Welcome to 7 Deadly Sins 2.5 FINAL for the latest version of Sins Entrenchment 1.053.7DS can only be played at HIGH maximum settings. DO NOT USE VERY HIGH settings. This will cause a minidump. Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection. TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.
TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan. Ship research boosts weapon performance.
DARK FLEET- modified Vasari The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey. Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.
Imperial Armada- from Star Wars Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer. Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.
Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery. Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships
Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.
Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.
Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.
Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods) The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.
Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.
Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

and i just read through the whole manual, reading the history of what happend. was a great time "waster"
and the ship info sure did trigger my intrest in TCA/Taalo/Roques.(atlantians already had interest in )
just wondering about 1 thing:you got the empire from SW in the mod. is there any chance you could include the ships from the humans from Stargate also? i love the design/weapons on the Human(Tau'ri) ships and i think it would be a great addition.(the other races aren't needed from SG as they aren't epic enough )(if you do this, maybe add the Destiny also?(From stargate universe))

That really depends on the Stargate: Invasion mod team being willing to share their Tau'ri models with us. We don't have the manpower to do our own Tau'ri ships, so we would have to use theirs. 7DS is also extremely close to the 2GB limit Sins has, so that would also have to be taken into consideration regarding whether or not we add the Tau'ri in.
hmm, i didn't know sins had a 2 GB limit
and i would play Stargate: Invasion if the gameplay was actually cool, and not capital ships acting as fighters
killed their mod for me
well this mod could go the way of sins of the fallen and only load the races the player wishes to play
that may even add much more stability to the mod
FIX FOR MENU
I'm playing a version in development with 12 races... yeah, 1 more race. Every mod faces the 2 gb memory limit but I'm playing a 8 player map with Planets: High, Ships: High/High/Med, Buildings: High, High, Med. All but Bloom and Mesh Team Colors checked. Memory Usage: 1,169,144 K

A little over a gig of used memory? I suppose there's a chance we could cram the Tau'ri in. We would still need to obtain permission for the models from the SG:I mod team though. I doubt we would add the Destiny from SG:U though as it isn't a Tau'ri vessel. To be honest though, at this point we're in a beta stage and I would like to see a full stable release done before Rebellion is out, and adding, balancing, and debugging the Tau'ri would be a major impediment to that.
We got something better than anything in StarGate coming. They'll be an ongoing mesh/texture/sound project, but what's in place now has explanation.
I'd like startrek ships just so the empire could beat the snickers out of them. Lightsabers > Vulcans; but Vulcans with Lightsabers still wouldn't make ST = or > than SW.
Well, it is only at the start... with time, everything grow... more you and the AI build, more and more memory is used...
As for 2 gb limit, it is a OS limit... with a clean sins and 7DS on linux, it crash when it is over 3.5 gb ( custom wine using 30 mb ram)... with hardware virtual machine ( emulate a 10ghz single core/processor from my 2 processor with each 4 core at 2.66 ) and LAA sins version, it crash around 11.6 gb ram...
i got i7 quad core/8GB ram/2GB videocard.
so far only had 2 minidumps(1 because of save file being corrupted i think(and the other when i had team meshes/clored skyboxes checked)).
i play on everything highest with everything enabled but colored skyboxes/colored team meshes. almost no notable lag. however, that could be cuz the game goes slower and slower without me noticing (altho, looking at resource rate it isn't that much slower if it is at all)

and the destiny is kinda a human vessel if you look at it that humans are an offspring of the atlantians that fled to earth. and the humans are the only one using it

