weather widgets

Hello out there, for a while I have been having problems with the weather widgets from different authors, hardly any will take my location, is there any way to change a setting so I can use my location in the weather widget.

I live in Scotland and I am using WindowsXP,SP3.

Thanks any help would be appreciated

also try "town,Scotland". many just put the town without telling it what country to look in.

we figured out the secret last evening.
you have to fully type out the location ie: London,United Kingdom
can't put uk and can't put england.

Sorry wulfn, I did do that and it still woudn't find the location, but that weather search widget that Bilbo directed me to works a charm  Once again what a fast forum, if only I could get my dad to use it , he is new to puters and to make it worse I have him hooked on Object Desktop  I think I have been on the phone more than in bed, but he is definitly worth it

Yeah...that's because most of us come from many places other than the west...so there's always someone to help, regardless of the time...24/7

Glad you solved your problem using bilbo's weather search...but the above is also correct.
All widgets will work if you type out the full location. Abbreviations no longer work.
Wellington NZ must be Wellington,New Zealand ( no extra spaces between )
London, UK must be London,United Kingdom
If the widget wouldnt accept the location...shut the widget then reopen and try again.
If it still wont work...go delete the widget cache.
