I'll say this now, and get it out of the way: Thief 3 retains the stealthy-ness and stealing-ness of its predecessors. From the moment you start a new campaign in the game, you're taught to conceal yourself from guards in the shadows, once said guard has his back turned then it's your job to blackjack him into submission, steal any valuables you find on his body, then toss his unconsciously-limp shell of a body into a corner somewhere far away from where anyone would ever look. Oh, yeah, and if there is any blood on the floor from your encounter, and if you did your job correctly there shouldn't be, then be sure to take a water arrow to the pool of blood… You know, to clean it up. If you don't, the remaining guards (you know, the ones you haven't gotten around to clubbing yet) are going to notice that bloody mess you made.
