This mod adds custom races to the game based on races from the various Stargate television series. At present it includes the Ancients, Wraith, Asgard, Goa'uld and the Ori.
Ancients:
A race that uses larger, more powerful ships to compose the basis of their fleet. You will have a fraction of the number of ships in your fleet but many of them are more comparable in power to a capital ship for other races than to a frigate. Ancient capital ships are immensely powerful and include the fabled Atlantis city ship. They are also able to build Space Gates that allow near instant travel between planets, allowing them to easily shift their fleet resources as needed.
Wraith:
A race whose ships do not have shields but who compensate with increased hull points, armor and regeneration rates. They have a wide selection of cruisers of varying power but only one type of capital ship, Hives, which are the heart of their fleet.
Asgard:
A race whose ships focus on shields and mobility. Asgard vessels and structures have low hull point scores but all have shield points. While they may not have dramatically more shield points than other races, their shields are superior in mitigation factors and mitigation build-up, with multiple research entries for improvements. The Asgard fleet employs no strikecraft but makes up for the lack thereof with superior anti-fighter weaponry on various ships and structures and a notable advantage in mobility. Sublight and hyperspace engines are highly advanced and provide superior mobility in both local gravity wells as well as interplanetary & interstellar travel and the Asgard empire tree provides numerours upgrades which provide further mobility advantages.
Goa'uld
A parasitic race who pose as gods to their subjects. A powerful economy and formiddable diplomatic and cultural tools combine to make them a force to be reckoned with. They may only have a handful of frigates and cruisers but most serve several functions. Powerful capital ships anchor their fleet and complete their tools for conquest.
Ori
An offshoot of the Ancient race founded on fanatical belief in ascended beings who call themselves the Ori. Governed by the Priors, living beings empowered by the Ori to impose their will, the followers of Origin are empowered by the the vast knowledge of the universe that their ascended overlords possess. The Ori fleet is composed of a full compliment of ships varying in size but all very powerful. Even the smallest frigates are protected by powerful shields and the massive capital ships are capable of engaging entire enemy fleets by themselves as they spread Origin across the universe or destroy all those who refuse to submit to the will of the Ori.

All are Manifest friendly. Verified to work with Volumetric Explosions and Bailknights for Entrenchment. Priority order, top to bottom: 1) SG-Races, 2) PlanetSize, 3) FleetSize, 4) Volumetric, 5) Bailknight's.
If you are using SGGalaxy then you may stack it with the FleetSize mod as follows: 1) SGGalaxy, 2) FleetSize, 3) Volumetric, 4) Bailknight's.
**Note: It may be necessary to reduce game effect settings to "high" from "highest", especially when using Volumetric Explosions and Bailknight's graphic effects in conjunction with SGRaces or SGGalaxy. It may also be necessary to edit your user.setting file and increase the MaxParticleCount setting (default value is 6000).

Sorry guys. I will fix up the links when I get a chance. I've just been a bit pre-occupied lately and hadn't noticed or had a chance to deal with it. It's just a matter of re-sharing them and updating the thread with new links, no re-uploading or anything annoying required. ADrive has been pretty good so far, no worse than any of the other filehosts I tried or looked at. Unlike most, while it might unshare them, ADrive at least doesn't remove your files after a set amount of time which is quite nice.

By "ancient vanilla 1.15" he is refering to the last build of the mod that was for the original Sins before Entrenchment. Updates for regular/"vanilla" Sins stopped once Entrenchment came out so it's horribly out of date and isn't available for download from me anymore anyways.
You can edit user.settings by opening the file in notepad. You'll find the MaxParticleCount control variable in the file and you can change it if you like. The file is located in the 'Settings' folder which you'll find in the same general place as the 'Mods' folder where you install this mod.
Ok is it just me or everytime I download this mod standalone all the files and entities are there but the meshes haven't been replaced? Ori is just stock standard and another that really bugs me is the fact that the original sins races are included. Any chance you can fix this up? I know how to do so myself but it would be nice if these things were sorted out of the box.
Finally I know this post might have been a bit whingy but I do like your work. If these things were fixed this would be an awesome mod as while Invasion is total conversion to about 90% you've got just a bit more in terms of race and playability content
Hey man I loaded up your mod fine and all that, but the space ship textures were all missing, along with building textures.
I know I installed the mod right because the background has changed and the music has changed.
Please help as I would like to have a game of this soon.

This mod isn't ready yet so a lot of the textures are missing, most of the new ships are only models at the moment
I'm not sure what the problem is on your end but there are no missing textures in the mod. If the object has a custom model, it has some sort of custom texture associated with it. The texture may not be outstanding, but it will have one.

Iv made a model for the ga'old Osiris cap ship (since i dont like the Advent stand in), and have been using it in game.
Its got basic textures, gun/hanger points etc... My first 3dmodel, so its alittle basic. If you want to put it in your mod, pm where to send it.
Photos from the left rear, (can just see hanger bay). The other 2 ships are for size.
Made a Tel'tek frig. Fits in well. Might be better as a scout?

I had something a little different in mind for the Osiris but I might put it in play temporarily until I finally (ever) get around to building it. I am interested in the tel'tak model though. I wouldn't mind checking it out. Is it possible you can make the model (the .mesh & texture but also the xsi scene if possible) available for download somewhere so I can check them out? I'd like to download your mod in the Diplomacy version but Adrive is flipping me the bird by not letting me download at all. Is there somewhere else you've put the mod or am I just going to have to go without? Do I have to sign up with Adrive to download this? I'd imagine I'd have to pay Adrive a fee for their services if I did.
Nothing against you, Dolynick, I'm sure it's probably out of your hands what Adrive do with their stuff or their policies regarding their stuff. Just disappointed that the Diplomacy links are likely as good as dead without signing up with Adrive (or perhaps even with my signing up with them for that matter...)
ADrive links are only good for 30 days then who ever uploaded needs to renew the link. You just have wait.

While I was at it, I also uploaded the latest version of the mod for Diplomacy. I would have liked to have gotten more new stuff into it but I haven't been making much progress on the mod lately so I figured I would release what I have now since I had to fix the links anyways.

dondurito, did you assign team colors to the cl file? if so ... how? Im using Gimp and cant get it to work the way i want (accursed alpha layer).
The Osiris i made was a "can i actually make something" model and is low enough poly to be a fighter, the textures are a bit off aswell, if i can fix it up ill post it. Assuming dolynick doesn't mind me posting B-grade models on his SGR forum...?
