I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we won't be able to get the update for EU users up today, and it won't be available until late Monday at the earliest, but hopefully no later than Tuesday.
We've been working on it since the regular 2.0 update went up, but we've been having some technical difficulties. I'm sorry for the delay, and we will do our best to get it into your hands as soon as possible.

Yeah plz!!! I can't wait to have endless universe updated to version 2.0. So if u can plz fix it as soon as possible, that would be great!
I hope it will be available soon and fix the bugs with minor races, English texts instead of German texts and random crash-downs in the German version
Yes, hopefully you fix the mixed language problem in the German version, too. That's a little bit annoying. Great game and i'm waiting for 2.0 of Endless Universe!
Yes, the crashes with the minor races are fixed, but the text that is still in English is because not all of the values were translated, so it's up to Kalypso to fix those. They asked for updated text for 2.0 but I don't know if they've finished them yet.
Okay, I can wait for the translated texts a bit longer but the minor race fix would be very appreciated.
Dumb question maybe, but as I was forced to buy the localized (german)
version but usually prefer the original version (PC-games, books, DVD..)
will it also be possible to to install the original (english) version via Impulse
as with "Sins of a solar empire" when it is finally up?
I am a native German but due to work my english is fairly well and a
localized version normally feels very ..odd due to habit and preference.
Due to various problems (Patches, Mods..) I also avoid them like hell.
BTW, any time estimation when GC2EU 2.0 will be up ?
fdlu I´m a GCEU Player too. If you look on the Post from CariELF, you will see that not all things in Endless Universe are translated into German. So I-Mod and Kalypso are working for the last translations for the 2.0 Version for Endless Universe.
well, we are CERTAIN we have translated everything, there is another fault, but this is out of our hands. Kalypso has modified our versions.
We finished the 2.0 translation one week ago. The minorrace crash was something we were able to fix through our modder experiences, it was something really tricky to care when translating internal names and display names in raceconfig.
we have some theories about why some texts are in english, but this is also out of our hands, we just carefuly translated the strings and texts and we don't see a mistake of ourselves.

I tried again just now, but still no GC2:EU on Impulse. Has there been any more info on when they expect it to be finished?
It is still being worked on. The issues with getting it on there have been more difficult than we anticipated.

If you go into the registry and change the language string to be English, then you would be able to see all the English files. It's under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software\Stardock\Drengin.net\GC2EU

I also run GalCiv2 (Ver. 1.5x) on my old PC and it says also that there are no updates.
fdlu - latest (and afaik final) vanilla gc2 version is 1.53.136
and no, it's still impossible to register eu in impulse so no 2.0 yet:(

Hm... since we cant register "EU" on Impulse and its not shown under "my games" there... are we "EU"-Users going to get 2.0 at all? I sincecerely hope that there will be a solution sometime this year at least... *fingers-crossed*
It should have been up one week ago, and still isn't available. I hope it will be online soon. The new content isn't that much important for me but I really want that language and crash fix (German version), because we guys from Germany can't hardly play "Twilight of the Anor" without that patch.

just to mention some Details on Consumer Savety, and Warranty! There is no where written, that i can't register, nor that i will be unable to update...!
SO how long will i have to wait? Because i have a 14 day warranty to return this game without mentioning any reason!

Start a new thread and post your debug.err located in the appropriate folder in your \My Documents\My Games\ directory.
My guess offhand is it's a resolution problem, so try editing your prefs.ini in the same folder (there's one for DA and one for TA). There should be one present at initial install, but of this I am not certain.
In any case, more information would be helpful, which the debug.err will provide.
This is of course assuming this is not a CTD upon new game load (which is entirely different from the game itself loading), in which case, turn off your minor races temporarily; this is a known bug that has been fixed but was not fixed in time for EU, apparently. You'll have it fixed in 2.0, though.
You will be able to register EU and update it to 2.0, eventually. This was already supposed to have been fixed, but they ran into some problems (no, I don't know what), and it is still in limbo.
I see no reason at present why it cannot be resolved within the next 14 days, but I don't work for SD, so I'm sorry that I cannot offer official assurance.
