I decided to make a general news thread for EWoM on the official forums for it since I notice a lot of posts here that are not showing up on the Sins or DG sides of the house. It has also been posted about on dozens of gamer forums that I know of and on some none game blogs to boot! It seems the word is out and the title is gaining lots of momentum within the gaming community and beyond.

What did you expect, no one to notice one of the best developers / publishers ever making a major announcement?
Well I did not expect it to be on over 100 different domains within 24 hours of the early announcement.
The wait has been long, and still is. Excited I am, and many more with me!
I would like to see SD set up an RSS news feed that would auto update the Element section on partner sites if possible. That would really rock and save time for newshounds like me.
MoM was a very beloved game and has a lot of fans.
Stardock is becomming known to more and more gamers and unlike other publishers has thier respect.
With a little bit of effort EWoM can generate a LOT of publicity for SD.

It's not comprehensive but it does a pretty good job. If you don't care about *other* Stardock news you can add "+elemental" to the string to narrow it down.
@Zubaz - Good stuff. Believe it or not, I manually find all those links. I read dozens and dozens of news sites and journals every day as part of the prep for my job. The feeds are a thing to be sure however.
On a side note you should the following domain to your distro list if you dont already have it. I find that gamepress is a great source of information on the industry.

Although to be fair, Zubaz, you SD employees can increment Karma by quite a bit. Us non-SD folk can only increase it for others by +1
I don't think that's accurate -- I don't thikn any of my 4 Karma givers were SD people, and I have 12 -- 3 each.

Wincustomize has ranks of users. The higher your rank, the more karma you can give. I am a level 7 user (a Wizop) so I can give up to 7 a pop. I rarely do, but I can. And because some posts cross-pollinate . . there you go.

No doubt. I have several years experience doing it as well as being an admin. I have build a couple forum communities over the years from nothing. I even had two of them get to over 20k members. My current one is pushing 5k now - it was at 7k a couple years ago but sadly, I simply don’t have the time to work on projects anymore like I used to so the activity dropped off but I'm still supporting it as much as possible on the money side at least. Oddly enough I'm more active on SD forums then it.

Moderation should be taken in...moderation
The only advantage I really see to ranking is that it allows users to easily tell how long someone has been around a forum and their experience with the topic (even if they consistently make strange statements). It could lead to trolling and pointless posting, but maybe a side benefit would be to give out more karma to others.
I find it strange I can't see my own post count stats.
The rankings over there are also related more to the skinning ability. There isn't as much an equivalent on the other forums I don't think.
