I'm sure this will be met with some measure of controversy...
I am saddened to see any child die, I empathize with the true innocent's that have perished in not only this war but all the other futile conflicts.
...but....frankly I've had it up to my ears listening to radical advocates spouting off about their children being killed, parading photos around as if THEY had had no stake in what led up to the event.
I believe that radical islam is on its way to destroying our planet. When your putting weapons in the hands of, or strapping bombs to.. your young men..you have lost any and all claim to being a civilized people and imo merit zero sympathy.
When I look at the faces, in the photo's, I am hard pressed to find ONE face that isn't in some form portraying evil or anger, They don't want peace, they care nothing about truces or diplomacy, they don't cherish or celebrate life.
It is a disease, a drug that is slowly but very surely speading accross our planet, I personally don't see anyway it can be stopped.
I am loathed to think about raising my own children in the current world climate. Sure there are many more forces at work, but I believe the single most significant threat to the west in the years to come is keeping this evil at bay.
Some of you I'm sure will invoke Isreali \ Western agrression, warmongering, ideology, any number of reasons why it's not their fault... I think thats BS.
Look at the images, do you see peace seekers? Children of God?..
I see pure evil.
Hey angus is that your combine!!!
There is no plant.
First rule of plant club: You do not talk about plant club.
Second rule of plant club: You DO NOT talk about plant club.
if a hemp bush burns in a forest...and there was no one around to inhale....did it really.....oh nvm...
Queen Margrethe of Denmark expresses her concerns very concisely....
"We are being challenged by Islam these years. Globally as well as locally. There is something impressive about people for whom religion imbues their existence, from dusk to dawn, from cradle to grave. There are also Christians who feel this way. There is something endearing about people who give themselves up completely to their faith. But there is likewise something frightening about such a totality, which also is a feature of Islam. A counterbalance has to be found, and one has to, at times, run the risk of having unflattering labels placed on you. For there are some things for which one should display no tolerance. And when we are tolerant, we must know whether it is because of convenience or conviction."
Interesting reading everyone's views.....a complex subject....thanks for the post v...
thanks for the link to 'How the Jews left Bagdad' Dr J.....up to 5/7
Questin is, if there was, would they remember being there or the burning bush?
Maybe that explains the Burning Bush story......
Benny Shanon, professor of cognitive psychology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem wrote a paper, "Biblical Entheogens: a Speculative Hypothesis", in the philosophy journal Time and Mind, which suggests Moses may have been under the influence of a hallucinogenic substance when he witnessed the burning bush.
...and they all went off and had Twinkies....... DingDongs and HoHos......(whatever they are....)
Frankly not enough weed is being imbibed.....
....that's the root of all current troubles. [no pun intended].
This wall was spawned from this Topic... https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=39211&libid=8
That's a really nice wall, Jack, beautifully done too, I might add.
Yeah sure, but not by a superpower government pouring in millions of dollars and guns......
Brilliant!! Perfectly grumpy with their own agenda set in stone so to speak....
Now that is a good statement.
Also, sorry for my vicious ranting yesterday, especially to you vStyler. Bad day. I usually keep my head cool, but sometimes get pissed off when I somehow get provoked. Im just so sick of this whole situation, and I feel that one have to look at both sides for a solution.
Watching clips of children getting their shoulders and knees systematicly destroyed by IDF`s sporting large rocks, probably made me build up a certain distaste for the Israeli way of solving problems. It has to be one of the worst things I ever saw done by human beings, considering this was children (no more than 12-14 years old). Also the clip of a pleading father and child, clearly unarmed, getting mowed down (practically executed) by Israeli soldiers because they were at the wrong place at the wrong time is extremely provocating to watch. There are no excuses for this, and only contributes to make me feel that the israeli army is no better than Hamas in certain aspects.
For the record, I do find islamic extremists just as distasteful, brutal and inconcievably hateful as anyone, but I choose NOT to be afraid of them because thats all they aim for. Terrorism is only efficient if people feel terrorized so to speak. Thats my main point, even if I chose the wrong path to express that yesterday.
Again, sorry for the choice of words yesterday. Have a good day everyone, and may you have a peaceful life.
ALL extremists are bad... Or they wouldn't be extremists...
