Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection. TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.
TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan. Ship research boosts weapon performance.
DARK FLEET- modified Vasari The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey. Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.
Imperial Armada- from Star Wars Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer. Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.
Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery. Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships
Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.
Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.
Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.
Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods) The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.
Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.
Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

One thing that might improve TCA, which is the military side of the Trade Order, might be researching a few items that decrease ship cost -call them subsidies by the Trade Order to slightly offset the rising cost of freedom and humanity's continued existence. Tier 6 or 7 of course in the culture area perhaps.

What is the process of taking ships from X3 Terran conflict and coverting them to use in Sins.
Is this process beyond the abilities of a novice.

We have already implemented something that sort of accomplishes this in a different way. It is a tier 6 economic research that gives a bonus to ship production time/research upgrade rate/structure build rate/ and resource cost; At the expense of credit cost for all of the above (structures, ships, researches).
It is a very good bonus it gives. The TCA is meant to be expensive, which is why they are as powerful as they are. Giving them a research that would make things cheaper would make them OP in my opinion. Besides, if you know to tech them up, the costs aren't overwhelming and you can easily support and build large fleets late in the game.

Been working past 5 days on manually reworking Taalo hardpoints. These are the asteroid ships that had other meshes hardpoints inserted in a pinch. Having the meshes in TXT format gave me the chance to look over the orientation of weapons and not really knowing jack figured out some aside from the basic Front, Left, Right, Rear facing weapon hardpoints. Found out how to orient a missile barrage to fire straight up and straight down, then oriented Taalo Long Range frigate to fire out missiles in an X pattern with a 45 degree forward tilt -not much to someone with 3dsMax or XSI, but a challenge using just Notepad and seeing where the weapons show up in game when you hit save.
Yes, I intentionally made the Taalo BS's (second and third caps) cross-eyed, beat that! Another video will come showing final hardpointing. Taalo BS isn't cross-eyed anymore, but instead fires beams similar to the plasma ring on the Taalo Colony Capital (on left) out the front.

Imperial Outpost mesh w/texture Preview. Mesh still needs some texture work, some blank spots, but the missiles from the lower pylons are great. I hardpoint using sheets of graph paper and it would take ages to get it right.

boy, I got download and put where folder should be, as many other mod I had been download, start a game, then go to mod, then turn this 7 DEADLY SINS Mod on, but it's Sins of a Solar empire stop working or minidump. I try this 3 to 4 time, still I couldn't get this mod on in the game. hmmm I had 4 gb, window 7 64 but home editie (money is out of opitin) I try to follow this step like this one Large Address Aware, something like this one as well
"Download and install CFF Explorer. 2. Make a backup of your original exe just in case something goes wrong. Right Click on the exe file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Sins of a Solar Empire Diplomacy.exe" Choose Copy. Right-click in an empty space in the folder and choose Paste.
3. Run CFF Explorer. 4. Click the folder icon or go to File -> Open and browse your PC for the Sims 3 exeutable or the latest EP/SP exe you installed.
5. Click on File Header at the left, find Characteristics at the right, and click the Click here blue button.
6. Click App can handle >2GB address space.
7. Click OK. 8. Save by clicking the disk icon or going to 'File -> Save.
9. Overwrite the file when it asks you to.
NOTE: If you use this method, you need to keep the backup of the exe file you changed with CFF Explorer. When you update your game, you will need to copy the backup exe back to folder and replace the edited exe file. 1. Go to the folder which has the executable file you changed. 2. Delete the current *.exe file. 3. Rename the backup executable back to the original name, now you can safely update/upgrade."
well, it's still didn't work, I try Sins Optimization Project 0.08 D with it, it's still didn't work, I try low buffet, still didn't work, hup..it's Diplomacy 1.32 version, I most had no problem Maelstrom Diplomacy 1.314 Mod, SOA2 1.30 (Star trek Mod), Requiem Diplomacy 3.4 Mod, Distant Stars (D) 0.99_B5as far I know, yet I didn't manager to done the game all the way in large map, at least, rare minidump memory cause game stop working. But Maelstrom Diplomacy Expansion 1.31 (did start up, but it's every time minidump cause game stop working in one hours or so, annyoed , Bailknights Graphic Mod-DipTrinity1.01-R1 and this Mod, it's didn't work even start up and couldn't get turn on. I'm very annyoed. oh well. Download should be fine, and it's should not be corrurp file, I think.

Yes, the mod is for Entrenchment... and same so, you will have problem since the mod push the game to his 2gb limit...
You have only 4gb and use Win7 x64... wrong move !!! Win7 alone need 2gb when you install the x64 version... if you install the 32 bit version, Win7 need only 1gb... there is no advantage to use a 64 bit OS when you have 4gb ram or less...
Now, with you win7 x64, it remain only 2gb for application, shared between your antivirus, steam running in the background, your chat software, a bunch of other little application and your sins game, who will mini-dump before reaching his 2gb limit due to lack of ram...
If you use win7 32 bit, take a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366718(v=VS.85).aspx ... mainly, your need the 4gb tuning, the physical address extension tuning, and your Large Address Aware thing... with only the OS and the game running ( no antivirus, nothing in the quicklaunch, no firewall, etc running ), you can maybe push the game to use 3gb...
If you wish to use win 7 x64, increase your ram at least to 6 gb... 2 gb for the OS and 4 gb for any 32 bit application running under the WOW64 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WoW64 )...
PS : in fact, related to the memory address, 32 bits OS are 36 bits who allow a max of 128 gb ram ( in reality, 64gb due to the Nx bit )... 64 bits OS on the other hand are 48 bits ( architecture can allow 52 bits in the future )... only ia-x64 ( itanium ) is a fully true 64 bits...
PS2 : as for the memory limit of windows OS, in both 32 bit or 64 bit, take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension#Microsoft_Windows ... by example, if you have win7 x64 home basic, there is no use to have more that 8 gb ram... but if you install a old windows 2000 32 bit datacenter edition, you can use 32 gb ram... since the memory limit in 32 bit windows OS is due to licensing, hacking the kernel is possible ( http://www.geoffchappell.com/viewer.htm?doc=notes/windows/license/memory.htm from "testing the use of physical memory above the 4GB" )... NOTE : the link is provided for educational purpose, it is illegal to hack your kernel... only some server version of windows can legally use the NTKR128G.exe since it is provided on the installation disk...

the 2GB memory issue was fixed in Diplomacy 1.3 The 7dS team should port their work over to help with the limits.
