Well what do you think? I'm happy Crytek is moving slightly away from EA. Really I think they should have done this last year, might have got them higher numbers in games sold. Does Stardock have any deals coming up with Crytek (I know you guys can't tell me ). Well I think I am still going to get the retail version (whenever I get a new computer[Should be soon]Even though I hate EA. ) because I still like a disc around when I own a game. I do love Stardock's style of letting you play with or without Impulse and no disc required in the drive. I wish Steam would be so kind as well and for EA to just stop being stupid.
Well voice your opinion:)
Steam did an awesome move when they got this from Crytek.
I hope Stardock makes it as well! they need to announce it in the next days if they're on it, so i'll wait and get it from them.
I don't think EA will distribute Crysis: WH over Impulse -- namely b/c Stardock has NO DRM for any of the games sold through Impulse.
EA put Crysis: WH over Steam, still w/ its Securom-limitions imposed over Steam...
So, as long as those limitations are still imposed on Crysis: Warhead over Steam, until it gets to be very cheap, I ain't buying it through Steam.
It doesn't have much to do with EA at all. Crytek uses the EA Partners program to semi-self-publish, same as Valve and ID do. As such, they can put their games anywhere they want.
