Well updates are indeed sparse. I have been awaiting a certain resized marathon for quite a little while now from DanMan. He is of course busy as he is the only person who can texture besides CaptKeyes. CaptKeyes is currently in search of a new modeling program so he can fix the current model glitches. Me, you ask? I am learning how to texture so that we can progress faster.

Hey what do you guys think I should do about the archer missiles? I know we need to decrease the size of the current missile but what should we do about the trail? I have been playing with it in Particle forge and to be honest it seems kinda... wrong without smoke. But WITH smoke it kinda gets a little smokey during those massive battles
if theres a way to lessen the exhaust trails by all means do it. if need be we can always lessen the number of missiles fired.
Truth. There are a TON of missiles being fired. I got back the resized marathon btw and DANMAN also fixed the specular map. I was thinking about getting the Halcyon that Blamtroid sent us in and then we could release a *small* demo. Like 4 ships and longswords. Who knows? Once we get a release out there maybe a skinner will contact us...
by all means go ahead, we all want a Demo anyway

well i feel like when i makes this mod i want it ot feel like your in a halo battle i find it more important to make this mod artistic then any thing else

If you give the missile a nice glow for it's engine, then you could lessen the smoke to a meer haze, so you'd still see the smoke, but you'd be tracking the missiles primarily by the glow of their engines. The glow shouldn't be TOO bright though, I mean we're fireing missiles not lasers lol.
Yeah, it might be a little while before we incorporate everything.

Oh yeah for the missiles I just solved the problem by merging the Halo mod with bailknights. Now the trails look excellent!
But what about the NUMBER of missiles being fired?
That has already been reduced, as well as HOW they are fired. They no longer go in a "stream" like in the video, now they come in bursts.
Hopefully you upped the number of missiles per burst. Halo is like anime, big on mass missile swarms.

I am a bit of the halo fan, well that is to say I really enjoyed the storys and space battles talked about in the books more so that the games.
