Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection. TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.
TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan. Ship research boosts weapon performance.
DARK FLEET- modified Vasari The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey. Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.
Imperial Armada- from Star Wars Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer. Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.
Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery. Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships
Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.
Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.
Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.
Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods) The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.
Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.
Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

man and i thought i was beeing all cool geting the digital version...o well ill just wate lol
im curious, with the beta for diplomacy right around the corner (relatively speaking), and the fact that 7DS still isnt Entrenchment compatible, what does the Dev team intend to do about Diplomacy?
im not trying to be a smart ass or anything, but as i cant play this mod without it being updated to Entrenchment 1.03, and the fact that if its taken THIS long to get it compatible with Entrenchment, whats going to happen when Diplomacy comes out and they will have to start all over again?
why not go to the forum dan has set up and become a game tester for him that way you can get the alpha and help test the game for bugs and glitches?

It is alpha... the alpha E was just released today... by the way, what bad experience ? Cannot reply until Diplomacy is out... if it really add some features for modders, maybe... but if it change nothing for our mod, i don't think so...
I'm getting frusterated with the delay on this mod, I know its difficult to convert, but still I seriously like the concept of it. An from what I've seen it looks good. The concern and annoyance though is that not many people want to reinstall just to play it, espcially with Diplomacy, and Entrenchment. I urge the team to double there efforts, an maybe I can finally think about DLing this.
You don't have to reinstall Sins, not if you are using the latest Alphas which are for Entrenchment 1.03.
How would I get my hands on that.
Entrenchment as we all know you have to perchase, once it is... you use impluse to install it... if you have that already then all you need to do is head over to the forums for 7DS and rrequest to become a play tester. After that you go back to the main forum page and scroll down until you find the 7DS alpha part of the forum. Once in there you click on the thread that has the latest patch and download it. Basically all you do is copy or move the files from the extracted folder and put it into the mods folder for entrenchment I believe the wiki on the forums has all the details how to do this if your not sure how to do it yourself
I'm not a total idiot, I know how to install mods. I mean't how to get my hands on a copy of the alpha, but if it requires being a playtester then forget it. I don't have time to squash bugs.
When diplomacy comes out we will finish entrenchment, "mabye make 3.0 for entrenchment", and THEN move to diplomacy, converting is a pain in the ass. But fear not, for your wait for 2.5 will be rewarded with BSG races.
Hey boy, we work already hard on it... in my case, i use all my free time, my midday pause at work and my hard earned holiday for these mod... 2 gb when compressed, more that 4000 files... new model, races and other think to encode... and about effort, you wrote :

I hardly need to post anything on the forum when I playtest. you can play the game and enjoy it... but if you actually run into a bug while playing it... like minidump you report it... only problems I've ever had with the alpha is MINIDUMP lol I actually couldn't play the last version of alpha because of a minidump that kept happening ingame after a few minutes of the game running... current version I don't get a minidump at all

My excuse is the same as your's I have school, and a job, an mass amounts of other things I do during the year. Seriously don't shoot me down, or take frusteration out on me because I'm simply antys to play the mod. Also insulting me on my length in post, or other foolish things like that has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Understand I am not insulting you, or trying to be a dick I just want to play a half decent mod for once. Chill out relax, If I find a free weekend I might try to playtest the damn thing.
Im gonna chime in and say Guys TAKE YOUR TIME, do what you can and all you can you have all the time in the world, I like how you guys take Blizzards approach to things, get the job done and polish it to perfection. Keep up the good work guys and of course take you time, I might be edgy but hey it gives me time to do other things.

it is for entrenchment 1.02 only, unless you use my mod updater that is in my modding utilities pack at the bottom of the OP in this thread
after using the mod updater it can run in ENTRENCHMENT 1.03

Wow, it has been a long time since I was here last. I have been so busy dealing with life and pushing out Alphas and such that I almost forgot about coming here! Anyways, patience would be appreciated in this guys. I know you are all anxious to get the new version, so am I to get it done! Trust me, I and the team are hard at work to provide you with the best mod that NO money can buy LOL! Don't forget that we do have life commitments, such as work, wives, kids, etc. And since none of us get paid for doing this, it takes a low priority to things that do pay and of course family comes first. So if members of my team get insulted by what you say, please understand the great amount of stress we are all under.
That being said, a new Alpha E was posted last weekend, and so far so good. A few minor bugs are still there, but at least most of the dumps have gone away! Loads of content are still missing, but this is still the Alpha stage after all.
Now for some public info into what is happening to the universe of 7DS, while waiting for the new version, a little storyline for you:
The Atlantians have showed no mercy against their long time enemy and creation, the Vasari. They have been very successful in exterminating every last one of them. Only their original creation, the strongest, the Dark Fleet have survived, but even they are fighting for their lives. Only a singe sect, the Skeksies have survived, and are struggling to not only escape the wrath of the Atlantians, but also rebuild their crumbled empire.
The humans have pulled together all their power, including the TEC and other groups, to unite together solely as the TCA, the Terran Confederation Armada. They alone can stand against the new thread lurking into their region of space.
The Atlantians have begun to split apart, on friendly terms, with their Orion brethren. The Orions wish to embark out and find their long lost homeword, Orion, and once again bring it back to its full glory of ages past. During this process, the Orions discovered that the Advent are their long lost children from millions of years ago, and they united together with the Unity sect to form The Orion Unity, the TOU.
The Kohr-Ah's cousins, the Kzer-Za, have also entered this area of space. They have once again rekindled their doctrinal war for supremecy over doctrine. The winner will determine if the whole universe gets enslaved by the Kzer-Za, or exterminated by the Kohr-Ah.
Thr Arilou are once again visiting, but however have decided to make things a bit more permanant than before, and are looking into long lasting plans, rather than just skipping in and out of this reality.
The Rogue are up to their same old tricks, but gathering new force as well. They have trimmed away old and obsolete models of crafts, in order to make use of all the scapping they have been doing. They have found huge stores of derilict ships, and are pushing them into service as a cheap solution. However, stealing other races stuff has always been their specialty!
The Empire is looking to also expand their influence, however due to lack of resources, their offering of ships has somewhat diminished as they no longer have a vast empire to fund their warships.
Everyone is digging in, preparing for a long war. Only you will be able to decide thier fates!

How do I use this exactly because I'm alittle confused about it.
UN-rar all the files into a folder on your computer, create a shortcut to the sins mod updater.exe run it, or just read the thread about the mod updater
So i just fired up the alpha, and saw that only the Khor-Ah and the Atlantians and the vanilla races were only play-able and some of the stuff has names and infor saying string-missing. I take it that is just how the alpha is in it's current state correct?
Depends on which alpha you have. Alpha E has most of the races i think.
