personaly i think VISTA is useless reason's
15 GB installation => my motto Bug's equals Data, why in crist is vista 15 gb big?
Resource's hungry => expect like a bad memory leak in the complete system, memory leaks also makes programs bigger and bigger like vista do
it monitor shit you never heared of ? let me put on example it scan your Audio port for posable system hacks, =>if you ask me they watch to much James bond movie's
you think you control your computer, guess again you don't => on back ground it sends in infomation to microsoft this is nothing new with vista XP already doing this crap
DX10, ah whats that all games are writen on DX9 they are all made compatable on DX9 sinds thats where the money are made
Only thing Microsoft keeps in power is their DX software, god i hope EU gonna do something about this monopoly shit time Linux gets their share on market, they earn it 1000x times more then microsoft they are the REAL pirates
if i by a PDA or Phone it's only compatable with microsoft products, sounds like monopoly to me to. I am foced to use Microsoft, shit
i keep quite now before my blood pressure start to hit 150
Vista is awesome. You just don't realize it.
can you backup your statement with facts other then a personal experience
Probably not that you'd accept.
Mostly, I like that it can diagnose some of the problems on it's own. (That's saved me some time when my internet doesn't work as expected.) Also, it's far more stable than XP SP2 ever was. (I upgraded before SP3 came out.) And I like the Aero graphics and sidebar.
Aero graphics just a nice looking thing, but when i play a game i not looking to fancy icons nor i wanna spend resources especaily memory to it
Sidebar the cloak on the right side. if i wanna know the time i check my G15 keyboard or look at the cloak behind me.
just eye candy but nothing that inproves the Operation System, kind of weird world we life in.
we are expecting to make computers faster and faster, compoments smaller and smaller, expecting CPU to calculate 2,400,000,000,000 switchs a second while we not expecting software to get smart engineered
How can you get more stable than never crashes. That's my XP SP2 and SP3 experience. The only crashes I have are with semi-badly coded programs and they rarely take the OS with it.
Also being a gamer I'd have to take some of my older games designed for Windows 3.1 and 95 to a Vista machine and try to run them before even considering buying it(All run fine on XP).
Then again, if it's free....
I'd forgive about 30% of my subjective Sins of Vista if they'd just give me back a Start menu that was easy to use with my keyboard. Well, that, and the good old Find dialog box. Search Ass-isstant was bad enough, but the new interface is some surreal pseudo-Soviet "we know what you need better than you do" thing meets Mac-pretty-wannabe garbage.
Not that I have strong opinions or anything...
