Hey folks, I've bought a copy of the Ultimate Edition and trying to update it. The problem is the game doesn't show up on Impulse in "My Games" section. Any help to get my game updated is greatly appreciated.
Go to the ? in the upper right. Choose the registratin option. Verify that your serial is entered correctly.
Done that, but didn't work. There is no option for the "Ultimate Edition" so I tried selecting the individual ones... to no avail. I only have one key but it doesn't work for anything I selected. Well done Stardock!
Both the Endless Universe and the Ultimate Edition versions of GC2 are in the process of being supported on Impulse. The reason they have not been supported on release is most likely that they are compilations by Kalypso, not stardock directly.
check the GC2 board for more news, there will soon be an impulse update that will add both these games to its registration and update lists.
kryo mentioned that it should be up and running in a few days.
It has been a few days... but nothing
Sorry there is no set time line on this one. We are just trying to get UE and EU (funny I never noticed that, Ultimate Edition and Endless Universe for those whom don't know) ready to go on Impulse but several things are still pending as fixes first. If you have already registered the serial number the download will simply become available once it has been published through Impulse.
The EU is up and running. I'll hang tight for UE.

Ehh... EU has been up for a while and UE still isn't up. I'm no programmer but is it really THAT hard to update Impulse with UE CD-keys?
I am not sure what the exact reason for the delay is, but remember that it needs to be tested to ensure that it does not break UE installs. I am sure it will be added as soon as it is possible to do so.
Unfortunately Stardock are closed until the 5th January 2009, so I would not expect to see any updates until that week at the earliest.
Awww..man. Closed till the 5th....bummer! I'm DYING to get this update!
Hmm. The only reason I've stopped playing it is because of the botched economy. I was hoping for the patch... for quite some time now.
You can always play some other game first, like Civ4.
If you read my post on reply #7 we can link the serial number to your account for you so that it is ready to go the moment it becomes available through Impulse. You would need to supply all of your account information to do so. We would be happy to help as much as we can until the release is fully ready to go.
I really appreciate your assistance Seabass. I'll keep waiting. In response to Fistleaf, I do play other games in the mean time, but they don't quite satisfy me the way Gal Civ does
