Sweet!!! At least this will give those who haven't preordered something to enjoy...
Good news to hear that this is coming out soon. Hopefully the modders willl leap on it.
Holy Crap! That's one huge list!
That's one heck of an update. Thanks for your work and those helping with the Beta of this!
Big list, but is it available now?
I just tried to download the update through Impulse and got an error, even though its showing an update avaialble - it didn't even get started before it threw the error.
Whatever Impulse is showing as 1.09c is probably not something that's supposed to be there. 1.1 will be available on the 18th and there's no beta update scheduled until then.
I wouldn't worry about it, I expect it'll be fixed/removed tomorrow when Yarlen gets in the office.
WOOOT I LOVE YOU GUYS couldn't wait for a 1.1 release and now I know when I get it!
nice , glad to be out of the beta stage...
Nov 18 LOL...
Seriously, this update changes the game in a big way and in a very good way. This is one of the biggest patches I have ever seen.
Thank ya and Good work!
wow, lots of stuff and it's not even the entrenchment microexpansion. Should be interesting to see how the AI handles extra capital ships in mods. I really hope entrenchment provides some cap goodies as well.
I can already see new early build priorities changing. now that frigates start out with full anti matter, we might see less colony cap ships being used at the start of a game. create 2 or 3 colony frigates, send them out to capture a planet or asteroid nearby without much wait or downtime. This gives me even more reason to send the Kol out to splatter those neutral militias who are too chicken to pick a side!
Looks like all good stuff!
I do have to ask one nagging question though, does this finally have an update to leverage more then one cpu? Currently the other core is only used for texture loading, but it would be nice to really use my system to it's fullest potential for some massive maps.
Cant wait
Hehehe!!! You beaut !!!
A Question is Entrenchment still going to be released on the 18 as well or is it delayed?
This, however long list, is a pure patch and rebalance. I don't see any new content for which Stardock is known and which was kinda "promised" for 1.1. Sadly you went for "mini expansion", so content probably went there.
It's delayed, there was an announcement the other day. It's being pushed back to make time for a public beta phase which will start soon after 1.1 launches. If you preorder Entrenchment you'll get beta access.

What do you call that then? Balance changes? That's just some of the stuff.. you could at least try reading the whole change log rather than the first 20 lines.
are there pictures from the new meshes? what units are affected?
The completely new stuff that I remember off the top of my head: all races' fighters and bombers, TEC capital shipyard.
The capital ships got higher resolution textures so they look a bit prettier as well, but the models are unchanged.
This is Wonderful!! Thanks Guys and Gals, Great Work!! We appreciate it!!

Most of these changes were in the last update. They just added ALL the fixes even from previous update together.
That was the point, yes. We had 3 beta phases, with the final release being the total combination of all those changes plus some extras
Looks like you been bussy guys.
Thanks.
I can't find the thread (search isn't working?), but I thought a dev said this was actually going to be a value of 150?
You have two line items for anti-strike craft frigate DPS reduction. Did you guys in fact implement the 25% reduction? 43% is too high, flak frigates are going to be useless, making carriers the ship of choice, because you will need carriers to combat carriers. I recall it was originally 43%, but it was supposed to be reduced to 25% for this reason.
That's what I remember as well, the beta 1 nerf was 43%, then they changed it to 25% from 1.05, so an 18% un-nerf from beta 1.. leading to the confusing changelog
