4v4 (Courtesy of me) It's an interesting game, sorta... Guy I faced minidumped. I think it's even money weather it would made that much of a difference if he stayed. My side had someone who we suspected to be a smurf, but turned out to be a newbie, happens often. So the newbie didn't lsiten at first, and got rolled like a fine cigar. Special thanks to Dark Vortex for great attitude towards the new guy, and picking up the slack on his side. Game ends with one side leaving due to some time constraints, but once again it's even money as to how it would play out. Especially since our side is heavy econ at that point.
OLD Entrenchment 1.03:
4v4 (Courtesy of Qu4r) Have not watched yet. Make comment later.
2v3 (From Top Vasari) Very nice game, the side with only 2 players wins.
4v5 (Courtesy of Me) Strange game. I won on my side barely by killing the enemy Marza which was at lvl 5. My marza was low like lvl 3 only because it was away from my fleet most of the game doing demolitions. I also took a beating to my income when my Homewolrd got a bit of razed Luckily I still had good income cause of multiple roids+neutrals. Elsewhere there were so fights going on, my team was winning each of the fights thou, or at very least holding the line.
2v2 (Courtesy of Proliteri) Classic 2v2 with the winning team winning on both fronts. Multiple Capships used.
OLD Entrenchment 1.02:
4v4 (courtesy of JJ) JJ fights multiple players with heavy feeding going on all over the place. Nice attempt at use of culture.
3v4 (courtesy of Brothers in Arms [_] ): Interesting i guess is only way to describe this.
3v3 (Courtesy of mysterious person): Lots of early action. No econ beyond neutrals.
5v5 (Brothers in Arms): Fantastic map, everyone has fun, even the losing side!
3v3 (Brotehrs in Arms): Good rush, followed by nice rebuilding. Ending with a ncie starbase defense vs multiple fleets.
4v4 mixed : Mixed teams, sort of. The underdog team pulls an upset in this masterpiece of Sins art. Watch an evil rush unfold on an unsuspecting victim who goes 2 civic labs first. Also tactical prowess likes of which have not yet been seen by your truely. Taking my opponent apart in a systamtic and strategic matter, piece by piece.
5v5 mixed : Faced with certain doom due to map positioning, can Astax pull off a magic trick to stay alive? Also so horrible horrible play by his teamates This game was really a 3v5. One guy surrenders after he lost 1 planet. Another guy has nagative income on 7 planets, and net income of 2.7 by late game (so much for mixing noobs and vets). I didn't even notice till i watched repaly Comes with an extra special LOL moment at the end.
4v4 Economy on front : In MP you must be bold, and do as much as you think you can get away with! If you thinky ou can get away with doing economy on front, then do it! Game is upsidedown, and assbackwards, some pocket players not doing econ? Guy on front #2 in credits and econ overal wtf!
3v3 blowout : When you get taken out early, it's a blow-out. Happens to all of us sometimes. This game I made 1 mistake due to lag. I only got half the terran cap upgrade, oops. I mixed my econ and military build up pretty good. Only ran into trouble after colonizing enemy homeworld and a roid. But my allies helped me out with some cash to keep my factories pumping
3v3 match : What to do when you suck? Try complaining about the other guy getting fed. If that doesn't work, lose...
Please let me know if the replays show odd behavior. Something that would not otherwise be considered normal Had 1 replay desync fromw hat I remembered, but after I restarted Sins it played fine.
An example of how different a soase game can be:
http://www.filefront.com/14555395/AutoRecord-09181618.record
I think the arrangement of people around the circle of starting positions was:
B-B1-A1-B2-A-B-B-A-A2-A
With B1 and A1 having their home terrans connected by a phase lane. A2 was the feeder and then fed A1, allowing him to pump out 5 Advent Drone Host carriers early game, which let him run over B1 (who received no feed). B1's strategy was to just hold A1 off until B2 could knock out A1. So B2 rushed over to hit A1 but the carriers took out his LRMs and then A1 was able to run over B2, making it gg. I felt like a total moron until I saw, in the game stats, that A1 had been fed, allowing him to quickly pump out 5 Advent carriers.
errr...didnt get half of the post...and no its not that
its a fresh one where we used capships more then usual...buttons called this 'cap spam'...eh?...whatever....
Watching the game now Proletari. I must say the starting strats of all the players need work. Only Chose strat fits his starting position. dark blue went 2 Harmony, but then didnt need it, Bags went 2 military fast even thou he had a row of 3 roids, and could have gotten trade instead. And you, man 1 mil lab as TEC that's a new one... well i guess on some maps you might want the repair fast, but not on that map :/ 1 civ as TEC is a better strat, which Chose actually did.
Ok i saw the rest, interesting that u guys pulled it off. Think Dark Blue should have spammed disciples, and use his existing illums on any lrms that join the fight after. Bags on the other hand, that was a bit of a problem on his side. If he was more careful with his marza, he would havedone better since it would reach lvl 6 before Chose's marza. Though with that many hoshikos MB wouldnt kill the enemy fleet, but it would weaken them.
spent money only on caps for a purpose of getting them faster - civic lab + 2 terran upgrades + 2 build cost upgrades is 2650 creds right?:>

Buttons and Boom UR Dead
vs
CoolKiller and Krath
We formed the teams correctly, the best and the worse vs the middle 2.
