I've 2 pc's vista home premium shortly procured. Although I tick in the Desktop X-Settings ( prefernces) the box "Run automatically when Windows Starts" nothing happens after rebooting! Desktop X doesn't start automatically. I have to start it manually which is not interesting!
I never faced this problem with XP Desktop X!
Can please anybody advise?
Thanks

May be You need to update ur DesktopX to latest version.
My latest version is updated!
Haven't heard that one before....
Just simply create shortcut for desktopx, and drop that to: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Is it a DX Theme, DX itself, or set of Objects or Widgets buddy? all I know is, I check each Widget I want to load on startup, and they all do.
Look Bilbo1930 and Tailsgirl. I appreciate very much your help. Thank you very much! However I do not understand the comment by Bilbo1930 to create the shortcut for desktopX. What does it exactly mean? Secondly I worked perfectly with XP DesktopX and had no problem at all. Now after updating to vista home premium everything goes wrong!! I had experience with XP and I did what ever I want and it worked perfectly.
Now I can't even load an empty desktop! What misterium? I have 2 Vista home Preimum PC's (new) and none of them is able to work on DesktopX!!!!!!!!
Asking at Stardock support the guys answer once only. Asking later they do not show any interest at all (Curt Hendzell).
The guys from Stardock should know what's the problem?
However I can also live without!! Thank you stardock, this is the reason why we pay our contributions and annual fees!!!!
badblueboy, send a PM to either PuterDudeJim, sViz, or RomanDA, they are all wizards when it comes to DX, and they may be able to assist you buddy.
bilbo's comment is to create a shortcut to desktopx in your startup folder - on xp it's the start>all programs>startup
shortcuts in there cause whatever the shortcut points to run at startup
