Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection. TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.
TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan. Ship research boosts weapon performance.
DARK FLEET- modified Vasari The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey. Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.
Imperial Armada- from Star Wars Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer. Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.
Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery. Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships
Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.
Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.
Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.
Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods) The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.
Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.
Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

I just rediscovered this game after being sort of sick of it for a few months, now im back to try Entrenchment and yeah, may give this mod a shot again. Why wont it work with the latest patch? Due to crashbugs or what? Maby itll work anyway for me?
Making so huge mod ask months of work... if we update each time that Stardock release a mini update, we will use our time to update only, not creating new content...
7DS 2.0 will be for 1.05 ... followed by 7DS 2.5 who will be for 1.12
About the release of 7DS 2.0, only Danman know when ( maybe not )... these last week-end, some very minor error was corrected ( like text in english.str ) and some other little thing... The 7DS team wish to release something working almost perfectly who will not need a bunch of patch later...
Be patient, it is worthy...
I dont call 1.10 a "mini update", i can play without it now after getting used to the mini-market, but yeah im sure it will be worth the wait, just wondered
7DS will be ready when it's ready. It's like a finely cooked meal that if rushed is ruined and everyone ends up crapping themselves for the next week and eating horrible stuff like McD's and TacoBell before ever touching your cooking again.
That said, enjoy the new vanilla pudding -upgrading to "Parfait" is optional with additional layers (Entrenchment) provided a'la carte by Star/Clad "SOON™" at $10 each layer to a maximum of 3 layers.

@SemazRalan: That was an impressive food metaphor. I didn't think that video games could be tied to food. Actually, on second thought, Nintendo already did that, so let me rephrase that. I didn't think that RTS's could be tied to food.
Slightly off topic, but I'm waiting for 3.0 (or at least 2.5) more than 2.0. Assuming the major hardcoding limit Dan ran into is lifted, 3.0 will bring so much awesome that you can't even be in the same country as your computer for fear of flying zippers. Plus, the Empire will be getting a fun new toy.
Yeah, it's not a mini-update with trivial changes. The problem is, it is not a mini-update with trivial changes. It'd take a crapton of extra man-hours (and a lot of Danman's) to get it for that immediately. The best solution was to finish where our original goal was under 1.05 and then release it for 1.1. 1.1 will bring some big stuff that will both help us a lot, and be a total pain in the ( | )

As you can see from the awesome pics Samaz posted, the mod itself is huge....WAY bigger than Sins itself. Its like a whole new game......for FREE.
That being said, the final version of 2.0 should be done within the next day or so. I am just tying up loose ends now, and getting all the documentation prepared and credits rolling, and there are PLENTY of people for me to thank for this outstanding job.
The Atlantians are nearing full realization, at least in the concept. Extremely weak in the beginning of the game and with an unexperienced player.....but with time, patience, research, and experience, they will become the gods themselves. Even the smallest frigate will be nearly unstoppable at fully upgraded levels. But they have a many races who are just as powerful in their own rights.....
The Rogue and the Arilou offer a completely different playing style, and the Kohr-Ah just bring the game, while the mighty Empire and TCA crush all who oppose them. The Dark blast through shields, while the Unity handle tons of punishment while spreading their presence ever further than Advent levels.
Trust me, 7DS is NOT Sins of a Solar Empire....it is 7 DEADLY SINS...

That reminds me. We need to separate man-hours and DANMAN-hours since they aren't even close to the same thing. One DANMAN-hour of work is worth an infinite number of normal man-hours, since in one hour DANMAN does things that no mortal man can do, even if that mortal man were to live forever. If Chuck Norris was a modder, he would be DANMAN. Wait. DANMAN IS Chuck Norris, since only Chuck Norris can make a mod this awesome, and also since only Chuck Norris can be two people at once.
Hehehe well I like the Atlantians a lot I was just playing the Beta D and actually assualted a pirate base, it was rather fufilling seeing how the pirate armada that surrounded it gave my ships a good run for their money, I had about maybe a good 10 or so capital class ships, 20 or 30 cruisers, and maybe about 40 or 50 frigates vs about 50 or so pirate vessels at the pirate base along with all of their defenses and such. It was a rather gratafying scene to see the whole battle being done out it lasted a good 10 mins or so... and the funny part is not that I wiped the pirates out, the funny part is that I DIDN'T LOSE A SHIP!
That's the Atlantians for you. Technological superiority FTW. Personally, I prefer the TCA. They have armor superiority. And railgun superiority.
(Hopefully we can get all those super-secret models we have lying around textured in time for 2.5. The Crius won't knock your socks off. Your socks will be all that is left once it stops firing its eleven barrels of hell.)
Hope so... mainly the limit related to the number of mesh and texture... some 7DS race use mesh and texture from the original sins due to the hardcoding limit... a lot of new model of ship are almost ready but no one will be included in 2.5 ( for sins 1.12 ) if the mesh/texture limit is not changed by Stardock... from Stardock log change, it seem that it have not change !!! Only the sound limit was changed some time ago...
Maybe we will need some good programmer able to create a new sins launcher who allow a dynamic configuration of 7DS who activate only the race planned to game with... in some way, the mod will be rebuild each time that you start the game... basilly, it is enough simple... simply copy the needed file for each race planned to use in the mod folder... the complex part is that the english.str and galaxyDef need to be created each time...
There is always a solution for any problem but sometime, solution can be really complex... Dan have already make miracle but he is only a man like you and me... he cannot resolve all problem alone !!!
Wow, the Atlantians look less of an Advent clone now .
Also I hope the Rouge race get a ship that can colonize as the version that is out right now they lack a ship to capture planets, unless they steal an enemy colony ship which is harder then it sounds. I know cause I built every Rouge ship and none of them had an ability to colonize.

Not sure it is official until Dan confirm it... but it seem that Dan hard drive have crash... meaning that work made between the pre-release and now is lost... around one week of work... So the final official release will maybe be delayed for one more week... but unless Dan make a post itself, nothing is sure about what have happen.
lol that sucks.. He should have continually backed up his stuff on like windows skydrive or something (totally free 25gb storage, just drag n drop files onto the website like in explorer)

I am very glad to hear of the positive reception of those partners who have the pre-release, and the pictures that Samaz posted.
Alas, the worst news is true. My hardrive crashed last night, and I lost all my data since the pre-release. The thing that really sucks is that I lost all of my client data, as I run my own graphic arts company.
So, once I get my new harddrive, I can redo all the work I just lost. Figures too....I was going to release the 2.0 version today, and the drive dies last night, causing me to delay the mod even further. Hopefully I can recover from this, and provide you guys a mod worth while playing, and for keeping the 1.05 version of Sins.