Interesting one Buttons. But it looks to me like CoolKiller jsut lost it for his team. It's a classic inexperience manuver he pulled. You can't go 3 Hostility temples and not rush properly, and try to trade after. This isn't AI battle. I hope he learned his mistake.
Selfless bump. I added 1, waiting for more guys
astax u asked for a replay of mine...personally i still dont know why but here u go any ways.
ok so about this replay, well i sucked at cap management, for u will see i lost 3 caps, and not only that the guy i went up against first had a bad start compared to my start which my start had 3 roids connecting and he had none...the only thing i like about this game is my ability to manage 3 fleets at the same time...other then that its not one of my best works but its the one i picked at random so here u go.
http://www.filefront.com/14725735/AutoRecord-10080007.record
this is a good replay for ppl to watch if you wanna know how to diversify and use vas properly...cykur didnt miss a step in this game and is still one of the best players i have seen play this game.
I've got a couple for ya
Scout Rushing at its best
The only way I can describe this is I was pretty much map screwed. I had only 1 phase lane to an ice, and then a second ice, and then my enemies homeworld. I had to rush. He went Illums (or at least was gearing to get Illums), so I went light frigs/scouts and flushed him out.
Balls to the Wall Rush
This is probably one my best games I've played in a while. It's the rare set-up where it's 5v5 and all five playere are on 1/2 of the map (even split down the middle). Of my 4 allies, 2 went military on the other side and challenged Darvin. On my side, the two guys who went econ knew me and knew I'd put good use to their money. I love _|~Jbaum as he's one of my favorite poeple online. Very chill all the time. But still he was the enemy and nothing stops a raging amishman on a warpath.
Light Frigs: Welcome to the state of usefulness
Howler and I had a pretty good match here. Two Advents butting heads. My set-up gave me a bit of an advantage because I had two roids and then among my other planets I had a lava and an ice each with 4 mines. Suffice it to say, my early game rush econ was good.
Any more 1.041 reps ? Watched the 4 posted and they where good to watch, chat log was pretty lol at times too
Ok Jbaum time to become a star.
Haw to loose a lv5 upgraded tec fleet on lonley vasari Sb with 1 upgrade? Jbaum will show u
http://www.sendspace.com/file/i8zsx3
unfortunately u need 1,03 sins version to wach it
here is an awsome 5v5. It was a pug but the teams were not balanced very well.
On my side we had Me (_|~Uber),Caius smurfing, a noob, a half noob and an average illum spammer.
Their side was Krath, Star Player, Seagele, Tek Janson (an averrage player) and cakemix who is also about average.
My side ended up winning awsomely.
New one here
_|~Uber
"a half noob and an average illum spammer" You have picqued my interests! I think I know this idividual. I shall review and get back to you
Yeah Star player disappointed me on that game, he just got <insert sexually explicit adjective> over and over and over again by Caius. kind sad. and really it was a golden setup, our seemingly 2 best players on the wings with 3 feeders. also id like to add that CGL is madly out of practice, and tek jansen isnt as good as I had thought. thats all I have about that.
Hmmm the link just takes me to "myfiles.php" and I just made an account assuming that was the issue, it wasn't c..c
Am I missing something here ?
oops, there i put in a new link this one should work.
Hehe nice game, although at epic I imagined like 5+ cap ships each
I had a FFA yesterday, 3 of us and after an hour or so we where having these epic 8 cap ship battles each... Was fun but I came second not first rrrr
Damn watching that game made me dream about sins. It was some game I was in, like 5v5 or bigger and my team was winning. I was just noobing aorund making tradeport for a while. I finally attacked with 18 cap ships and some hoshiko and Cielos. Yes 18 caps, not 16.... wierd. I guess since it was a dream.
Yeah, 16-18 cap ships is more my idea of epic
lol x3
I got a replay for you.
http://www.mediafire.com/?zdndmtfwnmz
a very awsome 1v1... me vs a newb...
he played really well (or i played really badly)...
anyway... it was a awsome game, we ended up switching homeworlds... and so our income was crap for a long time... durring which time his fleet was significantly bigger than mine. So he constantly mauraded my planets, and i colonized the ones he left... it prolly would have gone on for a while... but I eventually won by... (as embarasing as it is...) culture...
...and I promised i would upload it. because it was great.
Very nice game there Pbhead!
Yeah was fun to watch, I liked your micro to abuse his caps direction of fire that was good, although I don't know why you needlesly lost so many caps and often didn't keep them near repair bays when he was attacking, still was a fun game to watch n..n
Here is an even better replay than the last one.
I went TEC and i was econ, we had a complete noob who got killed. 2 suicide SBs, purvasive econ and amazing fleets, this was a great game.
HERE!!
Lol that's the one I smurfed on! will never forget the 2 suicide sbs I did it was a classic!!!!
