Man SoaSE is a great game that you can keep playing over and over again. So does anyone think that Stardock should make a sequel? Well that would be cool! Imagine a whole bunch of fetures to discover, a better graphics engine (not that its bad). So should Stardock make SoaSE 2?
Lets have a Sins 2!
Ok there is some info about the game in ironclad's job listings:
Senior Animator - We are seeking a creative, self-motivated professional animator. A minimum of 3 years industry experience is required. You must be able to create highly realistic character and creature animations. We are looking for an outstanding demo reel that demonstrates a solid understanding of human anatomy and locomotion. We will not be reviewing cartoon-styled animations at this time. Experience animating, rigging, and weighting in Softimage XSI is required. Strong drawing skills are essential. The ability to create custom scripts for animation and staying on the leading edge of new techniques will definitely give you an edge. Level/Map Designer - We are seeking a highly motivated map designer & level builder. You will responsible for building realistic 3D levels using a world editor and existing textures, decals, props, meshes, and particle effects. An understanding of land formations and real world environments, but your primary strength should lay in the ability to create worlds that will encourage exciting gameplay and immersiveness. You will be required to efficiently block-out geometry based on photo reference, concept art, and design documents.

So, it's a realistic-looking land-based game with animated humans and creatures; the "levels" should be "immersive". Hmm... it's not even clear if it's a strategy game, at this point it could just as well be a third-person console RPG.
It's not going to be an RTS. DirtySanchezz is right. One of the Frasers did an interview with PC Gamer a while ago. It's going to be an RTS, and it won't be in space. Much of IC came from working on Homeworld: Cataclysm, then did Sins, and are a little worn out on space. Sins 2 will almost assuredly come at some point, but not for a while.
If you're looking for a Sins 2 check out Star Ruler by Blind Mind Studios. Duh!!
Star Ruler looks interesting. Will keep up with it. But at the moment the 21st is the day of interest and my heart belongs to Daddy!
Albeit if Daddy's Demo doesn't like my computer or I don't like the Demo my fickle heart may go quickly to this hot gal, Vicky 2! Big patch out in September 1.2 supposed to cure her of drunkenness and erratic flirtations with psychosis.
