When Object Desktop 2009 is released, this is where the known issues will be posted. Please post your findings here as well. Thank you!
Notes and Known Issues: (all issues are being worked on at this time)
Theme Manager 3.0 (Published at 11am)
Deskscapes 2.5 (with XP support published at 1pm)
Bootskin Pro 1.0 (published at 6:30pm)
WindowBlinds 6.3 (published on 11/18/2008)
To apply a dream after installing Deskscapes on XP. Right click on the desktop and choose properties. From the Display Properties menu Deskscapes now has a tab.
You say it shows up on the My Desktop tab, but not on the Object Desktop tab. There is no Object Desktop tab. Can you please post a screen shot?
I'm having a problem with Theme Manager not loading Windowblinds. The Aero Midnight Windowblind doesn't show up in Windowblinds stand alone, either. ANY windowblind with a them will not install. I'm on Windows XP, service pack 3.
Where do I go to download OD 2009. Thank you in advance. I am an Ultimate OD subscriber
Sure does have OD tab, Desktp Extras and My Colors tabs. Also when Theme manager installed a bit later a sys tray icon for SDC popped into my sys tray. Where did that come from? It shows in sreenshot.
Theme manager not load aero windowblind theme
My OS is windows xp service pack3
Object Desktop 2009 is available through Impulse. Download and install Impulse to manage your software.
http://www.impulsedriven.com/about.asp
Use the full installer for best results.
You have to apply Aero Midnight before the skin will show up in WindowBlinds.
What happens when you try to apply Aero Midnight?
You need to apply the suite once before the skin will show up under the skin tab or under WindowBlinds.
Download and install Impulse from here: http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup.exe
Then use the Desktop tab in Impulse to install
The Object Desktop tab in that screen shot is a custom tab you created. What did you select to create it? It shows up when we create a "category" tab for Object Desktop.
zargon, when attempting to apply aero midnight via theme manger, everything is applied except for the windowblinds skin. well, let me put it this way: the wallpaper and the icons changed. the windowblinds skin was not applied and the desktop gadgets failed to appear.
I try to apply aero midnight with theme manager but not load the windowblind skin except icon packager , wallpaper .
I dont Know about weather , clock etc because i have them uncheck
Zargon did you see the screenies above that show tabs in the Impulse beta? With AGP card, when tried to launch a dream from Theme manager nothing happened. When tried to launch theme from desktop properties/deskscapes, I got an error messag about the AGP card and redirected to a page that explained the issue.
I created the other tabs not the My Desktop tab. Is there a problem with that?
I have the standard version of Object Desktop and my license expires June of 2009. Do I get OD 2009 or do I have to have the Ultimate or renew my subscription? The reason I am asking is that I got the latest version of Impulse, but my Object Desktop Apps aren't updating to the 2009 version.
What happens if you go to the Applications tab, click on skins and apply Aero midnight through that mechanism.
Do you have WindowBlinds installed or just MyColors?
If you click Yes on the dialog that warns you about the AGP card, the dream should apply.
You are entitled to 2009 updates.
That is not a problem, I just need to know how you created them to help you.
They aren't showing up in "My Desktop" tab. Is there anything special I need to do?
Please contact support@stardock.com to help you out with that. We need to know your private information that I would rather you not post here to resolve that issue.
When I apply the Aero Midnight theme, the wallpaper, icons, and gadgets appear, but the Windowblind doesn't change. If I look under "applications" in Theme Manager, the Aero Midnight windowblind is not listed.
Thanks. I've contacted customer support.
