Will this be compatible with version 1.17 of vanilla sins or 1.03 of Entrenchment? Just had to ask. This is perhaps the best mod available. having just 5 types of planets in the actual and official game is BORING!!!!! The devs should really look into adopting this mod as part of the actual game. IT would make things so much more interesting!
Any news about an Entrenchment friendly version? The baic handful of planets are just not enough :θ
Sorry for the long update on progress guys. Me and a buddy decided to go to Banff, Alberta last minute right when I got back from Edmonton (July 31). I just got back two days ago, both days I spent with buddies here in Van city but I have spent nearly all of today on the mod so far. I am pleased to say that the entrechment version is now well on it's way and I am testing after each major addition I add in as I ran into problems with the previous entrechment version I made. So far I have got the Brown star 100% working a long with balance changes and one Dwarf Planet as well as about 50% of the original mod. I won't say a release date but it will come soon. I think (unless a buddy calls me) I will work on the mod for all of tommorow as well but the day after I have plans. Anyways thanks for the support and wish me luck, this compatibility switch is much harder than it seemed...lol
Man do I ever have bad news. I was in the middle of testing a game with the developers EXE as I finished adding EVERYTHING but rebalancing a bit, in the middle of the game right when a big battle started my computer screen went black. I quickly went to the back of the computer thinking the VGA cable was unplugged but it was in there nice and tight. I forced a shutdown, opened up the case and turned the electricy back on but not the computer, and the motherboard was recieving power. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I took it to a computer shop and it turns out the fucking hard drive died. I didn't backup anything because I bought a new computer not to long ago and I thought everything would last...guess I was wrong. I lost all my data on the mod, and everything else on the HD including all my music (10Gb worth...that's gonna be a long download...) and videos, contacts, and all kinds of various files. I am really sorry, 1.2 was almost ready to be released and I fucked it up...I'm really sorry. I will do my best to restart the conversion of 1.1 to entrechment (I still have the 1.1 file on my flash drive, but no 1.2 info). It will take me a while to get everything sorted out again, and now that I have nothing to work with I have to start from scratch. I won't be working on this 100% anymore because I know it will take me a while and I still have a lot of things to do, plus it's summer and I really like spending that time with buddies (hence why I went to Edmonton and Banff). If I've got spare time I will work on it but I can't give any estimate on a release.Anyways I sold off all the old computer parts other than the HD of course, and made some money and went off to buy a better quality computer with better parts, this time I went with Western Digital instead of Seagate, don't buy Seagate products guys, maybve you'll have better luck with them but I sure didn't...I've used WD before and had 0 problems but the Seagate crap is cheaper so that's why I bought them when I did. I got a quicker CPU about 1.2ghz quicker but still a single core. I got an 8600gt to replace the old AGP 7600 and got a better PSU then before. Anyways for those of you without entrenchment there is still 1.1 but as of now 1.2 has hit a big brick wall that will take a while to break through.XselenS
IF you need help in converting the files or use in the newerversion of 1.17 and 1.03 Entrenchment, I can help. I just got a new PC. Just tell me what you need me to download, and how to convert

there are no significant changes from 1.15 to 1.17, so I expect all mods from 1.15 to work in 1.17.
entrenchment has several changes in the entity files that WILL CAUSE DUMPS, but my MOD UPDATER v1.1 can fix them while moving your mods up to the current version

Harpo as far as I know your mod updater only upgrades Vanilla version X to Vanilla version new X, or entrenchment version X to entrenchment version new X right? Like Vanilla 1.0, to 1.1 or Entrenchment 1.0 to 1.1 but not Vanilla 1.0 to Entrenchment 1.1 or vice versa right? I have tried your updater for other mods by the last method but it didn't work. Anyways...Jrla21, the mod works with 1.17 but won't work with any entrenchment version. I restarted the conversion from 1.1 but I am moving slowly. I really wish I could tell you how to convert but it is kind of hard to explain and there are some certain things that have to be done differantly like I remember I was working with star conversion and all that and everything was going great till I worked with the blue star, then I had to do things differantly there and learn as I go. Thanks anyways though

you are correct in that the mod updater does only update within an expansion ie vanilla 1.15-1.16 to vanilla 1.17 OR entrenchment 1.01-1.02 to entrenchment 1.03 as it was designed to do
Hi, I tried using this mod with vanilla 1.17 version of SoASE, but it doesn't work - no new planet types, no changes in research tree etc. Could anyone help me?
Any news on the progress of the mod? I haven't played Sins in forever ><
