Hi guys,
a feature protecting users to ruin games would be nice - i played a lot of dota and i really hate leavers. Bnet 5on5 and after first blood 50% the "first blooded" left - thats annoying and game ruining - any ideas how to prevent it?

There's no way in GW to see how much dishonor you've accumulated, in either the long term or the short term. I don't know of any guild ever asking about how much dishonor potential members have. Furthermore, the dishonor system isn't even implemented in any of the arenas where you pick your entire team (ie, the competitive ones), as there's plenty of disincentive to leave in higher-end play anyway, and losing badly in Guild Wars is generally synonymous for losing quickly, so even if you leave in that case, nobody cares. Dishonor was only implemented in low-end arenas where teams are mostly random and people would leave because they didn't like the hand they were dealt.
That said, I do think the dishonor system is a good way to keep people in Demigod from leaving because they think their teammate is a newb. Having an impenetrable playerbase of elitists who refuse to play with anyone outside their group is one of the best ways to kill a game.
I really like the GW implementation, including a dishonor ranking, and I'd put in an exception -
- If all remaining players vote to quit without a victory condition then no penalty is assessed. I'm thinking of situations where someone loses connection, the game desynchs, etc. where a remake is clearly in order and you shouldn't be forced to finish to avoid dishonor.
dishonor penalty shoudnt be something thats accumalative or something that is shown to others in a game. its just a temporary ban.
However, expanding on this feature would be nice as ke5strel has pointed out in his example.
Im in very high favor for this feature anyway. Hope it gets implemented...
(lol, for as long as i played gw, i didnt no that dishonor didnt effect places such as HA, but then again it does make sense to not have it. I just never left a team in HA to actually find out)
