PLz everyone id like u to get your self familior with this awsome game which is suposse to have a sequel but sadly didnt.
Nexus the jupiter incident is a fts game that was one of the best games ever created interms of graphics and gameplay fro its time.
Its intented to have a sequel which is has a trailer as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhZQEvg1V0Y.
The makers of this game tho disapeared Mithis entertainment and left the game untouched.
Now i ask to to plz sign up to show the developper how much a sequal to this game is neded.

ill agree that nexus is a good game, but is this realy the place for this?
and please use something called "spell check" i can barely understand what your trying to say
and also mithis didn't disappear, it got bought out by Eidos
That video reminded me of BSG. Like a lot. Less than a week to go.
My biggest Nexus complaint is that three times I've downloaded the demo.
Three times I've been completely incapable of figuring out how to do anything. The demo is useless because it doesn't come with a tutorial, and that game needed it!
I've done the same thing myself, just ended up watching the pretty explosions as I lost .
I was drowsing off until those space battles, they look entertaining.
Nexus was awesome but the tutorial was brutal on newcomers.
The biggest thing that throws people off is that you have no way to control the flight path of your ships. The ONLY way to move ships around is to get them to move towards waypoints or entities like other ships. You can't simply say "go that way".
Actually you can Tamren. If you held down shift circles should pop up. Point the circle in the direction you want, hold down the mouse and push forward
EDIT: WOOPS sorry BAD typo
If you want to case in point the lack of tutorial, I beat the game without any knowledge of that. And some time later I also read a walkthrough of the game which made no mention of that and all navigation was done with in-game waypoints. And I was hardly stumbling in the dark, I remember points where I was charging and targetting weapons manually.
Yeah I never said it was needed to beat the game. You said there was no feature like that but I pointed out to you there was.
Anyways Nexus was fun, Nexus II tech demo looked awesome. Shame it never came out
I picked up the demo, liked it, bought it, played through it, and enjoyed it. I recall the game reviewd rather well, but somehow it's marketing push was more or less stillborn.
Couple of mild complaints: the story was good, but there were a lot of twists and changes in objective over the course of it, so I felt like I was being a bit rushed. I would have preferred to spend a bit more time and a few more levels at each part to flesh it out. The combat...I'm sure that something clever and tactical was supposed to be happening, because the interface has all these options (it's not a bad interface mind), but I pretty much focus-fired my way through the whole game without having to think very much.
Taken as a whole, a very good game that I would recommend. The story was built out of stock sci-fi parts, but very well told. Interesting level design, which can be tricky in a space game. I had one of those moments where my face was covered with a stupid grin when, fighting near a gravity well, I targetted the engines of a powerful enemy and watched them fall to their doom.
I haven't played the game for a long time, so I don't know how accurate my comments about specific details about the game will be.
There is a way. Looking at the manual again. I found information about "free movement" at section 4.1.3 of the manual. Long story short, you hold the shift button, specify how far you want to go in a given direction (look that way and make the circle smaller to indicate distance), and then release shift. The selected ship should start moving in that direction.
Edit: It looks like I took to long to write this reply. Someone else already provided a solution before I posted.

Although I found the game interesting, there are a few things it could have done better.
If the company (whatever they call themselves now) were to fix these problems for the next game, it would probally make a good sequal. However, they don't seem interested in making a sequal to Nexus right now, so I'm not going to push them, otherwise we might end up with another over-hyped and poorly developed game.
Ya, lol sorry for my spelling mistakes earlier. I was in a rush, I had lot of things to do. Two big projects and with the exams coming up too. I'm only in tenth grade anyway. But yes, all of you have good points. Although I still strongly believe a sequel is needed.
I thinks this is the best place for this. For one; nexus the Jupiter incident is a space fts which is not far from sins. Two; I think if ppl like sins, they would love to see a sequel for this game. I'm merely commenting here because I strongly think the sins community would influence the development of a sequel because there are so many sins player. But anyhow, judging by the second tech demo, it would seem that the developers were intending to make a very good game from it predecessor. Using the greatest graphics animation I've seen for any space game.
Its even more annoying once I remembered all of those places where free move would have helped. Greh.
The weapons were a pain to figure out as well. The lava/magma/plasma whatever cannons confused me for the longest time until I realized how they worked. I don't remember using missiles more than once in the campaign. Unless you launch like 10 of them at once the enemy point defence can swat them down like flies. They always struck me as somewhat useless.
I still have the game!!!
I promoted the heck out of this game way back when and I still stand by it. Despite a few bugs in the expert level near the end of teh game, which could be worked around, I still found it to be an outstanding game. Heck I even got into a little conversation at Gone Gold with Mr. Smart over the game.
On a side note, in an interview the developer had mentioned the many things he would like to have included or hopes to include in teh sequel including the ability to jump into the fighters/bombers and control them manually.
Mithis seems to have split into 2 parts after the release of Nexus and Creature Conflict. The team responsible for Nexus became Most Wanted. They had begun work on a new game and IP for the PC/360, but due to what ever reason, HDI had to let teh team go. Most Wanted recently released a game for the Nintendo DS and I believe, from my conversations with HDI, they will be focusing exclusively with the Nintendo DS.
The second part of mithis became a part of Eidos and released the awesome game battlestations: Midway. Midway had been mentioned on the Mithis website and a tech trailer had been released. B:M in a way is, from the description from teh Mithis Nexus team, how Nexus or the sequal should play. (IE tactical and jump into any craft. Play as tactical, action or a combination of both.) The sequal to B:M (Battlestations: Pacific) is due sometime near teh end of April.
On a side note. My remaining contact with HDI left and the people at HDI decided to close the website and forum for Nexus. The moderator for the Nexus forums, Sargoth, opened a new forum here: http://forum.keyswow.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23&p=86#p86 Modding is pretty small but some really cool stuff has been done including some stuff from some of teh modders here. If you are interested in any of the mod stuff I believe I have a backup to almost 95% of it. Just let me know or post the request on teh above link.
I was going to edit my top post but I am having issues at work and things are timing out half the time.

ther was an awesome tech demo for nexus 2 though. I mean its still great
I know, I posted it
At this point though both Most Wanted and HDI seem to be focusing only on handhelds and have moved completely away from the PC market.
dang nabbit!
I know. I feel that pain. I had actually met HDI and Mithis at E3 2004. They were very nice people.
