WHAT IS CHASING THE VASARI!!!!!!! if you ask me the only thing that could have done this much damage is if sum one sent a brodcast of the teletubbies ,barney, dora the explorer,and elmo all doing one whacked out christmas speicial
but really what is chasing them if you ask me this should be in the lore section unless they are waiting to unveil it to either make an expansion or maybe a capmeighn patch where you have to fight whatever is chasing the vasari and take back your homeworld or something

Hey it probably has something to do with the race that created PJI's b/c in the manual the Vasari discovered them and copied them without knowing how they worked who built them or why they were there. Maybe while they were experimenting on a PJI they turned on something or when they removed the PJI's they unleashed something
I don´t know from where are the things that are chasing them, but 1 thing that i know is that that laboratory in the beginning sequence is a virtruska military lab that was working on transportation, communication and phase travel technology. (civilian labs are developing bio-hazzard matters) => We know that the vassari from the dawn of their space explration were finding strange structures positioned in gravity wells of planets where they arrived, and this devices even in a deactivated form were disrupting phase space trawelling. Even their brightest minds in thousands of years of technological revolution couldnt figure out how the devices were dirupting phase space, who build them and !why!, what other possibilities was the device capable of and mainly for a long time they even couldn´t copy the device. When the vassari developed nano technology they simply could build, clone the original devices atom by atom, molecule by molecule and they even figured how to activate its powers and it was simply named after what it was doing, the ...

At least they were thinking they have fully activated it and its powers and positoned it over every their controled world to stop any revolt or to help defend it and it worked perfectly. Much of the vassari technology was based upon phase space maniplatin, their communitcation network wasnt an exception.
The Vassari swallowed up the bait - they were doomed - now the unknown enemy needed only that these curious fools activate the "extra" functions of even one device to allow them to enter normal 3D space from their home that is in the PHASE SPACE, isolated from that our own by the similar but naturally invissible energy field that is only visible when normal 3D space vessels travevel throw it and are engulfed by the field.
The Vassari scientist for thousnad of years were studying the PHASE INHIBITORS and "switching" off and on every button on them. And in the end they activated the right order of operation protocols that activated and ripped a chasm from our space to phase space throw which ships could travel to our space and "adapted" by the enrgy flux of the rift to physical and natural laws of our space (wasnt the need to engulfing the ships into phase field(a small bubble space) - the unknow PHASE SPACERS needed it like we when we were traveling throw their space => we all were untouchable from each other because of the interdimensional PHASE SHIFT energy-time-space difference).
The vassari were overruned by them in a matter of months. All vassari Phase travel engine, phase communication, phase space weaponry, logistics and supply was shutted down by the activation of the special abbilities of the now known PHASE SPACE MANIPULATOR AND PROJECTOR DIVICES .
The PHASE SPACERS fully activated remotely every device when they came to the next system to conquer, cripling comm, travel and weapons of the Vassarim then after a complete xenocide, they manulaly activated the RIFT OPENNING SEQUENCE and moved on.
And now the stupid TEC and ADVENT are stealing and installing by the vassari nano-atom-build, and dont reckognized yet as the cause of their fall and as a troyan trap, an unbelievable technology of the INHIBITORS into every system.

And.. what exactly did S4murai say? I get the idea, but on the whole it made no sense to me.
A Vasari experiment into generating a stable phase-tunnel that would allow instantaneous transport across space from any location in the galaxy to any other linked location suffered a disaster through miscalculation and an incomplete understanding of Unified Field Theory that the Vasari in their pride would not admit.
When it went awry, it caused a cascading continuum-tearing effect that began to destroy space and cause the dematerialization of matter below the subatomic level. When the Dark Armada jumped into it, their ships were dematerialized. A few ships were fortunate and escaped destruction, but when their crews looked into the abyss of a universe revoking every Law it ever had, it drove their mortal minds insane. Only one ship returned.
A race of incomprehensibly powerful sentient machine vessels not unlike The Reapers from Mass Effect. Either developed or discovered by the Vasari through their overwhelming use and experimentation of radical technologies and phase space theory.
Sounds like it'll make a great expansion.

For anyone who hasn't played Mass Effect (and doesn't care about reading a spoiler), The Reapers were also capable of influencing, corrupting, and ultimately controlling the minds of lesser beings. This was demonstrated later in the storyline by the character Saren, a Spectre Agent who's judgment was impaired and who's will was eventually replaced by that of his Dreadnought-class vessel, Sovereign. Sovereign, unknownst to the player or Saren until nearly the end of the game, was discovered to be a single Reaper being itself. Sovereign's intent all along was to eventually summon the inconceivably vast Reaper Armada from dark space using the Citadel as a mass relay in order to purge all life from the known universe, as they had done countless times for trillions of years.
Great game with an even better storyline. Personally, I would love to see a race similar to this be what's chasing the Vasari right now. It's a pretty epic ideology.
Dang people wait for Sins 2 i bet they'll tell you. Then there will be the HaV coalition (Human and Vasari) and hopefully a campaign to play. If the campaign is good that is. My idea is if they added this race it would have frigates that would be several times more powerful than vasari but super expensive. Say starting frigate is 16 support and 1000 credits and 175 metal. Health could be 250 hull and 1500 shields with 15 damage. But if you read in the book about phase inhibitors they say the vasari came across them by accident and don't know how they work so they need a super phase inhibitor that works for 2000% phase charge to make running virtually impossible but place it maybe 4 researches up.
Or even worse it could be michael jackson with 50 kids.
