With FileFront closing I will be posting FireFall v2.1 to Nakido tonight, it is an Entrenchment 1.02 compatible mini that does only six things, but i think enough to warrant a good game.
I have included ManShooter's Dynamic Movement Mod with version 2.1 which contains his Volumetric Explosions and Damage mini-mod as well. Thank you very very much ManShooter!!! Without it, my little file tweaks would seem very weak indeed. Anyway i have altered some of the specs for 2.1 from what i had in 1.0
1. Increased all captials to carry twice the number of strikecraft than they did before. Frigates remain the same.
2. All Capitals have one of their guns that is now capable of anti-strikecraft fire.
3. All planets and asteroids have had their resources doubled. (Homeworlds have 6 asteroids but the extraction rate for the home world is double what it was. All other planets and asteroids have double the number but same extraction rate.)
4. Max number of Capitals as well as max number of SupplyPoints has been tripled
5. Increased number of Starbases allowed per planet to 4 each race, Giants are 6 and Stars are 8. In addition, all the Starbases now are "moveable". They dont phase jump, i havent figured a way to do that yet, perhaps its not possible, perhaps the Devs could do this for those that request it.
6. Oh, haha, i almost forgot, The Pirates are Deadly now, haha, i upped their raid strength and gave them capitals as well. The raids consist of more ships and more of them, twice as many actually, and their Pirate base now generates an income for them on par with the Homeworld, so Look Out!!! Haha, i dont know yet if that last addition will make the game too difficult or not, but i thought the heavy players might find the challenge invigorating!!! Well, we will see, let me know what you think, so i can tweak it accordingly.

Thats it, it may not be much but i think it alters the play enough to make it interesting without unbalancing the upgraded benefits of Entrenchment, or making any one race overpowered over another. Hope everyone will give it a try and hope they like it.
Wish i had cool new models to throw in, and cool beam physics too, but im really just a file tweaker, i play with the values, and alot of the time i have unbalanced things, even when it was fun. But wanted something as close as i could get to the original and still have some tweaks to make it different. Anyway, take care, and keep gaming and keep modding!!!

OKie, Pirate tweak with Capitals may not work, i was running a game in 1.16 and had a mini-dump, i think it was the Pirate change, please let me know. I can change out the gameplay.constants and stop it, if that is it.

Yea, but i messed up with 114 starbases. Anyway, will have to figure out a way to fix that and then i can start over on that, and wanted to see if i could get the Chess Mod back in work, and thought i might see if i could help with your Survival mod Justin, if you want.

Love this mod, but the latest patch seems to be incompatable with Firefall. When I try to enable it, the game just freezes.
I'v just started an update to get it over to 1.02 Entrenchment, and as for models, i have thought i would use the other in-game models one doesnt often see too much of, certainly not on the battlefield, like i have for StarFall. Am hoping it wont take too long, perhaps a few days, then i will try to post it. Thank you for the feedback, glad you enjoy it.

You should change the number of Starbases per planet in your next version
How many?
A good figure would be 4 per grav well ! CARNAGE!
My friend and I played a mod I made that doubled all starbase limits. We lost many capital ships. Four in a grav well the size of a planet would be more than carnage. Need a new word for it. Like super-ultra-spatical-epic-apocalypse.
My friends and I usually play against hard/unfair AIs, but I don't think I've ever lost a single 'fully' upgraded TEC starbase to an AI. Players I'm sure could do it, but the AI doesn't stand a chance. I can't imagine what would happen to the poor sucker if I could have more starbases in a planet's grav well.... not that I wouldn't do it.
Not to mention if you add ManShjOOters moving ships mod!

i tried upping the starbase cap to three for normal planets, four for gas giants and nebule, and six for stars. havent gotten it to work though.
and someone needs to create a "Super Starbase" that can phase jump. naturally you could only have one though
I have a phase jumping starbase in StarFall, it isnt the Official Starbase however, it is a re-sized and weapons upgraded capital that is about 6 times bigger than a normal capital.
However i would at some point like to merge the StarFall with FireFall for Entrenchment, and see what it is like.
Yes, ManShooter's new fighter movement mod would be a wonderful addition!! I will try that, in the meantime, i have tried using the fighter movement numbers in the fighter combat ships and copying that over to the frigates, but only to a few and not all of them of course, haha, too many might be too much. But of course maybe i should try it and see what everyone thinks first, instead of deciding that more than a few is too much.
p.s Just finshed my update on StarFall to v7.5 and will be starting work on FireFall for Entrenchment next.
Just need a day to two to rest. haha, i spent the last two weeks straight on StarFall to try and get into it what i wanted.

Its because they just updated Sins, and the mod needs to be updated in order to be compatable.
Sorry, if you load it into 1.16 it is fine, im running it in 1.16 now, but definately Entrenchment is not yet compatible. Sorry, but im working on it. Right now i've got 4 mods in various states of work, StarFall to 7.5.1 and FireFall to 2.0 and and update on my PhaseGates Mod, which adds phase gates for all the races, and i wanted to see if i could get my Chess mod up and running, but it is in the least state of completion. StarFall is almost done, FireFall is still at 1.0 and is next, then the phasegates mod, it is smaller and will be quicker. And then of course back to the chess mod. Anyway, lots of work and school and work on the mods and life in-between with family and kids, haha, im feeling already older than i am and im not a spring chicken, slow mind and slow reflections and hard to keep up with the younger people, but well, thats life.
Haha, Anyway, having fun and working on it, please be patient if you can, there are other modders on the forum as well who have way more experience than me. Im mostly a file tweaker, some of course make their own ships and planets and a host of other cool stuff.

Sorry for the long wait, StarFall has gotten most of my attention, but im trying to put in 3 new races and added some music and had made at least 10 or so new ships for each of the races. A lot of work, haha, just making sure i had names and abilities and sizes right. Anyway, yes, shooting for tomorrow night for FireFall, hang in there, almost there, again sorry for the wait, im glad you like the mod.
