Welcome all! The Galactic Senate will be our new meeting room to decide on metaverse matters! This means that this is it's sole function...for now. This may change. This is not a slander thread like the Galactic Council one. There is no tolerance for profanity and swearing. The leader of the senate will be voted upon once every 3 weeks! When the leader's term is up, he may be elected as many times as the voters want...unlimited! You may vote for yourself! If the leader of the Senate does something inappropriate on this thread, then he will be immediately ousted and his throat will be slit with a razor. Then we'll rip his heart out and "The Legions of Darkness" (The Raiders special forces) will feast on it! To be elected, one must have at least 12 the most votes! You may only vote for 1 person each ELECTION! All issues must be brought to attention by either a senator or overlord of an empire! A citizen may bring up an issue, but it will not be voted on until a senator or overlord formally proposes it. To be considered a senator or overlord, you must have at least one other person in your empire besides yourself and you must have senator status!That's all there is to say....now let's get started!AMENDMENTS:1. Anyone who is a senator in more than 1 empire counts as 2 votes but NOT 2 people! If you wish to be counted as a "Super" Senator, you must send me a PM telling me which empires you're a senator in.2. If it were only that simple. Having been properly bribed, I have already cast my vote. Once accepted, a bribe is written in stone.

why does everyone use doomrays? what about blackhole warheads or blackhole guns (even though they are rather expensive).
... anyways lets move onto some issues. Like the first time this post was started we need issues to discuss so empires of the galaxy... come up with issues to so we can squabble.
Oh wait, there is an issue. Roamers have been going round about an organisation who are tryiong to convert cat kind to their whim. they use the same line over and over and it seems to be working.Right now we need to win the public back. I have ruled out cat nip or a gaint yarn ball so that leaves us with either public execution or to promise everyone that there will only be sunday. I fear we may have to bring in the fish aswell.
Hmmm... I thought the current issue was who would be the next Senate leader?
If that got resolved already and I somehow missed it, please let me know.
Now, for the other issue...

That has got to be the oldest bargaining chip in the book.
I don't want Karma because someone offered it to me as a reward. I prefer to receive Karma from having an interesting thread or for giving someone advice.
Sure, I'd also take Karma from someone I voted for - but it has to be someone who didn't previously offer it to me. It should be someone that gave it to me as a honest "thank-you."
I have to admit, the Karma thing is old which is why I wanted to give that extra 2 votes bonus to evil players if I became leader.
Unfortunately, that bonus leaves "Good" aligned players in a bit of a hole. Unless the "Good" player gets some votes from "Evil" players, he's not going to win the election. I can't say that I approve of that Ammendment.
I wonder how DSep feels about this?
Actually I have been thinking about an alternative to that. I'll explain, if I win this election that is.

It's weird, two years ago, the MV was ruled by good empires such as the HcH and Galactic Diplomats, now it's reversed.
I'm a member of the ToE - that makes me exempt from being the object of your buffet... I hope.

Well, if we go back to the Senate rules, I see Seth winning the election with 1 vote to none. The only "legal" vote cast so far was my first one as "Llama_Man". Although my profiles as Solembum and Mottikhan are legal, paid for and full fledged Senators in other empires, I doubt that they'd really count.
mADDYman isn't a Senator's account and the two opponents, though they could cast votes, haven't.

Who are the candidates? Where's the debates? Where do you stand on galactic warming? These are things people want to know before voting.
