This is my second scenario - The Battle of Mazari. This is a dense mix of asteroids representing an asteroid belt around a star. There are lots of phase lanes, some dead ends some confusing paths making you galavant around the map like a headless chicken.
Briefing: The Enemy have begun construction of a fortification somewhere in the vicinity of the Triaca Locality on the other side of the field. Our intelligence reports point to either asteroid 802-Triaca or asteroid 794-Triaca. We have established our forward base in orbit of asteroid 1196-Palas. Our Engineering Corps have constructed a strong base there. We must fortify it. We have 2 recon groups and 2 strike groups operating within the field. We must clear the Mazari system of enemy forces in order to re-establish our presence in the sector. No doubt you will need to reinforce your position as this is looking likely to be a bloody and long battle. Due to our operations in other vital sectors what you start out with in this sector is all we can give you at this moment in time. More help should arrive. Recon G1 is currently deployed in 911 Kasha in the Kasha Locality. Strike Group 1 has taken up a defensive position around 985 Cehan within the Cehan locality. The U.S.S Galaxy leads under command of Commander Nuwon. Both groups will protect our right flank. Scans show the enemy has taken up positions both the Sukar and Renna localities. Their ships have been spotted operating near 880 Sukar. Recon G2 is currently deployed in 933 Elhael Strike Group 2 is holding the line at 990 Nirea led by Commander Pienaar onboard U.S.S. Constellation. The Garda Locality is crawling with enemy ships. Long range sensors have detected several small battlegroups operating in the area. They are using the interference from the asteroids to hide their positions. we believe that the enemy has a sizeable force protecting the area around 875 Garda Further more, the Mazari Militia are operating around the Mazari Sun, The Mazari are caught in the middle of the fight - you should keep them on side. They can be bribed to not hinder our operations in this system and if the price is right they will attack our enemy. Make sure you keep them on side as we do not have the force to fight both the enemy and the local Mazari. However when you drive the enemy out, annhilate the Mazari. Total control of this system is vital. Also reports from Arcova Scout 129 confirm the presence of mercenarry, privateer and other unaligned combative ships. If they hinder our operations in this system, use lethal force. This system is vital to the sector. If we loose this system then our position along this entire front is in jeopardy.

Each Asteroid is named by my own little convention. I divided the area into sectors called localities. each number on the asteroid that appears in game is the Y position of the asteroid on the Map. Therefore 890 Sukar is positioned 890 on the map in the Sukar Locality. Obviously because of the naming convention being the Y coordinate 793 Triaca will be a good bit away from 1081 Palas (opposite ends of the map actually)[HINTS and TIPS]Hint: Find as many asteroids or miny asteroid belts you can as you will need to setup bases on them to give you much needed resources as this battle may very well turn into a miny campaign. Do not waste time defending dead asteroids that cannot be fortified heavily and do not have that much resources.Keep the Local Mazari Goon squad happy because they are seriously armed to the teeth (over 100 ships starting off). They can and will wipe you out if you fail to keep the bounty up on the enemy. If you want to go pirate hunting then by all means do so but they have over a hundred ships, and you have more pressing matters - the enemy fleet that is kinda floating around the map too. If you are a highly skilled player or just a run-of-the-mill lunatic then sending your cap ships against the Mazari will undoubtedly give them greater experience. The best way to cover this map is to set 6 or 7 Arcova scouts to auto-explore because this is truly a big maze of a map - it is supposed to be an asteroid belt orbiting nearby a star.Your Recon and Strike Groups are deployed in strategically imperative parts of the field already, advise nailing down your positions there.It would be advisable to build a Novalith Cannon or two, doing so would mean you could wipe out the enemy bases.[Asteroid Localities] Renna - Enemy Controlled Sukar - Enemy Controlled Kasha - None Controlled Asvar - Friendly Controlled Palas - Friendly Controlled Cehan - Friendly Controlled Triaca - Enemy Controlled Garda - Enemy Controlled Nirea - Friendly Controlled Elhael - None Controlled

I found a small problem with this scenario - there is no colony ship at the start of the scenarion, it not sounds too problematic, but when you start with -270 fleet points it's problematic.
If you have the cap ship with the colonize ability, it shouldnt be an issue. I haven't played the scenario, though, so I can't really say. It's nice to see some scenarios popping up, even if there isnt much support for them in Sins. Maybe something for the second or third expansion, or (maybe) a future patch?
There is NO COLONIZE SHIP it whole scenario, nor frigate nor Akkan BC - why the hell are you post such comment if you haven't played??
As a suggestion to check if one is available in the event you hadn't already done so, perhaps? It's a minor bug, and not something to throw a temper tantrum about.
Hmm, I seem to have uploaded the wrong version Doh! The original version has research done and has a colony ship. I will reupload the proper version later. Sorry guys its been a long weekend and I had about 9 different versions of this I was working on but fear not!

Mission 12: The CehennaMore Missions may be appended. I will leave the scenario open for more to be added. I promise large scale battles with massive fleets as the war (missions pick up) this is just a mission that starts in the midst of the early days of the war.
They really need to add a scenario/campaign mode to the game. Even if it's only singleplayer at first, it would add a great deal of depth to the game, in a different way than mods do. Hopefully it wouldn't be too much work to be practical. Still, I think it might fit well with the 3rd expansion, which from what i've heard is focused on adding more content rather than improving any specific aspect of the game (defense, diplomacy, etc).
I'll write the background story LOL!!
But this looks ultimately insane..more mission, more killing, more tactics, more danger, more awesomness,etc.. Bring it on!

As you say, I am busy (well a lot less than 2 days ago when I had less than 24 hours to finish a 5 page essay) Not hard in itself, but I'm the master in procrastination so.... LOL (school wise that is)! GAMING ALWAYS COMES NO.1!!
Now that I got most stuff out of my way (still have 2 exams monday and wednesday next week) but WTH... I'm back into gaming! Sniff..can't believe I haven't touched sins in almost 2 to 3 weeks! Feels like a whole new game again
So I started by testing your scenario vs hard AI...and guess what..with 127 planets (well mostly asteroids) I got ridiculiously destroyed!! Thats right laugh all you want..I can take the hits (ask Kiedjor the amount of times he OWNED me) .
As for mission, I can WRITE them, as in background story, forces involved, general layout of battlefield,etc (14 years of D&D roleplaying (and still rolling) does have a wonderful effect on creativity and imagination, just have to adapt it to a more 'modern' era!!) but I HAVE NEVER TOUCHED GALAXY FORGE so dont plan on me to actually make the map (unless you ask REAL nicely )
So...just PM me if ever you want help or anything! I usually check this site whenever I get a moment so I'm sure to answer you as fast as possible (or anyone else who would want my help)!

Shadow M.. By all means man let me know. I'll gladly build the missions in Galaxy Forge for you, in fact I am testing my photoshop abilities on the space/starfield backgrounds to make more environments.
If you want to add missions to mine then I'd love to. What I will do is send you on the basic, and I mean, basic premise I have for these set of missions which as a mod I am now calling SoaSE: The Front Line.

I'll see what I can divine out of my mind! I'll probably make a campaign about one fo the two factions youre not using (and since you're using TEC apparently), so I'll try to make a story worthy of Advent (I'll have to read their background story to straighten out my texts in the ideology!)

I finished a whole mission and I think that it's too easy. If you have enough cash (which is obvious if you consider TEC vs Vasari) the pirate attacks can effectively negate Vasari any ofensive ability (few puny frigates from time to time).
Another problem is that Vasari, exept their home asteroid, don't have any major asteroids (logistic and population capable) in ther half of the system so they are additionaly weakened.