Here's my final word on this subject... (or final 1000 words, as it's a picture...)
Guess whose mum's got a Whirlpool?
Gizmos you have a good point about our government but most of this is part of a rich group of illuminatiy who are privilaged and have the money to back it up. Now the problem is that the people don't rise up and ask for a cleansing of the system to get rid of the tainted and dirty people on the inside. We have grown to big for our own good. We the people need to take some control and demand answers.
Messiah has the right idea. I am an atheist and a bit of a buddist so I am not saying my views are right or wrong but when you go so far as to kill yourself because you believe that my religious belief or the way I live my life is wrong or immoral then you have MAJOR MENTAL PROBLEMS. You can't tell me how to live my life and you can't stop me from doing what I want. I don't follow the views or teaching of some higher power, or invisible person "GOD", or some stories about a hippie who came to earth and did some random garbage. The stories in the Bible, The Tora, The Talmud, and The Koran and just that; Stories. They are fables. Stories that have been exaggerated over time after being told so many times that the people have gained magical powers or did extrodinary things. The reality is you live the life in the morals, values, and ideas we have learned about in our own life times. Thats why many of us are shocked when people are arrested and convicted of out of norm crime and such. They see life a different way and tested the morals of others. Technically the idea of "God" has only been around for about a few thousand years. Where was he when the dinosaurs were around. Where is the proof that he is real. Coincidences and luck don't constitute god.
Islam can't force an entire civilization of people to change the way they live because they don't agree with it. Most of the world does not like the US because they don't like the way our leaders are diong things, the way we live our lifes, or any other reasons. they can't stop the way we live because its the way we live. Acceptance needs to be embraced before the world can stop fighting. The US is the test tube in the world for people from all cultures to live together and get along. All the other countries and religions are sideline people yelling at the players like parents at a soccer game. Lets handle the violence and issues in our country to bring some unity and prove to the world that we get together in the test tube first before we go outside the box and take action against a much bigger problem.
Unfortunately, Benny was on Bennies when he wrote it.
"Large fleas have smaller fleas that sit on their backs and bite them. The smaller fleas have smaller fleas and so on ad infinitum."
(I thought I was done here but....)
Islam doesn't force anything, it's just another religion... Extremists are people who get so used to fighting they don't know any other life... Look back at the christian crusades, it's basically the same thing but it was more widely accepted...
Actually I believe he meant that the topic/Hamas(?) nauseates him.
I just had to change because of you. That was unbelievably funny!
You forgot the "in my humble opinion".
What you wrote was offensive to people who live their lives by those 'fables'.
You might even have a "Fatwah" on the way....be careful of those folks, JukEboXAuDiO.
I have requested the reference/URL for the films chris ihao states he saw in a pm.
When he produces them I shall forward them to the Adjutant General of The IDF.
I have a feeling, though that either these "films" were propaganda or produced by someone else (ie Hamas).
I follow Israeli Papers very closely and have seen nothing of the kind in them, and this would have appeared.
Another difference between Israel and it's neighbors.
Is there more to that remark than just a change to a totally unexpected topic? I found it funny, but not so much as to be "unbelievable".
Not much by way of intellect, then. If you dislike what leaders are doing...then protest that ... don't dislike an enntire country!
That has been a large part of this thread, also.
vStyler and others have repeatedly had to say the following:
We are objecting to Hamas, terrorists, anyone who feels entitled to kill other people because they feel like it, hate them, hate their religion...etc.
Israelis don't want to kill Arabs or Muslims. They want to live in peace without rocket attacks, suicide murderers blowing themselves up or the threat of these things.
That is the purpose of the current action in Gaza. To stop the Terrorists. All they have to do is disavow violence and recognize Israel's right to exist peacefully.
They aren't willing to do that.
Fine. Then be killed.
Get it?
Tell me again when Israel's right to exist peacefully was decided, and who decided that? Where is the rest of the middle easts rights to exist peacefully?
This is an issue that goes way beyond individual morale. It's easy to say that "if noone fights, there is no war"... But that's not the american way... Just look at the way you rate movies... A nude human is considered more wrong than scenes of mass killing... Seriously... I'm in no way religious, but the words "Let He Who Has No Sin Throw the First Stone" comes to mind....
