Welcome to the 7 DEADLY SINS mod, as featured in PC GAMER by DANMAN .
Welcome to 7 Deadly Sins 2.5 FINAL for the latest version of Sins Entrenchment 1.053.7DS can only be played at HIGH maximum settings. DO NOT USE VERY HIGH settings. This will cause a minidump. Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Just keep reloading the game and trying until you actually get into the game and play. This is a Windows problem, not a problem with Sins or 7DS.
7 Deadly Sins is:
The ultimate combo mod, the "unoffical" expansion of Sins of a Solar Empire, or so it has been dubbed by the mod community. The work of many individual modders working together under my leadership (DANMAN3712).Nearly 4 years old and downloaded in various forms over 100k times worldwide and in 5 languages.
Together, we form the 7DS Mod Team and the backbone of DANMAN GAMES www.danmangames.com

New classes of ships: Frigate -light armor Destroyers -medium armor Cruisers -heavy armor Battlecruisers -very heavy armor, 2 to 3 weapon banks for anti-cruiser, destroyer and frigate duty Capitalships -capital armor Dreadnought -capital armor, incredible firepower and durability Titan -capital armor like Dreadnoughts, possess doomsday weapons
New Area Affect Doomsday Weapons TCA Beta Kol Graviton Doomsday Imperial Executor SSD Shield Overload Atlantian Avatar Stellar Converter (beam with damage to all in path) Triad of Creation -Lapis Blackhole Generator and Spatial Compressor Wormhole Weapon
New Special Abilities Rogue "Assault Pods", The Machine "Assimilation" for capturing capitalships, TCA armor plating unlocked by research for greater tanking, TOU "Oppression Aura" that reduces enemy firepower, Arilou Obliterator "Ion Cannon" disabling Starbases, Arilou "Mxyzptlk Array" with time disrupting "Quasi-Bomb", Triad of Creation "Nosferatu" and "Ghoul" energy siphons that do damage, and More!
New classes of strikecraft squadrons and Capitalships/Dreadnoughts/Titans with fixed number of Squadrons Cruiser Squads of 3 strikecraft Capital Squadrons of 6 strikecraft; largely used by Hangars Titan Wings of 9 strikecraft; also used by Starbases
Mobile Starbases -all races possess starbases that can move about the gravity well to interdict enemy forces -assault carefully.
12 Playable Races with their own traits that make them more unique, from being a total offensive race, to a highly researching race. Each race now has its own unique tactics of gameplay.
Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection. TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.
TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan. The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan. Ship research boosts weapon performance.
DARK FLEET- modified Vasari The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey. Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.
Imperial Armada- from Star Wars Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer. Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.
Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery. Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships
Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.
Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.
Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.
Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods) The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.
Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.
Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