There is a reason they are using Taalo, Dark Fleet and Rogue, but we can't tell you. Why is "The Machine" mobile and attacking an Atlantian Starbase?
cuz the machine belongs to the roques are the enemies of the atlantians? and why it is mobile, means that the taalo did something to it i guess. since they are pretty much moving asteroids they probaly know how to make things move that aren't supposed to move. just my thought i came up with in a second. probaly wrong tho
but why dark fleet i wonder, so they can move quickly from 1 spot to the other. making an effective assault on the atlantians to try and erase them without them being able to set up traps in a phase lane between the last place assaulted and their home planet?
Normally, on windows OS, everything on very high crash due to a directx problem... i think that you need at least, planet on high...
As for 7DS, there is a lot of recent material who have not ( yet ) make it in the mod... for example, the Golan 4 starbase for the Empire... http://www.love-from-russia.be/g4_swarm-6.25_million_poly.avi ... well, final version will not be mobile, need to choice between mobility and the shipyard... and will have the usual limit : 1 starbase by gravity wheel and 4 around star... these station have over 200 weapons hardpoint, more that any other model ever made for sins... at the back of the front sphere, you have 4 door with 2 huge ion canon who can disable ( not destroy ) big fleet... the very huge canon ( size of a kol battleship ) forward the front sphere is the galaxy gun, able to bombard other planet in the same star system... well, soon, the Atlantian will not remain the only powerful race...
Point is that there is plenty of people working in the background, that there is plenty of thing ready to be implemented in 7DS... only problem is that we have very few people for implement everything who is created...
like i said, i got everything on highest and no minidumps etc. so far. and that starbase looks awesome
and tbh, i think everyone will go for mobility since shipyards are usually pretty useless(i never use them)
and the atlantians aren't that powerfull, a good roque player can easily kill an atlantian player i think. since it can just capture the atlantian ships
and ill be keeping a close eye on this thread to see when anything is implemented. wish i could help, but i can't

Pretty sure that anybody have some talent that we can use... when i wrote "we", i mean Danmangame, not 7DS... Danmangame was mainly created for host several mod and allow to share some asset ( people ) between mod... by example, SemazRalan is our local expert for galaxydef file...
In fact, in the case of sins, we have not really rival mod but more a friendly huge community... by example, everybody enjoy the Harpo tools, myfist XSI add-on, etc... let say that you are good at voice acting... any mod who add a original race will be able to use your service... are you a Russian who have recently immigrate to US and when you speak English, people ear your heavy Russian accent... perfect, the mod "Dawn of victory" have maybe a job for you ( they have a russian faction )...
im always in for playtesting don't mind bug reporting either(or reporting anything that isn't correct for that matter). atm doing game design first year in school. so got quite a bit of homework etc. but enough free time to ^^
and im dutch, and im not even an adult yet:P. voice acting for some random general etc. would be weird
and i am able to write a story for a mod, but it depends on the mod and what they want me to write. the way the manuel is wrote is great, with this happend in that year, that happend in this year etc. i love doing that did it myself once in secondary school, 8.8k words when i was done with the story about some imagined country's history for history class. As for the manual, i have not yet read it... long time ago, there was a 7DS wiki with stories for each races, details over everything but it have go down in the same time that the old site... have only a backup from a few page...

and if you're 2 years without government and still existing. than it kinda shows that countries don't need governments
and i don't even have any jobs to pay any bills(which i don't have luckily)
and yeah, i got alot of freetime, especially with my lack of structure/planning meaning homework gets pushed aside by everything kinda is becoming a problem...
but if 7DS needs a playtester just tell me. i'll bet i can put it in my empty schedule

playtesters help us find stuff we missed, which always helps.

Well, you should hop over to our forums and register there, and then apply for Playtester status. This will give you access to the playtesting areas, including the official bug report thread for Beta 5.
The forum is not only about 7DS... various other mod are hosted there... by example, the not yet released Halo mod can only be download by official playtester ( beta version )...
Be sure to know how to use the dev.exe ... mini-dump are no help for modders... but the huge txt log from the dev.exe can help us to find what go wrong...

Have try to give you the playtester status but spardason was faster... the playtester status is universal and you will be able to access the playtesting section from ALL mods hosted there...
You laptop is perfect but the desktop with only 2gb ram and win7 will create a lot of minidump... it think that the last 7DS take 1.3 gb for the start... mean that you have 0.7 gb for all the win7 system and other application... and once you begin play, the 1.3gb can only grow... best to upgrade you desktop to 4gb minimum...
my desktop is for lan and nothing else, my laptop is the main testing platform. and i had 3GB ram at first, 1 broke recently. cba to get a new one since i got my laptop now.
and lanning is more for balance tests than anything else. and the game is balanced i believe.
