I will just post some very unfair behavior:
I Preorderd one month ago as many others too...
I was on the sinschat and heard about some people preorderd just 40 mins ago and they already have his entrechment...
So i spend some money to give it a try. I bought another copy of entrenchment over impulse via paypal and get INSTANT Access to the entrechment download.
I Think that realy not fair to the customers who preorderd month ago..
I canceled my first preorder now. Hope they will accept that....
but now i have to go.. have to play my 2. version of Entrenchment....
I need help big time guys, anyone know how to fix an error that goes like this
"The procedure entry point _BinkShouldSkip@4 could not be located in the dynamic link library binkw32.dll"
It's stopping me playing Entrenchment
Bink is used for video playback I believe. Other than checking to see if you have binkw32.dll on your system, I don't know what to advise.
I had to download binkw32 as well as 2 other dlls, put them all in the Windows directory and still nothing =[ was looking forward to wasting the next 3+ hours on there
Try this:
1) In Impulse click the Stardock logo (orb) in the upper-left and select Check for Updates (or restart Impulse).
2) Install Entrenchment normally. If you have an install in progress and don't want to take any chances, Cancel it and start over.
My apologies for the issues.
Basically, reinstall Entrenchment.

I also have not gotten any mail or anything letting me start the beta. Any idea when this will all be sorted out?

Call me an idiot if you like but, please, where do you go do download this? I got an email containing a serial number and an order number but nothing really telling me how to get to the download. it may just be that I am unfamilar with using impulse.

No problem Maeas, Load up Impulse and go to the games tab at the top. At the bottom right there should be a button to download
Anni, please, have pity on me. Unlike all of you guys, I have to finish a critical project for work over the next couple of weeks, I don't even have time to play games, let alone try Entrenchment. Sigh.. The best I can do is sneak around at work and read these forums.. Sigh..

hey, ive just pre-ordered entrenchment, but with a different email account than my impulse account...will this stop me from downloading the beta, or even getting the game?
No you should be fine. Click on the blue Stardock Orb in Impulse and update your information. If you have any troubles just email support@stardock.com. This happens quite a bit and is easy to correct.
by update, do you mean change email address's? because im checking for updates and nothing is coming up.

Hopefully the final release is less buggy. I've had alot of crashes/minidumps since installing and playing the beta. I can barely play 5 minutes without it crashing, so I have to save constantly incase I have to re-start it because of a crash so I don't have to start playing all over again.
Still excited seeing some of the changes I actually got to see though live in the game.
I`ll ask the usual question - I can`t find it mentioned otherwise these days. What is the latest eta on Entrenchment?
And I wonder if I`ll have to reinstall something... I am informed of an error in my Sins install when I Verify Entrenchment/Sins. 0.91.002 is the Entrenchment version I have. That the newest? Perhaps the error I spoke of was simply a residual artifact of some sort that can be ignored.
Mind you the game runs perfectly. Probably nothing to worry about.
There's no ETA, it's going the "It'll be out when it's done" route.
0.91.002 is the latest build to my knowledge, I am not sure why it would show something other unless they're just uploading a new build and getting ready to post about it.
Thanks for the info. I`ll just ignore the verification error - its never caused me any other hassle.
