Welcome to 7 Deadly Sins 2.5 FINAL for the latest version of Sins Entrenchment 1.053.7DS can only be played at HIGH maximum settings. DO NOT USE VERY HIGH settings. This will cause a minidump. Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection. TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.
TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan. Ship research boosts weapon performance.
DARK FLEET- modified Vasari The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey. Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.
Imperial Armada- from Star Wars Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer. Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.
Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery. Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships
Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.
Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.
Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.
Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods) The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.
Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.
Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

I've been thinking (uh oh)...
I know the Star Wars and Star Trek mods are to be added, but what about Stargate?
personally, I think it would be rather interesting to see either a free-for all between all of those guys, or a classi good-guys vs. bad-guys kind of scenario with Federation ships going head to head with the Empire, Rebels fighting of the Wraith, and Asgard going up against the Klingons. Basically, it would probably be the biggest, nerdy Ultimate Showdown since that convention bulding I passed by that somehow ended up getting double booked with Star Wars and Star Trek (Funniest thing I've ever seen: Wookies fighting with Klingons, people getting beaten with plastic lightsabers...I stil get a chuckle just from thinking about it).
So, DANMAN, what are the odds of Stargate being included in this already excellent mod?

Hmmm...I can see where you're coming from with that, and I do agree that custom designs can be pretty awesome...
but something old and familiar can (almost) always be fun when it is met with new elements, you know what I mean?
I don't know about you guys, but whenever I'm playing single player, I always find myself coming up with some storyline for the battle; like my empire being nearly destroyed and overrun with an ancient enemy, thus they must overcome their losses and rise up once again to return to their former glory!....or some such story like that.
The same can be said if all of those classic sci-fi universes were put together, like each one having occured in a different galaxy and upon the moment in which the discovery of inter-galactic travel is made, they find themselves meeting head-to-head, forcing them to make new alliances, and enemies, in their quest to either conquer, or merely survive.
...sorry, i tend to get a little carried away
You can look forward to Samaz Ralan's work. He's made a few maps for 7DS with starting fleets and scenarios. I don't know if they'll be a part of 7ds, but he makes them downloadable if you look at the 7ds website.

I applaud your attempt to mesh so many mods together, however I have some complaints.
1. The pirate race seems to be a meer afterthought, as more than half their ships existing as upgrades, and only 2 cap ships.
2. what does exactly the the technology ship interface do?you give a verbally confusing flavor description, but not what effect it has on the game.
3. the technology tree for the pirates is in need of culling. there are too many things that have no efect.
When IS the trek mod being added? I want to pwn trekkies with the empire as soon as possible

I've been trying out the Star Trek mod and, at this moment, even if the Empire was balanced out...I'm fairly certain a Imperator class 2 could easily take out a Galaxy Class (TNG's enterprise is of this class....I think). One other thing I've noticed when comparing the recent Trek demo with the SW demo: even though SW only has the Empire, the empire has FAR more ships available to them than any ST race.
I feel very sorry for the Trekky who has the Federation face the awesome power of the Empire.
...actually, to be honest....I'd kinda chuckle at him, then feel sorry.
Anyhoo, I'm still wondering if the stargate mod will be included in 7DS 2.0. I'm seriously looking foreward to having a massive Battle Royale between these three sci-fi giants.
Heero_Miiyamoto: When new races/mods are added to 7DS they undergo blancing so that everything in the mod is ballanced. As far as the stargate mod goes, I not quite sure but asfar as i know the plan is there if we get permision from the creator
stargate isn't even close to being done, though a fleet of f-304's against a fleet of galaxy classes would be awsome lol

WOW! This thread has been busy, and I am VERY happy to see that! I hate when the posts go dead. Anyways, here is my mission, to wrap things up:
7 DEADLY SINS is a creation from my imagination, and from being a Sci-Fi fan and gamer since birth (pretty much!), I intend to the best of my ability to bring you the best mod possible, while combining all the loved Sci-Fi movies and games into one glorious universe of my own design. So, if you can think of a major Sci-Fi show, movie, or game, chances are that it will be included, as long as the original mod creator allows access if it is a mod currently in development and not already being done by me. As such, if Major Stress, the creator of the Star Trek mod allows a merge, then it shall be done for future versions of 7DS after 2.0 is finished. This is the same with any other mods, such as Stargate, BSG, Homeworld, Halo, etc.
This being said, while I know there is a "canon" issue with some gamers, and them wanting thier particular faction being as close to possible to the original, please bear in mind to keep things balanced and to have multiple Sci-Fi universes confronting each other, keeping things "canon" is not always possible. Also, since this is from my imagination and ambition, you might see things in 7DS that you may recognize from somewhere else, yet I may be using them differently to suit my needs and the needs of the mod. Just to keep everyone in the loop.
As far as the Rogue are concerned, they are a VERY complete race now, and not an afterthought. Trust mem in version 2.0, they will be a very formidable race indeed. Once the music hardcode is fixed, they will even have pirate music too!
Darkstar, it is good to hear from you. I may consider releasing a teaser pic or video of the one ship, but I may wait until I have 2 or 3 done.

wow, i just witnessed the most flashy thing i've ever seen.
Playing as TCA, the kol + 5 cobolts + 1 HC vs. few militia at Ice Planet = MAH EYES!!!
Soo many purple shots and SOOOOO MANY EXPLOSIONS!!!
So i decided to put the game on x8 speed (graphics were at max, all settings were at 'fast') so it got INTENSE!
A bit too many explosions I guess, because as soon as I reduced it back to x1 speed, the game mini-dumped.
but wow, if somebody was prone to photovoltaic seizures, they'd sure be having one looking at that.
Maybe DANMAN should copy the warning off of video game boxes:
