IGN.com has an exclusive trailer of the upcoming expansion, Entrechment, for Sins of a Solar Empire.
Check it out!
Love the music. The explosions are a little overdone though, I think They don't really sound like the in-game explosion sounds, more like they were touched up a bit. Rest is great
Yeah those Explosion sounds have some extra on them, also it looked like the Argonev flied to the scene. Still, pretty nice, that should get you some customers
Who knows, maybe in the final version of Entrenchment they touched up the sound of the explosions.
Very Very Nice!! Just another week!!

Me likey!
I really like the explosion sounds. Also, the music.
Eww! I don't know you anymore.
Actually, the explosion sounds are lifted straight from the game directory
But they do sound more powerfull in the video, maybe they are played differently?
They definitely sound different. It's not that they sound bad in the video, just unusually loud. In-game they're a bit more muted so they blend in more. These are just a sharp contrast
Edit: And hey there, psugar! Haven't seen you around the forums much for a while.
Love it!
Well done, a great trailer.
I do think its kind of interesting that this game is always displayed in extreme close up for its trailers/screenshots/advertisements. When in reality, you rarely play the game at that scale
Though I guees up close is more sexy.
man, that "entrenchment" animation of the logo makes me hope we get a new cutscene opening for entrenchment.
/drool!
The really cool thing about the videos is that they actually use gameplay! No more polygons hazah!
Pretty cool. It sort of felt like a mini movie pimp.
Cool, did that look like the Vasari Starbase was jumping into a grav well??? At the beginning. Or was it just zooming closer to it?
I try to during a battle. Makes for some great movie clips and/or screenshots. But I play on slow speeds...soooo....
That may explain why the explosions sound off to people. I'm pretty sure they get louder if you're zoomed in on them.
I'm pretty sure it was just zooming in closer, because otherwise it'd have a blue flare of hyper space travel or whatever around it. Really there isn't a difference from a camura's point of view though (a model becoming closer to the screen I mean)
Yeah, the shining thing to it's right (medical direction ) is a whormwhole which also gets closer.
