GameSpy.com has started publishing their 2008 Game of the Year Awards, and today they start off with the PC category. Both Sins of a Solar Empire and Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor were in the top 10!
It’s especially exciting as Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor won for 2008 PC Strategy Game of the Year!
“Thus the genocidal Korath can quickly develop weapons of mass destruction but find diplomacy difficult while the mercantile Korx get three times as many trade technologies. From this seemingly small change springs one of the finest strategy games ever made. Put simply, if you've ever enjoyed a strategy title, you must own Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor.”

Yeah boy! Good times to be sure!
Quality, shining through the fog.
Well deserved.
Awesome news!
I have to say that I really was impressed with Twilight. The first expansion was ok, but Twilight of the Arnor really made each faction different in a good way. I can only hope that GC3 follows in its footprints.
Couldn't agree more. Congratulations Stardock!!
Yay Stardock, the little company that could!!
Please don't turn evil! At least not yet...
you...
Oh, and I have to add that I'm disappointed that Spore made the list. It was simply too flawed in its execution, and its development was unfocused.
And again people reaffirm my disdain for any democratic process.