7 Deadly Sins, a Danman Games Production/Mod for Sins of a Solar Empire by IronClad/StarDock.
Ok, both Premium download area, and FREE download area, now have the Beta.
Have fun everyone, and be sure to post the bugs!
How about fixing the website so you CAN download it? I've been back and forth over week trying to get mod and same old story--paid membership to log in, 404 for download otherwise.
Well, I got the email saying my account has been activated, but I still can't log in. Guess I'll be waiting until the free membership page is available.
Use your membership user name and password, which are not necessarily what you use to get into the forums -my premium membership user name and password aren't the same as for the forums and I tried 4 times before remembering : silly me
You can download "7DS 2.5 Beta 1" from the free membership area. Click the file link, avoid "download" pic, you will go to another site where you can download it, but at slower rates than those of the premium area ( I downloaded at about 1mbps from premium area -that's what donations help provide).
Scratch, Makon and I -as well as many others are looking forward to playing Beta and seeing the final polish over "2.5 Alpha K .v7 StormWerx" we handed over to Dan.Let the Zipper Ripping Commence. Make vids, take screenies, report bugs, enjoy!
RECOMMENDED GAME SETTINGS:Planets: High or Medium (latter for 4 players)Ships: High/Med/Med or Medium/Medium/Low (latter for 4 players)Structures: High/Med/Med or Medium/Medium/Low (latter for 4 players)Disable Bloom, cargo ship icons, and perhaps dust/roids.
The dreaded 2GB memory crash limit is beyond our control, the above setting will help you not reach it and crash out.Since StarClad only applied a fix to Diplomacy and not Entrenchment, there will be inherent issues totally beyond our control. We have much set to load on demand, but that's the best we can do with the game. For 4 player games (4 human or 1 human v 3 ai) with above settings, you will hover close to the 2 GB memory limit; for large maps you may still randomly crash out if there are multiple solar systems because of how Entrenchment is and because we've got 3GB of files that push the hardcode limits and 2GB memory limit packed into the 1.2GB download.Hopefully Rebellion will load only those textures, meshes, and sounds actually used.
Addendum:
Beta Manual is in the main directory, thanks to the 114 who viewed it on DeviantArt and the 100+ who downloaded it. Hope you love it.If you want a peek at the technical side of how exactly all the ships, starbases, and defense cannons were rebalanced in credits, metal, crystal, fleet cost, max velocity, even ranges and starbase toughness, etc... and how we got crew levels for them, overload your senses with the xls workbook also in the main directory made by yours truly -was daunting, but damn fun.
I am using my membership username and password, and it isn't working. And I don't know what site your going to, but the one I'm able to find keeps telling me that the free area is down and only full members can log in.
EDIT: This is all slightly unintuitive. I'm told in the main post to look under products and then mods, but there is no such thing on the given link. The only thing I can find is that download pic you say to avoid that brings me to the sideload page that won't let me log in.
Downloaded it copied the sound and texture pack into the mod folder now whenever i load the game it mini dumps and if it dosnt mini dump it loads slow then there wite screen all over the top and bottom i can click stuff but cant see it and cant see half the game stuff ive tried empire TCA and TEC
i have windows vista and have entrenchment v1.051
Awesome mod
thank you
now to use the empire against the advent
What versian did you use did you unpack for entrenchment or diplomacy?
minidumped 1 minute into game
entrenchment
Ok solved one problem the 2 texture folders i made a new file named textures and took the files out of the orrigional texture files and put them in there now the game dosnt even load and it minidumps but the difference the 1 time i got it working made all the differences i saw the danman games tital and the player icons and stuff just need to try to fix the minidumps
ok forot to disable the mod before i went merging the files that might be making a difference and i forgot to delete one of the downloaded texture files so ill try it again and get back with instrunctions if it works
Ok got it working heres how to do it
download the sound and both the texture things (Danman you really should relese them as one in the next relese)
Extract the sound file and just drag the file into the mods (If you need the mod path just look it up online i have the vista one so msg me if you need it for vista) thats easy
next make a new file and name it Textures
extract both files to your desktop and go into them and select all the files and copy and paste them into the textures folder and repete for the other one and just drag them into the mod folder
this should prevent minidumps and if it dosnt just lower the settings for planets and stuff
A little laggy in close but its not getting worce so
Bug - when a ship is being heavily attacked the ship loses its texture
Here's the link to the download page for those still scratching their heads--you will need an account created and logged in to download from it. There are several links that don't take you to the correct page. Some of the image links are disabled or take you back to the re-direct page as well. I never received a confirmation or activation email on registering so I don't know if you actually are meant to get one.

POST BUGS HERE : Requires Forum Access
1.) If u read text below links that u download it says exactly what u said ....
2.) Mod is to big for a gamefront to host it as 1 file thats why its split in 4 pieces.
Damn GameFront... File is 1.2 GB total. Sucks that it got split up.
We found some bugs right off the bat, identified causes and will work on a quick patch for the issues.
Actually, it only has those instruction on the free download link. If you download from the premium section, you're given no instructions and ultimately have no clue why the game is minidumping.
Didn't DL from premium but I assume and understand that premium DL has only 1 file .....
As for speed I DL all 4 files from GameFront in 4 minutes.
Sorry i wasnt sure it said it or not i just tried a coupla configurations and this one worked so i figured id post
Those of you who are having minidumps approximately 1 minute into the game. Be sure none of your effects settings are on "HIGHEST", especially planet detail...it will 100% everytime crash the game. Use medium/high on everything and it should be ok. I usually run a mix of high and medium settings (mostly ship extras/bump at medium).
EDIT: Sometimes the game will DEFAULT your settings to have highest on planet detail. So just be aware of that.
1.) The ships losing texture under heavy fire is not exactly a bug...What is happening is the "shield mesh" (i guess?) is flaky and takes the shape of the ship itself. So what you have is a "mirrored" effect that happens when a ton of fire hits a ship. Simply put, its the shield hit effect thats weird. We will take a look at it and see what can be done.
I hope I didn't confuse anyone, but basically the ship textures aren't disappearing. Its the shield effect.
i had ships and building on medium medium low and planets on medium and it still minidumped just not as soon
yeah i noticed that it was the shield when i played soge shortly after 7ds to see what it looked like
How much RAM do u have. Game uses 2GB max but if you have 2GB total OS takes some as well.....
