For those of you not clear on this, this is not an official thread, of course. I am just looking to compile what we know into one big thread for people who are wondering on progress.
Originally they hoped to get Beta 2 to us in November. With the release of Beta 1b (or c), beta 2 was pushed to Nov. 26th. With the holiday, it was pushed back to hopefully this week.
Well, patch day is here and we have "official" word from irc:

About the delay:

About features on Beta 2:
From a recent dev diary, a pic shows all of the demigods preparing for a match. This has lead many to believe all the demigods will be included in beta2's initial release.

Update 12/9/2008-1220 EST:
Recieved information that makes it unlikely for this week. Likely in a week or two. Let's hope it is not 2 weeks from now, as a release on Christmas would be extremely cool, but given gpg and stardock employees have families, it makes the release likely delayed further. Fingers crossed.
Update 12/9/2008-1505 EST:
Recieved additional information. When Yarlen heard that it may be two weeks, he was very upset and said that will not happen. Two other "trusted confidential sources" confirm this.

Also, in another thread he gave some great info on regulus. When it was asked by Ke5trel, "Any guesses on Reg's 4th ability?". Mike Marr replied:
"I'd guess it has something to do with flying. Just a guess though."
And it the citadel upgrade thread he helps to quell the debate by saying:
"Hey all, Just checking in on this thread. Currently the direction for the Citadel Upgrades is they will use a different currency than gold(working title War Score) that will be earned by holding and capturing flags. Each team member will have their own earned War Score and be able to use it to purchase Citadel Upgrades that benefit their entire team."

Then you're really not checking very well as in this very post it says almost certainly Thursday, and the latest journal, linked to on the front page of the website, says: "So that is what we're working on fixing between now and Thursday's release of BETA 2."
I hate waiting for this. I can't even play it right away on Thursday. >___<

I might not be able to play it on thursday because It depends how long it takes them to send me the email. Im wasnt exactly the first person to pre order.
Oh, me too. I'm a newer member by 30,000 people! Probably like 3 of them are going to play DG though.
I think it would go buy the order of who pre-ordered compared to member ID. I'm in the 700,000's member group but i preordered only a month ago
You are correct. If I recall correctly, as per previous stardock betas, it first goes by token, credit card, and then pay pal. Each group is subdivided based on date of order. So a token order will always be before a cc order and a credit card order will always be before pay pal. Of course a cc order on 10/20 will be before a cc order on 12/2. Keep in mind, no matter when you ordered, if you ordered before thursday, you WILL get the beta on thursday.
I hope they are able to streamline the multiplayer these days. But otherwise i will have fun playing single player and maybe even against my oldest son. Didn't play much the first beta because of the pathfinding problems. Only to see if they were installation and run problems.
Yeah but I'm just saying by the time I actually get the beta on thursday I might not have time to play it. I have a test and other stuff on friday.
So beta today? dec-17-08 yes/no? anyone?

Beta tomorrow, probably 12-2 EST and it should only take a couple of hours for them to queue everyone to receive the Beta, regardless of when you ordered or how...
yep. And I hope the networking part is not as bad as it sound... hope we can still play some games online..
if not I'm thinking they will hotfix in early January, Wagnard...still not great but you can tell that this is a dev priority...

P.S. Before eople tell me not to be mean or do personal attacks, he is a friend since high school, almost 15 years now and I know he knows when the beta is I call him everytime I update the thread.
Man i wish i can get some personal friends to play Demigod. Either all of them are to into WoW or they don't play games.
all my friends we're really into dota and told me about this game when it was first announced. Now I'm the only one who preordered it and they are like "eh." That's one reason I'm kind of upset that they are disabling the LAN for beta 2. It's going to be really hard to encourage them to get it if I can't even play it with them!
That is the saddest story ever. Admittedly, I gave it to him for christmas. Then again he gave me L4D. We both wanted both games and it worked out perfectly.

Meh, i guess its kind of sad but i really don't mind. I mean i go out with them basicly every single day except the ones that play WoW. Frankly, i don't see why that game is so addictive i'll admit it its a very good game i played it and stopped playing before the Burning Crusade came out.
I really like that period though >.< how about i think about it.
Yesterday was Entrenchment, today gonna be Demigod. There's too many good games this christmas! Not to mention the 360 titles like Dead Space, new PoP and Gear of War 2. I'm being overloaded with good games and cannot finish them all, dunno if it's good or bad thing = ="
I tried the wow free trial it was good not great. I'm not much for those games because all the concentration on items and stuff.
I can't even get anyone off their cheap asses to buy this game, they all want to bum it off me by going to my place every so often and playing it on my account. I sure hope I don't get owned
