The only way to get update patch 1.1+ , u must register that requires original CD key. Of course u cant play online without latest update. It's clear that Stardock uses this method to filter hijacked SoSE user. Single player is too boring, that's why Stardock didnt make any storyline campaign at single player. Multiplayer is optimized.

no i dont play under S_o_L   since i've got enough experience in a forum community mixed with the gaming community in the forum i take time to write , during games i jsut ignore everyone that's not using common sense and play my game, and in turn owning cuase oponenet is shoutng for attention to much

anyways i've also played some DT folks   most of them flaming me afterwards for cheating,  even tough one of them was my ally he totaly agreed on me cheating. or the fact that when i log in, 50% of the time a dt guy "or gorup" is in the lobby theyre discussing either how to get wrid of new guys, new flaming tactics or already flaming some new guy who, looking at the extreme languige being used owned them.

makes me wonder,  you must be pretty noob to get owned by a newby, then call him noob afterwards  or plainly insult new people for not playing singleplayer first "even tough that statement is completly baseless   so i dont know about you, but IMHO i liek it to see new faces in the lobby, and instead of flaming, i greet them, instead of the flaming i see from DT members

I can't speak for other DT members but as the unofficial cheerleader for Sins online multiplayer I'm always happy to see and to welcome new people online.  I like to chat with new players and to take the time to explain things to them and to answer their questions and to offer advice.

You really don't have any idea who Siddy is, do you?  He may not be the #1 Sins player in the world but he's definitely in the top 10 if not top 5.

At this point your post is starting to become laughable.  You're taking that entire thread too seriously and blowing a gasket over it.  It should be pretty clear to most people that that thread is for amusement purposes.  (It's not like it's going to be used to issue monetary values to players for the purpose of drafting competitive teams while having to adhere to a salary cap.)

I'm not really against an in-game player matching system that would make it easier for players to play against players of similar skill (though it wouldn't work since Sins doesn't have high enough player counts).

I have no idea what led you to think that.  The proposed Internet Relay Chat (IRC) pug match channel would be open to any Sins player who knew where to find it regardless of skill.  Now, if two hundred people frequent the channel regularly and if it gets to the point where numerous matches are organized each hour then other pug channels could spin off of it for various groups of people, one of which  might be "top players only", but so what?

I don't understand what you're complaining about.  Before we started I made the disclaimer that it might be a 2-v-1 or 1.5 v 1 since the guy on my team had never played online before even though (according to him) he was really good at single player.  I think he quickly and painfully discovered that there's a huge difference between the single player game and the online game.  Yeah, I blame him for the loss.  I personally hadn't been defeated.  That seems pretty reasonable.  Why are you making a big deal out of this?

If you've never been a member of a PUG match community nor ever used IRC (Internet Relay Chat) before then you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.  Playing 5-v-5 PUG matches dramatically improved my Unreal Tournament capture-the-flag experience.  Those games are competitive and intense and played with voice comm amongst and against friends, and you can't find anything like that on the public servers.

Sins isn't a cybersport like a first person shooter, but I don't see any reason why Sins players wouldn't benefit from having an active PUG match community.  An active IRC-based PUG match community would offer people an IRC chat channel where they could get to know one another better, make friends, use voice comm, and organize games with balanced teams on competition-grade custom maps.

I don't think we really got a chance to engage one another since I quit and ended the game when it became clear that it was going to be a 2-on-1 and after my useless ally had quit, but at some point I concluded that you were pretty good, perhaps based on your player record.

As for my clanmate; I don't always agree with all of my clanmates' behavior all of the time.  Occasionally one or two of them can get a little pompous, but it's all in good fun.  A little trash talking adds some color to the game.

A stat showing that someone has won 80% of the games they've played when they've played many games is meaningful though they should always be taken with a grain of salt.  As for the ratings in the other thread--they are not based on stats but rather on players' direct experience with having played with and agaisnt the people being rated.  (You really didn't figure that out?)
