As you all probably noticed the engine has changed and thus MODS NO LONGER WORK!!!!
The problem is not mods in themselves but their MAPS!!!! At least thats what I'm getting!
The issue is maps now have 5! different starting values instead of four and have an added QuickStart Line with itself 5 planetary values (population, logistics, artifacts..etc).
+ The group templates have more tabs in between each so any map in a mod will cause a crash!
A mapless mod should still work flawlessly (please correct me if I'm wrong)!
To demonstrate this new change..simply take one of the maps from V1.14 (in the galaxy of the core files) and compare it to your own mod map! And you will see for yourself!

HOW TO FIX MODS!!!
Dreskxx was right....it was only by luck that my mod didnt demand the quickstart at the time I tried it on!
But for those of you who do OR do not have maps...this should solve your issues!
The error is called by two very important files which have been changed to V1.14 (the reason why we had to all reboot our sins) and are simply the 2 following:
-GameOptionsDialogue
As well as
-ICOLobbyScreen
Both are located in the WINDOW folder of your mod folders.
To correct the error and allow your mods to operate simply copy-paste the Sins core version of these two files and incorporate them in your mods Window Folder.
open sins...load mod and VOILA! Get back to gamming
PS: It worked for me...so I assume it is this but do not guarantee it 100%. Only trial and error will tell but personnaly it should fix the issue!

I haven't started going in to tweak abilities again yet...but if they say entityRefNoFound for an ability..means that the ability name differs from the one written on the ship! But that was under V1.13...with the issues you're facing..yeah I guess V1.14 is a major screw-up!!! SEND YOUR MOD Dark...I fixed Dchan's one! Send me a link and I'll fix yours!
No waste your breath on it...Core files were modified which Develloper does not recognise since its only V1.13 compatible! So Develloper is, until further noticed, A DEAD LINK!
If you want all the errors, simply go in User settings and put ShowErrors TRUE and it'll show you all errors! Corect them as you go and itll give sameresult as develloper!
Lol map designer isn't working too
you just have to delete your old galaxy files you have created with the ingame map designer.
I got also a minidump until i deleted all files there.
no, even creating new ones will work
ok i just tested if i got any more minidumps.
after I deleted every map and no dump came up i thought the problem is solved.

well as i said in other parts, may want to update this in the opening paragraph, with entrenchment you got to put all abilities in the entity.manifest for the game to read them. mods will NOT work without this file. if im not wrong it should go like this
Mod folder/(modname)/Entrenchment/gameinfo + entity.manifest + other mod files
ok, getting close but got another error. anyone have any idea how to fix this one? and yes I do this this directory in my mod.
Failed to find data file 'AbilityRepairDroids2.entity'. (SubPath = GameInfo)
the strange thing is if i replace the orginal game files the mod works fine, just getting this error on it activating. cant figure out what files might be missing.
so this for entrenchment? because if it is, read my above post. it tells you exactly why your getting that error (unless you already tried it). the Entity/manifest in the sins of a solar empire/entrenchment folder list ALL entities that entrenchment uses. if its not here, it will not be read. as for the mod launcher, i didnt bother trying to get it to work so i hardmoded the original game files.
SUCCESS, I have found that this works with any mapless mod
Distant stars
Epic mod
Anything else that doesn't install maps.
You also have to clean out your custom galaxy folder, it gives you a fatal even ever you get to the custom maps part of the map selection if you do not do so.

gota be more detailed than that really. where did you put them, what did they contain, what files/folders did you have. and is it the right version for the game?
StarTrek 3b & Star Wars .75 works fine in1.14,but in beta 3
oops i almost forgot ..........without mapsin starwars .75 and star trek 3b
well therse a number of reasons why it wont work in beta 3. beta 3 uses a new manifest system that is not like the original so mods need to be built diffrently. also abilities and ships were revisited and can no longer be just carried over. basicaly you got to redo the entire mod save maybe the research and mesh aspects of it. also the beta 3 mod launcher does not seem to work, or no one has found out how to use it properly.
