kinetic bolts into the ground. A comm link is made to Cryxis*
IA Cdr: "Sir! Mass drivers are bombarding our field HQ!! The mobile shield generator is holding, but it won't hold for long!!"
Cryxis: "Where the hell is our fleet!?"
IA Cdr: "......Preoccupied, sir..."
Cryxis: What do you mean 'Preoccupied'!?"
-------------------------------------------------------------
*Back aboard the Ares, the company of IA marines, led by Hyroshi, Yin, and Orodum, sneak their way to the prison chambers, where many of the Ares' crew and command staff are held. They make it to the command floor of the prison complex on the top of the building, only meters below the atmospheric line. Taking out two all of the guards and staff, Orodum approaches the console, along with the Tech specialist, Firewall*
Orodum: "Okay, unlock the prison doors. Yin, Hyroshi, you and two squads wait at the entrance to the prison wards. This is still a stealth mission. Firewall, reconfigure the sealed doors to open in 0030 hours."
Firewall: "Roger, reconfiguring for....thirty minutes. Aaaanndd... a little extra. The sealed doors en route to the bridge shall be purged, as well..."
Yin: "That should make it easier for us"
Hyroshi: "Yeah, it should give us a bit of breathing roo-"
Yin: "DONT! even finish that. God, Hyroshima, I hate when you use puns"
Hyroshi: "And yet you still fell in love with me..."
Yin: "Hyroshi...."
Orodum: "Wait...you and Hyroshi are...?"
Yin: "'sigh'...yes"
Orodum: "Well, that will be an interesting dinner conversation, but we need to hurry, the battle around and on Techoyan is heating up, and our main objective isn't even finished."
Hyroshi: "Aye-aye, sir..."
*With the timer set, The prison blocks are released. The confused prisoners look dismayed and dizzy. Admiral Onkiel stumbles out of his cell. The Marines direct them through the corridor, escorting them back into the Air regulation center. Their plan: To get the bridge personell to the bridge and escape Techoyan in one piece...
...and, as usual, things do not go as planned...
As the last few prisoners clamber down the ladder, the ship's alarm is triggerd. A Saiv guard must have arisen from his frozen state when the marines were making their way to the prison control room. The alarm triggered the air locks to disengage, releasing oxygen into the carbon monoxide atmosphere.*
Yin: "Get everyone on to the maglevs. Set a course to the bridge!!"
*Above them, Saiv soldiers were holding their breath, scrambling for their breathing devices. Small, boomerand-shaped decvises that Saiv put on their neck. The device altared the state of "Human" air, separating the carbon dioxide molecules and reforming them back, and in the process, creating carbon monoxide. However, this produced a larger excess of oxygen, so to counter that, any planet with "Human" air was polluted with factories spitting out millions of tons of carbon into the air. More carbon, the better. But the devices were easilly lost, so Saiv always kept breathing devices at hand. This, the Marines did not know, and were lucky to have escaped unnoticed. However, they would be found soon, snd they couldn't hold out forever. That is why they needed to get to the bridge. It was the center of communication throughout the entire ship and outside the ship. They could call for reinforcements to take the rest of the Ares.
With the maglev halfway to the bridge, Admiral Jonathan Onkiel speaks to Orodum*
Johnathan: "Thank you for releasing us...we are...still a bit dizzy from carbon monoxide exposure and sedatives given to us by those damn Saiv bastards..."
Orodum: "Calm down. You and you men have gone through alot. I noticed no civilians were in the prison."
Johnathan: "That's because they are being held in their regular quarters. Every building you see contains half of all civilian colonists. The other half are still on the surface."
Yin: "Cryxis and Caedus are on the surface leading an offensive to capture Techoyan. Your people should be safe"
Jonathan: "Thank you. We've all gone through hell here. We heard Saiv talking, The main heirarchy of the Saiv empire has been attacked. That is why Saiv forces here are sparse. A man named Othniel has taken control of the Saiv territory!"
Hyroshi: "I guess things just got easier for us..."
Orodum: "It still will prove to be difficult. Look alive, people! We're coming up on the Hilt now!"
