Sonofa....that's it! Time to put my plan into action. Look out Canada...and Zubaz.
Go get em Munkeh, and go in flinging!
Barb....the best tutorial is to open up any rightclick folder and look at the images...sizes..."the pink" and just play around with images of your own or for a skin and you'll see how easy it is.
Yeah, that's what you told me about docks....I still can't get it. But someday, I will do WBs, docks, RC's, you name it. I don't give up easily and I wanna do it all...lol! You should see my windowblind...it's a hoot!
Jim...anytime you want/need help with docks/Rc's your welcome to write me directly. Right now I'm working on Winstep (Workshelf/NextStart).
Definitely do that Barb, a great way to get started and I hope My email helps too! <----
Thanks WG and Fred...I'll have more time next week, I'll see if I can understand it better then!!!
Okay Barb, let Me know if You need any help!
Why I have never used it... having a bmp right click and a per pixel WB..?
I know what You mean!
Another thought............ I'm not sure if it's already possible, but, I've tried all kinds of stuff to do it........
Either a buffer between the meters/address box and the popup arrow......or if the popup arrow could have indepentant margins.
Now your asking for a lot GM...you'll be lucky of you ever see pngs implimented in rightclick.
I wouldn't mind giving RC a shot. If there is a tut out there please come to WC. And bring the .png's with you
RC isn't hard at all to do...but it needs major updating.
I gave up expecting any major update on RC. Its too bad though...for those of us that use this program its become a ' must have ' When my object desktop ran out I didnt bother renewing for another year at the time. I knew I was going to be changing to another computer in the near future. After I set up the new computer I had lost all my Object Desktop programs and I tried to live without them . That lasted about 2 weeks. I could not survive without my RC........
I know, but I can't help it! every time I try to do something different with it, it seems like I run into another wall. It's just annoying to want the arrows in a certain place and then the plugins don't fit the skin right , or having to compromise where I want to put them so that the plugins fit.
I agree Karen, once You become an RC user You can't go back! and hopefully since You gave up expecting an update, that means We'll be seeing one soon, because things usually happen when You least expect them!
If they update RC it most likely will only be to fix the importing of windowblind skins....which was kinda the whole point of the program. Its supposed to be self-skinning. Thank God for the RC skin library.
Actually, Since updating to Vista, I have never lost any of the skin settings or indeed anything.Seems much more stable.
It would be interesting to know for certain if any updates are actually being done though.
I just gave up using it,since I found no way to back up the configuration,it's just not worth the trouble.I'll stick with OD+ and DX.
I've lost some settings once or twice with Vista, but, I don't think Vista was the cause. It was usually while I was working on a skin and had the menu editor, skin tool, notepad, and photoshop open all at once. Most likely I did something to crash RC.
It would be nice to hear something!
Sorry for the late reply........It would be great if they got the importing to work, but I still enjoy skinning it, so I hope they also address some of it's limitations too.
I'm like you Fred, I'd much rather use a skin I have made or one that was skinned...thats why I didn't care that the importing skin feature stopped working. Although I have not had RC crash like it used to in a long time. Once in a while a sub-menu just disappears for no reason. But thats a far cry from when the whole menu would just go *poof*
All other suggestions aside......probably the most important update for RightClick right now, would be for it to work on 64 bit, as it is fast becomming the standard!
If they fixed the "Use Windowblind Skin" setting, RC could get the new skin color anytime the WB was changed.
True, but You would still need a hue shifter if You wanted to use a skin that was made.
