All is in the title... please help me. Since i've buy entrenchment , i cant play Sins of solar (1.12 or 1.13) .
And i cant see Sins 1.12 in Impulse so what i've to do...
Entrenchment is good but sometimes i would like to play online against some other player and i can doing that only with "Sins of a solar" at this time.
Thx
I'm having the same problem. I downloaded entrenchment today (Jan. 31) and while the beta is interesting I can't play regular sins against other players anymore.
I am having the same problem.

in order to play regular sins, you need to uninstall the whole game and just reinstall Sins without downloading the entrenchment pack, I know that is not what people want to do, but what can you expect with BETA. That is the only way I have found out how to play sins only
I'd love to know, how I can get Impulse to not download Entrechment automatically. I tried quite a few things, even removing my Entrechment registration, but Impulse seems to look up my applications online.
I'd really appreciate any hints for removing the beta.
Thanks in advance
The same with me: I deinstalled both, because I couldn't play anything of SoaSE at all: neither Entrenchment, nor the original SoaSE. Then in my "My Games" List, I saw them both...two icons for them and listed as "available". When I installed SoaSE, there was only the "Entrenchment" Icon. I can't imagine this to work as it was supposed to be... Of course, now I can't play anything of SoaSE....
Can't wait for a polished Entrenchment, which is no longer a beta, or a patch to remove Entrenchment again...

Go back to Impulse under MyGames and there is an Uninstall option for Entrenchment. After uninstalling you will need to reinstall Sins. Just don't install Entrenchment again.
Didn't work (for me at least).
After installing Sins (incl. the unwanted Entrechment) there is only one icon for Entrechment. None for Sins vanilla, just like Pako75 said. Uninstalling only works by deleting the gamefolder, as there is this 28,8 XML error.
After deleting the game and restarting Impulse there are two icons again. One for vanilla and one for Entrechment. But it doesn't matter, which one I choose to install. As soon as it's finished, there is only the Entrechment icon left and the beta was installed again. Not even removing my Entrechment serial from Impulse worked :/
I could semi-fix it by installing the Sins standalone version, but that's not really the best solution obviously
Abnovitas is right, I also got that 28,8 XML error. As him, I can't install vanilla SoaSE. And unfortunately, I only have the download version. So only left is hoping für Feb 4th
Got the same problem, where can I send these mini-dumps and how?
I suggest that you download Entrenchment on Feb 11th, or on the date when it becomes its final retail release. It has been fairly common that people have a problem with Entrenchment beta for several weeks now.
Same as the rest. 28,8 error when trying to uninstall entrenchment, no play icon for no-expansion Sins, and while I can install sins without entrenchment, once I try to update it installs entrenchment.
Worse, before today's patch I could play for about 5 minutes before hitting 2GB virtual mem and crashing, now it mini-dumps it on trying to load Sins.

You will need to manually remove the game folder, and delete 2 Registry Keys before you'll be able to re-install.Go to C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire (or where ever you installed the game) and delete the main folder. Then launch the System Registry (Start-> run, and type regedit)Look for and delete the following Keys;HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sinsHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sinsentrenchThen, reboot your PC and go back to Impulse and try installing the base game. Make sure it installs to 1.13 version, test it out before then installing entrenchment.
I am just curious, for me Entrenchment got installed into a seperate folder like phuong2040 with seperate executable files, one for SOASE and one for Entrenchment. My question is, how was Entrenchment suppose to be installed for the beta?
Right over the top of SOASE.
They want to take back contorol of there non-DRM'd game they started with and installing over the top of it was the best way, you know trying to put the cat back in the bag....
If it's as simple as removing a directory and some registry keys, maybe you could make up a simple uninstaller program that does just that? For people who (no offense intended) are probably not completely sure or well-informed about editing their registry? Gimme $20, I'll make it.
