We're hoping to release BETA 2 for version 1.1 of Sins shortly (possibly today). Here's the latest changes for the next update:
Note 1: It's named v1.095 instead of 1.1 beta 2 because the Games for Windows version tools won't let us use letters. This was a common question and I agree it's confusing. I would change it if I could -Blair
Note 2: Back up your achievements file until the next beta, we needed to make some changes to the versionning control for improved ICO behavior and we missed the achievements version handler.

-Strike craft will now either dock or stay docked if they aren't supposed to be launched.-Fix for exploit that allowed players to build too many squads.-Captured neutral extractors can no longer be scuttled.-Fixed bug where artifacts are always discovered as soon as planets are colonized.-Fix a crash which may occur in multiplayer when creating fleets.-Targetted channeling abilities that should stop when their target's ownership becomes friendly, neutral, or hostile relative to the channeler's will now stop if it is appropriate to do so.-Experience gained for destroying strikecraft reduced by ~33%.-Strike craft take ~10% longer to build.-Cruiser carrier strikecraft antimatter build cost increased by 20%.-Anti strike craft frigate DPS reduced by ~25% (relative to v1.05).-Anti strike craft frigate range increased from 3000 to 3250.

Will this render previously saved games unusable?
Strikecraft changes look promising. As do the Flak frigate changes. 25 % releative to 1.05 seems much more of a balance than 40%. Thos flaks were just useless at 40%. Thanks for the changes and updates guys;) Look foward to downloading and giving it some play time!

Still no Reference Data or modding support. Geez StarClad, at least release the BETA reference data and allow modding for these BETA releases. That way people won't be so pissed off with them, and some people might actually play them since a lot of people (I don't) haven't installed them since you can't use mods.
If you had read a little more carefully, you would've noticed:
Which means you can convert them to text if you really want to mod the beta.
The point of betas is to test the stock patch code, not to mod it

Well, Impulse is telling me there is an update available for Sins. And I was on the Beta already.
It's out! Shows up as v1.09a in Impulse.
This should make a number of people happy.
Possibly, we have conflicting desires on what constitutes the optimal team starting positions and also depends on what format you are playing. Hopefully we picked good ones
so when will this come out

A minute six. Careful you don't make a habit of fixing bugs that fast, or people may come to expect things of you.

if they were so important, you could always modify the achievements file to say you got them all.

With all the more significant fixes and changes, I know focusing on this one is silly, but it still makes me ever so happy. Now if only my replacement motherboard would ever arrive, I might actually be able to play on my computer again. *sigh*
Modding support is very appreciated. Also, while I still don't think 2000 sounds is enough, it is a VERY good start. I have 11 races so far, with more coming. Anyways, thank you Ironclad for making this happen. Now I just need to convert all those files, and update Sins on my NON modding computer. I can see it now, 7 DEADLY SINS will be that much better now with these hardcodes removed........
