Kryo/Cari. Really? Do i now have to cheat in the Mv to compete? It's one thing for this guy to have cheated and been caught. But now he is basically throwing it in our faces. He has cheated the system and got away with it, so it seems, now he is moving on with all his fake characters and scores.
The fact he refuses to delete his scores and now brag about his progress is not the behaviour of someone who accidently found a loophole and is remorseful about it.
This is the behaviour of someone who deliberately walked the line and has got away with it, and now is proud of it.
I understand you guys must be busy with 2.0 but the exploitation of the MV in this way is to the detrement of Stardock and the community as a whole.
The Kzinti Empire and the Tyranny of Evil do not want to see the Metaverse exploited in such a fashion after all the hard work many, many, of their respective members have done to help build the MV community to what it is today. The 500 or so SD customers and community members represented by those two empires make up some of the most active and respected community members to have graced these boards.
As a collective voice we ask that action be taken against Harborne and the GSC to rectify the errors in the MV empire ranking and for order to be restored. Alowing Harbornes behaviour to continue in this manner only encourages him and others to cheat the MV as they see no consequences for the illegal actions.
Or, does SD not care about the MV anymore? If so please do us the respect of letting us know your position on the Metaverse so that we know where we stand.

Get that through your head will you. The cheating was still going on as of only yesterday. You have no argument. Your points are based on harbornes word which was proven to be about as good as tits on a bull.
This comment proves that you have no idea how metaverse scoring works and that you should not be commenting on a topic that you clearly have little knowlegde over. Furthermore i do not distrust or dislike Harborne due to role playing or competition.
I distrust Harborne because he cheated. He had an illegal advantage over the rest of the MV and bragged about it showing no remorse for his actions. Imagine if the ToE exploited the MV in the same manner. the ToE would be on 100 million points in the MV by now.
I bet you would be singing a different tune then wouldnt you.
Now to why i dislike Harborne. If you can't figure that out....well you are even more obtuse than i already think you are.

Kryo/Cari. When time permitts is it at all possible to confirm that there are no other illegal characters with the ranks of the GSC. From what i can tell Harborne has finally done the right thing and removed all the ill gotten characters, but we would be remise in not checking that all have been found.

Neilo, I think you are being too heavy-handed with Seeker. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if it may seem completely irrational to you. Banning him from your threads seems like a greatly disproportionate reaction. If you dont desire any interaction, then simply ignore. Think about how long your "blacklist" could potentially become if you start banning people for stating their opinion.

I do agree that everyone is entitled to an opinion, but Seekers is based on his assumptions of me, my intentions and actions, which i am uniquely qualified to discount and therfore render his opinion mute.

Well, i had never looked to see if Seeker plays on the MV. Since you don't participate in the MV Seeker i don't see why your weighing into the issue.
It would be like me going over to I-mod and telling those guys my thoughts on how they should create a mod.

no Seth, neilo was making a rhetorical point. if you read what he was saying closely, it amounts to: "if opine on something you're not a part of, the people who are might likely tell you to frak off. don't you agree?" the "you" is seeker or people in general.
You're free to argue that his statement is poorly based, but he has a point that there's no harm in being calm and moderate about the issue. No need to bite his head off.
Your right of course Kryo, which is what peed me off, i thought that i had been calm and moderate. I have not flamed or personally attacked Harborne in any way. I have not belittled him for his actions, only brought them out into the open. I continued the quest for the wrongs to be righted (is that a word even...) and i am being attacked and/or my motives and intentions being called into question, by those that have little to no knowledge of the issue's at hand no less.
That pissed me off and id rather just not have to converse with....well, the kids anymore.

kryo, I must ask you to ban me from the metaverse. I have given up of rational debate and have come to confess a truth myself which i expect to be equally punished for. I also have multiple accounts on the metaverse. If you check the serial I am registered under (I think) at least 5 other accounts (1 hyjacked by someone called stoneman or something). none have scores on them so you won't have to worry about that. I assure you that i had no ill use for them againest SD. The reason I can't get upgrades is because I wasn't smart and used my Serial more than once which made it invalid. I was having a hard time with one of my accounts and i made a new one at one point (receiving a bit of hate mail). the others are the same or I have forgotten my login information. By the time I relised it was an offence it was too late. All I can say is sorry. but I do accept that what I did was also wrong and I know how it feels to be concived when you didn't know what the rules were. That is the reason I sided with Harborne (Not because he is a friends, but because I understand his position and I judge by what I see).
Neilo, I'm sorry. Guess it just proves to the world we Australians take strongly to our points of veiws (aka, Debating). if you must know though Harborne had nothing to do with what i said, he was totally native to it. I take full responibility for everything.
Its interesting to come back to the forum and see developements still occur.

Seeker, if you haven't posted games under the duplicate accounts, I don't see where that would have any bearing on Metaverse integrity. In fact I personally don't see where it does any meaningful harm other than to have invalidated your activation code, which only hurts you. I'd doubt anyone would hold that against you. It's quite a different situation than Harborne's.
Kryo if you read this, I NEED HELP. I am trying to post games and it says the server does not match my serial number. If you have an idea how to fix this it would be much appreciated.

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling GC2?
If you've done any install/uninstall stuff lately the serial in your registry might have gotten changed--contact support@stardock.com about this, they should be able to help.

You could uninstall everything including SDC and remove the serial numbers from your registry. The registry for Dark Avatar is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\ComponentManager\Drengin.net\DarkAvatar The registry for Dread Lords is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\ComponentManager\Drengin.net\gc2
(I don't have my computer with TA handy, so I don't know where the registry entry is for that one. I'd guess it's in the Stardock key though.)
If the only thing you have from Stardock is GalCiv2, you can just delete the entire registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock
Then install a new copy of Galciv2 from the CD, but don't enter the serial numbers. The Galciv2 installation should also install Stardock Central. If not, install a fresh SDC. Log onto SDC using your registered email address. After the SDC update, look up your games and tell SDC to update everything. It'll take forever, but the serial numbers should then match what Stardock has in their database.
I'm not sure if it works with Impulse, but SDC is still online.

Seems to be working after redownloading Stardock. Thanks. But unfortunately it is not accepting my MVL game which was a not bad game.
