Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection. TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.
TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan. Ship research boosts weapon performance.
DARK FLEET- modified Vasari The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey. Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.
Imperial Armada- from Star Wars Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer. Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.
Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery. Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships
Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.
Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.
Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.
Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods) The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.
Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.
Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

7 Deadly Sins, a Danman Games Production/Mod for Sins of a Solar Empire by IronClad/StarDock.
You can get it for free ( when it will be released )... but if you wish faster download speed, you will pay for these "more speed"... the members thing is in no way related to the mod but to the download system... system similar to these from the so called "free" online hosting ( rapidshare, filefront, etc ) who have free download at slow speed and membership for high speed...
Hosting costs. Dan provides all hosting out of pocket so any help is greatly appreciated. Also keep in mind that my version of what we developers tinker with, not the ALPHA H but what we call ALPHA H e2 (not sure why, but it is) happens to be (3,000,111,104 bytes), just 2.79 GB. YES, I broke the 3 billion byte mark Dan! WOOT. I think since July this year I've worked on about 100 entities in the GameInfo, 7 meshes, proofed through 22326 lines of the English.str file (450+ pages in MS Word), tweaked 3-5 races in very subtle ways, and work on the GSDEF file. Understand, as far as the mod goes, I've actually done the least amount of 'work' on the mod. Other developers and playtesters do far more and we welcome anyone willing to put forth their best effort even if it is working with notepad like me.
Blair, mind hosting our 7DeadlySins Beta release? Should be just under 3 GB. I don't plan to make another "Intro" movie for a long while, I can't find the darn "7DeadlySins" texture I used for the wreck

Ok, so i'm in need of some help. I'm new to modding Sins...just recently downloaded the SOA mod and got it to work just fine. Maybe, i am not fully understanding what version i have. In the lower right hand corner it says i have version # 1.051. Is this different from 1.05? I downloaded 7DS 2.1...unzipped it to the correct mod folder...loaded the game...tried to apply the mod and the game froze. Finally after about thirty minutes of waiting, it threw me a minidump. It's never taken this long to apply any mod before. And when i say "freeze", i mean it takes up all of my CPU. I'm really at a loss here. I even uninstalled Sins completely, and reloaded. As i said before, maybe i'm not fully understanding my version. It's Entrenchment 1.051. Is 1.05 a different version altogether? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
seriously when is this truly going out to the public? this mod was a true masterpiece, a combination of both small and large mods. but now its only for people who pay for not the full version, but for the beta! not that the mod isnt worth the wait but... maybe its time to show at least some of what the public has been waiting for.

Halopedian, would you rather us release according to arbitrary deadlines like last year which was a dismal flop or give something that makes everyone involved bust a zipper? Here, I tinkered with the Rogue a bit. Other than asking you to sign up for forums and read what goes on there, I can't think of how else to help you. Danman will let everyone know when it's ready for public consumption.

Thanks for a speedy reply. Whenever I load my game, mod or not, it mirrors the Image you posted. As in, it says "Entrenchment v1.051". I've heard alot about this "Vanilla Sins" and whatnot...let me be clear. I bought my copy at the store...upgraded to Entrenchment through Impulse. I'm beginning to wonder if that may be part of the problem. Haven't had much problems with any other mod i've downloaded that i couldn't figure out myself. 7DS seems to be the exception. I'm sure everybody has better things to do than babysit me...short of fixing this for me...just need a point in the right direction. Again, any help is greatly appreciated.
2.1 simply won't work for Entrenchment v1.051. Your best hope is to go to our forums, register and ask for playtester status and ask there. "Vanilla Sins" is just good old "Sins of a Solar Empire".
If you have Entrenchment v1.051, 7DS 2.5 like in the picture is what you want -not SINS 2.1 it'll crash and burn everytime. You can go to our forums, it's your only hope. Register and request playtester.

2.1 is only for sins 1.05 ... convert it for recent sins version will be too much work...
For 2.5, you need to register on the Danmangame forum, request the playtester status, and ask Danman or Scratch for access to the sync

I'm sure everyone is wondering just when the next major Alpha is going to come out. Well, We've been busy, Thankgiving week you know. Here is a small video, 720HD POPOUT, of one project in 7DS: Empire Research Tree Project. I'm one for spacing, don't like clutter or too empty a screen and decided the Empire just needed work. This video is the culmination of about a month of work, 10h per week just to get everything new created and entered into Alpha H e2 (DEV JUNKYARD) without SINS having a hernia getting 200 new files in (or me having a mental hernia) and working right. Thanks 'Sins of a Galactic Empire' for the texture sheet, Lucas Arts too for letting us modders enter the Galaxy, and Scratch for patience and trust with his baby. This is a work in progress, I've got 7DS running right now working out any kinks.
So, know that we're busy even though you don't see much happening.

7 Deadly Sins 2.5 Alpha J is compatible only with the most recent Entrenchment version and available now to Premium members with a week delay for those with Free membership. I encourage you to sign up on the forums and request playtester status for 7 Deadly Sins and the many other mods there like the Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Halo, Vermillion Sector, Sacrifice of Angels 2, SG-I, and the Orion Pirates Universe.
Yes, We have put out Alpha J much later than expected -nearly 6 months since Alpha H, but it's available and we desire your input, feedback and gaming enjoyment. File is a heavily compressed 7zip file 1.2 GB in size, but expands to nearly 3 GB. We can offer support more easily through out own forums than here. I have had much trouble posting to these forums and have multiple times been given an error in posting -now having to view the site in compatibility mode. grrr...

At the moment Alpha J is out for Premium Members and not yet a Free Download, this is primarily to thank those who have made donations that help out the website. I have no words yet on status of getting free members Alpha J, but will put in a word on the forums. I haven't been able to post on the SOASE forums due to some strange java error and all my posts get eaten by gremlins, goblins, or some other post stealing monster that is probably responsible for stealing 1 sock from the dryer with every 5th load.
Please post in the 7 Deadly Sins area of the forums that you have a membership, what type and if you can remember, when you registered as a member on the main front page.
