The rest of the Paradox catalog will be added soon!
Hearts of Iron
Global Conflict
speaking of TimeGate, whatever happened with them? i hope for a Kohan some day that is much more like AG than KOW (KOW sucked imo). they have hinted to a new Kohan in the past but i haven't heard anything in quite a while.
paradox has some good games-Majesty 2 is on my to buy list when it comes out this year & i have high hopes for Elven Legacy. i am also still hoping that they bought the MOM license (as implied by this article: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008/04/20/standing-on-the-shoulders-of-giants/) so we get E-WOM & MOM2. i know, i'm greedy but what can i say?
I was under the impression SD turned it down because to get it SD had to agree to lots concessions and give up control of things. I hope that PI did not make a deal with the devil just to get the name. We would not a MoO3 situation on our hands again. Especially from a company like SD or PI.
I thought they went to console games and planning an MMO that will bankrupt them.
The games we've released so far are just a drop in the bucket of Paradox Goodness we have in store for everyone here. If there is a Paradox game you've been debating picking up, hold off a bit longer. It just might show up here before too long.
Per the original announcement, we're getting most of the Paradox catalog. So chances are good that game you're looking for will be available here soon.
Yes, that includes EU III
Edit: I speel gud
Don't get so excited now that you can't speel.
I've nothing against Impulse. Though I havn't happened to use it to buy any new games, it's worked well to update GCII-ToA and SOASE. I've bought a number of games from GamersGate, several Paradox titles/expansions and some third party games like King's Bounty (great game) and Civ4: Colonization (a surprising mess). I have had minor to moderate technical problems with GG (primarily, it has a habit of timing out a lot, and a large DL often has to be restarted a lot), but overall it seems a good site and is gamer-friendly. Like Impulse, it permits you to re-download your registered games forever. I need this, since I am too lazy to backup, and had to redownload Stardock and Paradox games last Fall when Vista completely crapped out and required reinstallation. (Which is why I bought KB from them rather than Atari-who actually had the audacity to impose an additional charge for only limited downloading (a year IIRC) beyond an inital 30 days. Even better--GG had the current patched version of the game from the Russian developer, which Atari refused to release for weeks.)
So both GG and Impulse are quality services IMO, and while I'm glad that Paradox may get exposed to a larger audience through Impulse, I'll continue to purchase Paradox titles through GG. Given that GG is owned by Paradox, I assume they profit a bit more from purchases on that site--and reasonably supporting quality independent developers like PI and Stardock is a good thing. Please understand, this is nothing against Stardock and Impulse--all else being fairly equal, I'll purchase Stardock games (like Elemental) from Impulse even if they are also available on GG.
Just what I wanted to hear Zoomba... thanks for the heads up!
Regarding Marlowe's post... I tend to agree with your position and it has been mine from day one. I want the guy who make the game to get the majority of the profits. With that said, an interesting thing for them to do would be to spinoff Impulse and both companies take a 50% stake in it that way they get the benefit of both worlds with would replication of overhead and a stronger market position in sum. But again more wishful thinking on my part...
Do you have a Gamestop anywhere? I just got it there for $9.99 USD (in Michigan). It seemed so wrong and yet . . . so right! Now, to find an entire day of my life to devote to learning it.
Outstanding news! Will keep my eye open for EU3 Complete.

EU III and expansions are now available on Impulse.
And Hearts of Iron 3 later this year!
HoI2 was excellent but Supreme Ruler and Global Conflict are horrible.
Victoria beats them all.
Excellent news!
Yep! Vici is the bomb for those type of games.
Yeah, when will retail keys bought in-store work for Genesis Rising? Bit unfair they don't work. Same with SupCom (etc.)
When the original publishers stop being picky with their cd key database.
Same with Steam too, I was trying to add a few games to that but, same issue...
Thanks for the info. I was not aware that GG was spun off from PI. That should make a very close relationship between PI & SD all the more possible without the distro conflict.
