Did a search but got - Sorry, your search for 'Nexus' returned 0 results.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nexus_the_jupiter_incident for those who've never heard of it. Came out late 2004. You built up a small fleet and went into combat in various missions. Think homeworld with just a handful of ships and combat requiring more managment.
Kinda really enjoyed this game, was rumours and a tech demo that surfaced of a nexus 2. With a couple of previous threads talking about space games, one about a more epic game than SoaSE, and one about sims I got think which space game I'd like to play the most right now. and a Nexus was it.
Anyone know of any active Nexus communities that are still 'alive'?
Anyone know if the second one ever got beyond tech demo stage?
Google searches are just producing reviews or dead communities.
I still think this game was one of the best stratagy games in 2005, but needed a lving community. Unfortunately it changed it's name 3 times in development and shot it's self in the foot. Seeing zero results when searching with this game is a very common occurance.
Unfortunately the company who made the game has since moved on and seems to be developing exclusively for portables and handhelds. The main website has been shut down as well, along with the forums and main multiplayer server.
Its a pity because the game was excellent, even if it did have some quirks. A few patches would have made it perfect but the sales were so bad it kind of got stuck dead in the water.
