Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.
The mod will be built in 2 halves. The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment. The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

Why not the Furlings as pirates? we know they have advanced technology but we've never seen the extent of that tech.

We are using the Asurans, rather then Ancients, because they exsist in the here and now, and even though they were 'destroyed' I know they are not all gone, and will soon be back with a vengence. Anyhow, the reasoning really was that they just made sense.
How good are you coming up with ideas on the fly? Like trying to program the 'impossible'?

I dont know if this question has been asked before ,but its a lot of stuff to go throu. Ships travel in hyperspace yes ,but are all planets going to have a lane to each other or hows that going to work? Oh an great job so far and i can wait as long as needed to see the best result possible.
We are planning on keeping ship movement the same as it is in the stock game, but each starbase will have the ability to allow for Instant jump. Im going to look into the posability of getting a station around the planet that can allow that sort of thing, but Im not sure if it will work yet, or how time consuming it will be to make work.
Just an idea that popped into my fron, where you said planets may or may not be effected, was that if you do decide to work up some new planet designs, you could introduce some of the ancients planetary inventions as abilities (if possible) or extras around it.
For example the time dilation bubble from the episode "Epiphany" (Season 2) could be utilised somehow, as well as the defensive weapon found on the planet where the ancients were messin with new power sources (Episode called "trinity" in season 2)
An example I can think of would be having a weapon around that particular planet that doesn't exactly belong to anyone but can be used by whomever owns the planet.
Of course I have no idea if this is possible within the game itself, but its an idea.

so now that diplomacy is official and expected on febuary does that change any previous date completion plans or maybe ur still just gonna keep it for entrenchment
I do not believe that this is possible, I could be wrong, but we havent gotten to the stage of trying this stuff out.
We are planning on Staying with Entrenchment for the time being, when the Expansion comes out, we will play it and see if it will indeed be good for the mod or not.

could you give us a tennative ship list? I know the first half will be the humans wraith and Asurans and could you give a possible ship list for the 2nd half? I love the Asguard, they are my personal Fav...make them the best!
I cannot give a tennative shiplist for the Second half of the mod at this time, Im sorry if that upsets you. As for the Asgard, they will be getting some extra things that you might not expect, that is all that I can tell you.

I have a question/suggestion, will you make like 2 versions of the tech tree? I liked it where the humans dont get the asguard tech, kinda like a limited tech battle
also I ment to ask if you could also give out a tenative ship list for part one also, my bad

We will not be making 2 versions of the Tech Tree, it would take alot longer, because I would want to add in other things to replace the Asgard Tech.
As for a tenative list for the First part of the mod, we have a shiplist up on both my primary site, as well as on the ModDB page for the Humans, as they are our primary focus at the moment.
how easy would it be to modify it to make it a limited tech game, like increase the cost of the research or delete it if I wanted to make it limited tech?
Would you say you are 1/2 finished with the mod? so wrapping up in another 2 years? I know its going to be a very quality mod, and Everyone who likes star gate is going to buy this game for your mod (Im being very serious) but Im just so excited for this mod to be finished! (maybe its just because SGU is coming out)
I hope this doesntt come across as all the other, "Are you done yet" posts, Im just excited about your mod, and I would rather want a quality mod then slapping the product together and giving it out. (I know thats not what your about, you guys rock)
It would be time consuming to take out and/or add any tech research. I cant say we are half done, or even 3/4 done. TBH we have encountered several setbacks, and with those comes more time delays.
hey I know I may have pissed u guys off earlier, but I can help u guys code in weapons load-outs, dynamic movement, and abilities into your ships if u guys r interested. Anyways, just trying to help out fellow stargate fans and modders.
