When fighting *as* TEC *using* strike craft. A little sneakyness goes a long way.
Tip 1 : dock your strike craft (your fleet fights ok without them)
Tip 2 : Plan the flak burst if you only have 1 kol. 2 can decimate advent strike fleets or seriously damage vasari
Tip 3 : Bombers do lots of damage when unopposed

even without barrage ability maza is awsome and do very good damage, and can damage more then one ship with pritty neat ability
Marza deals so much more damage overall than any other cap it's not funny. It's best anti-fleet even though it's a siege cap. It's a beast from level 1 with the massive frontal DPS. Speaking of which...
The Kol's "impressive" quadruple frontal laser beams actually have less DPS than a Cobalt Light Frigate.
I can support making most other caps slightly more powerful. Especially their low level DPS.
But I still think Missile Barrage needs a target cap.
Since the Missle Barrage is an AOE weapon, I assume it moves with the Marza during its 15 seconds of stardom?

Barrage is channeled...if you move Mr. Marza, you break the channelling. It is like this with all channeled stuff.
In the end none of this matters because the Marza will continue to be awesome lol. I just had a game where me and my allies just spammed marza's about 20 total if i remember and backed it up with a good fleet and it absolutely steamrolled everything in its path; and once we got them all up to lvl 6 and above there was no chance for anything in there way I wonder why the races don’t have an equivalent in their long range bombardment ships the Vasari have something close to it but still the Marza does top that and the Advent really have no equivalent.And to the people that say you can easily counter them: If you are smart enough to know the Marza is good yo uare generally smart enough to create a balenced fleet to back it up. And lets say you get to the point where everyone is pumping out crusiers and caps by the dozen even if the enemy can destroy them when you control 2 star systems and are getting 350 credits per second replacing them is a trivial thing and you can experience them up with no combat at all.But I still think that compared to other units they are not that overpowered i know that yes, they are overpowered but they can't win the game. And like everything else everything is good in moderation spamming is never going to win if you play against a smart enemy. If someone buiilds nothing but marza's then someone spams bomber carriers and laugh while the marza are chasing something they will never catch.Thats my 2 cents anyway feel free to disagree and tell me I'm wrong.

The thing is Marza's do win the game. The game comes down to fleet vs. fleet and lvl 6 Marza destroys fleets. Even if you interrupt the Missile Barrage it is still very likely to inflict enough damage with the first few volleys to tip the balance. No other cap can do that including a lvl 6 Radiance with a similar ability. Not to mention a single enemy Marza forces you to build caps with counter abilities.
The amount of Marzas you see in multiplayer is a good hint at the cap not being very balanced.

it can gankk a roid in 30 secs and get you enought stuff to get 5+ hevy cruisers or 3 carriers.
plus the thing is capitalship killer, and can interrupt a phase jump for 15 secs.
And COLONISE on top of that.

Funny. I did write about the Egg being another overpowered cap but deleted that as the thread was about Marza.
I do think it's way too much that a single cap gets colonize, siege and powerful hull eating / cap busting abilities.
I have yet to see an experienced Vasari player pick a cap other than the Egg.
The Egg is an "Evacuator" so by definition it should be more defensive in nature. Just like the other two colonizer caps.
well the marauder is other good cap.
the phase out hull and speed ability make it good for both, interruption, aiding your carriers to run araund gravity well and being general pain in the ass for the enemy.
but takes lots of micro and brains.
Egg is no brainer.
Maza is no brainr but its not omnipotent untill its lvl6, and even then its only on trick pony...

3 lvl 6 Marza's are harder to achieve than the only Cleansing Brilliance + Malice, which was great BTW, I dunno why they nerf Malice to such shittiness that I don't even bother to learn what it does now.
I have used 3 lvl 6 Marza's in SP today, very nice And works in SP cause AI is retarded. If you are player and you see 3 lvl 6 Marza's, and you don't know what's coming, then it's your own fault.
Malice got nerffed because it was freely scaling to infinity.
meaning if you got 30 illuminators, while enemy got 90 assilants, the illus will do Colossal damage to all of them.
it got multiplyed by the 90 assilants and illus 3x gun mounts to Stupid-o-proportions.
It got ridiculos to a point where you culd not play anything else expet advent if you wantd to compeet early game.
And while barrage is LOL POWERFUL, its not even close to LOL OVERPOWERED the malice was.
PS: ive killed 40+ fleets of vasari cruisers with malice + cleansing combo, too. It did more damage the more units there were, but it was dificult to use against good players and you needet 2 caps... anyhow...
Well 90 Assailants should end the life of the Mothership in a rather brief interval.
But I don't think it's ok they nerfed something people used to a point no one uses it anymore. That's why no nerf is a good nerf. When you make something useless you just shitting on your own game. Scale it down, sure, but make it useless, why? There were million other things they could do to Malice that would leave it viable. And I would be scratchign my head trying to decide where to spend my next abiltiy point.
And any AOE abiltiy scales to infinity, the limit is how many things are in the blast zone.