*The maglev switches onto another track, arching upwards above the surface, beyond the atmosphere, below the bridge section*
Orodum: "Alright, we're going to separate into two groups. Yin and Hyrosi, you take your men and escort the bridge personell to the bridge. Me and my team will get on top of the bridge and make our way to the communication room and re-activate it."
Hyroshi: "By 'on top' you mean outside? In space?"
Orodum: "Using pressure suits, magnetic boots, and our regular weapons, we'll be able to assult any forces at the top."
Yin: "Okay, let's do this!"
*The company separates into Ashi and Federation(MWIF) marines. The Federation marines take the bridge personell through the foreward corridor, while the Ashi marines take the elevator next to the corridor to the levels above.
The Ashi make it to the upper levels, which are abandoned due to the fact that they are not important. The bulk of the Saiv forces must be en route to the bridge, Orodum thought. Hopefully the others will find a safe spot to hide out untill the coast is clear.
Making it to an observation room, Orodum and the Ashi Marines prepare to crash through the window*
Orodum: "This glass is strong. Can withstand guass fire without breaking. Alright, let's blow a hole in it!"
Ashi Marine: "You look pretty optimistic, sir..."
Orodum: "When have I not? hahaha!"
*Using C-6 was suicidal. Rather, they use a plasma welder to cut a hole in the glass. Some flying debris should stop the vaccuum. Meanwhile, on the middle decks, Yin, Hyroshi and their Federation Marines try to look for a good, defensive position within the mid-decks close to the bridge, a spire parallel to the "Blade" of the ship. Like a pen standing upwards from a table, only the table is vertical. To make sure the bridge doesn't "snap off", the Bridge broadens out at the point where the bridge meets the "hilt". The Federation marines find the meeting room, a large semicircle that served as the UGA remenant's place where parlaiment would convine. Only four entrances with narrow hallways leading to the massive main halls that criss-crossed throughout every level of the ship. Large enough for Veetal Transports (VTOL) to move about (Veetals are basically flying cars). This area could easily be covered with four squads. So far, there was no sign of enemy activity, so the marines can breath a breath of fresh air. The alarms were still going off, but it would take hours for the enemy's sensors to find them, and even longer for them to get there, coupled with the fact that they rigged the maglev station with explosives...*
Fed. Marine: "God...it's about time we took a break..."
Fed. Marine: "Yeah...feels like we've been here for days..."
Fed. Marine: "You have, Rogers. three, to be exact"
Sgt. Rogers: "Man...I wonder how the rest are doing on the surface..."
Plt. Leader: "Cut the chatter, men. Stay frosty..."
Marines: "Aye aye, sir....."
..........
Adm. J. Onkiel: "Is there anything we can do?"
Hyroshi: "Just stay put. Orodum and his men are going to secure the way to the bridge. We told them we were going to the parlaimentary ward. Once they have secured the bridge, we need you to navigate this ship away from Techoyan and hyperspace back to Allied territory. There, you will meet with the other Arks, where you will be signing the Intergalactic peace treaty, as well as the Constitution of the MWIF."
Yin: "That is why we need you. You will be a significant person in human history, Onkiel, if you aren't already..."
Onkiel: "Thanks, I needed that. There's already enough stress as it is on my men. We were hoping to be rescued, but not in this fashion."
Hyroshi: "Well, we like to make things stealthy."
Onkiel: "We had enough hardships as it was. Trading was difficult, defense was a critical issue we lacked. We were in constant fear of pirates taking our station, or running into a black hole. Then this war started. They took our home, and our lives. Now we're returning the favor...'sigh'...sometimes I wish I was a bystandard..."
Yin: "Don't say that! Sure, you've endured hardships, lived in fear your whole career, but it is that we overcome these hardships that make us human! My master once said to me: 'The man who is challenged more often has a better chance at being a winner.' that means the more hardships one has, the more hardships he can overcome, and thus become a better person. Let's say you had a problem between two groups of people on the colony, they were killing each other, and the people went to you for an answer, and you fix it. You'll only be known to have ended that dispute. That's the only thing you'll be remembered for. Now say you had that problem, plus the ZP core was overloading, and your course was set on a colision course with an asterroid. You stop the ZP core from exploding, and you divert the ship rom crashing into an asteroid. But, the two groups of people kill half of your population-"
Onkiel: "That would be bad"
Yin: "So would have the asteroid and ZP core overload! The people would be angry, but you will also be remembered for saving the other half of the population! you saved your people twice out of the three times they were in danger! Better than failing on the one time your people were in danger! If you only have one hardship to overcome, the likeliness you are to fail that one challenge is higher than the likeliness of you failing to overcome three challenges!"
