Ok maybe this is not in the right forum but I am tired of jumping back and forth with in pages that all have the same info.
I just bought the full package for all of stardock the Impulse package and I also bought a windowblinds skin for it.
When I try to apply the skin it changes my colors on my desktop (great look) but the background and all that do not change.
How do i get this to work or did I just waste even more money on things that dont work?
Okay, first a few questions. What did you get, Object Desktop?
What is the name of the WindowBlinds you are trying to apply?
WindowBlinds will not change your desktop icons and will only change the wallpaper if one is included.
If you haven't checked out the WinCustmize Wiki here is a link. http://wiki.wincustomize.com/wiki/Main_Page
The Wiki should answer a lot of your questions. Once you read through it come on back here and the community will be happy to help you.
Oh and welcome to the community.
neer mind.. i figured it out...
(thought the whole skin was in the original download. looks like i have to download each piece seperate.)
Good to see you got it figured out Bran. Just remember though you can always come to the forums iwith questions and we will try our best to help.
If you have major problems then you should send an email to support@stardock.com
lets try this the right way.
hi and thanks for the welcome. (just got a bit frustrated with setting the changes)
I bought the Skin called Wraith (awesome skin)
I bought the app called Impulse (full package) the 69.99$ one.. came with window blinds and all the other good stuff.
I installed windowblinds and tried to apply the skin but it only changed the colors and that was it. I went back to wincustomize and did some searching, found the links to download the background and other things that i might want. maybe i am doing something wrong.. or not doing something all together... not sure.
I also bought (double bought) object dock, (came with impulse and (bought it seperate (but, my bad for not looking.))
anyway... thanks for the info and the welcome.
Actually that is called Object Desktop Ultimate. Impulse is a digital download manager. Object Dock isn't part of Obect Desktop. So if you paid for Object Dock it would be the Plus version, another good program.
Don't warry it takes a little time to get use to everything.
Welcome to WinCustomize,Bran, and have fun with your new software.May you enjoy ObjectDesktop as much as I do.Learning what each app does and how to use them is half the fun.
I can't imagine my PC without ODNT now.
May I also suggest taking a look through the WinCustomize Wiki.