Onkiel: "I think I get where you're going at..."
Hyroshi: "I know, Yin is hard to understand..."
*Yin smacks Hyroshi on the back of his head*
Hyroshi: "OW! it was just a joke!"
Yin: "St
I'll finish the rest later
The sword is made from metal obtained from an unusual meteriorite. The meteorite itself is kept by the House of Burning Worlds, but even now no-one quite knows the identity of the metal, nor does anyone know how to manipulate it. The techniques used are long lost knowledge, but ancient records claim the sword was forged at least 27 billion years ago (0.4 billion years after the formation of the universe), probably during the ancient era equivalent of the Saiv. Variant dating of the metal produces chaotic data.
I was about to post the re-vamped image of Firaeon, but it looks like it's already happened. Look at my last post.
I've finished designing Vivea, and as it turns out, she can be depicted slightly more accurately than Firaeon. The face still isn't completely accurate, though.
Below is a proposed image of Cryxis. It's not quite the badass merc look, rather a veteran officer look, however a badass merc look could be presented as a seperate image. BTW Noobsauce, I tried modelling him around his specification, but I couldn't find anything that looked like a Bladerunner.
Below is a proposed image of Darth Caedus Morgan, as in the RP model. I'm not sure wether to go for a blue lightsaber or a red lightsaber, nor can I find a way to reduce the strength of his eye color. BTW Darth, if there's anything you want me to put into this image, just let me know.
Edit: This is the closest hair I could get to that shown in your avatar, Darth.
Edit 2: Correction, THIS is the closest I could get. It's only slightly shorter than the hair in your avatar.
I'm getting sick of the RU-03 mission on EndWar. Every strategy that I try either fails at the start or fails halfway through. They can call in a WMD to crash all my units, making advance impossible. Not only that, but whenever a large number of troops are fighting, I succomb to the fiddliness of infantry and all my units die. What does the game expect me to do?
Screw the voice command, it's no more dynamic than the regular command system. They really should have introduced this for the PC.
It looks like the eyes are busting out of the sockets, I would make it have slightly darker and a little more hare and make the force lighting darker
Here's another proposed image, this time of Yin. Do you think her gender can be identified?
Edit: The peach circles (actually goggles) are part of her look, so instead I changed her pants to a feminine dress. Also, I know that pure white is too strong/plain; light grey is more distinct.
holy crap not that much more hair, look at my avatar's hair.
For yin, get rid of those stupid peach circles then you can not tell the gender.
edit: change the hair back to the original shorter version
I love these pictures! As for Yin, I think that that is a very accurate representation, although I sugggest that you change the orange on her to white.
I've finished designing Orodum's model. In this image, I decided to go with the space pirate look with a hint of the commander look. This represents his on demand command system, used during the middle of combat. Like with all but the first two images, they're non-canonical, so I'll be happy to change stuff.
Edit: Either this is the blade you were thinking about, or I've gone wrong and there's no more ritual blades that don't come from the 18th century. If the latter is true, follow the link and load this code. You can find the blade yourself from there:

I've managed to match your avatar's hair now, do you still want me to do this?
I've noticed that Impulse can't run the flash application, so this link should now open in a new window: http://www.ugo.com/channels/comics/heromachine2/heroMachine2.asp
Below is an image of Hyoshimaru. I've tried to standardise the appearance of Flaming Ninjas, where a darker colour of clothing indicates master status. The sword on Hyoshimaru's back is meant to be his father's sword.
not diggin' the meta-parrot. anyway, one main correction: the Ritual Brand I use is dual bladed. if you've played KOTOR, you'd recognize it. essentially the most powerful non-lightsaber weapon you'd use. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Echani_ritual_brand
and here's the armor I wear in heavy firefights (just for reference, not one I normally wear, so don't bother with adding this to the pic):
