Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.
The mod will be built in 2 halves. The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment. The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.
Looks good. I agree that it looks a bit small compared to the other ships in the game atm BUT...
This was the biggest ship in the Tau'ri fleet in the series so it looking smaller than other TEC ships does look odd but we gotta remember that the 304 is only a cruiser in thie mod. Would I like it to look bigger? Hell yeah I would cause to me this is THE ass kicker for the Tau'ri that we know and love... infact I would like this to be a capital class ship that gains exp and has abilities etc... from what I've seen so far though I am sure I will love whatever caps you guys have in store for us. Might sound a little greedy etc but if you guys would release one of the Tau'ri caps the same as you did the 304 we could get a better sense of scale and also toy with the abilities and/or the exp gain... yes I realize this is not likely.
Only issuse I've seen is the gun flares are still too big. I know it was an issue earlier and you guys have said it's been tweaked.looked at and maybe this is still the older version. The post firing effects looks very cool too!
All I've done is stick the mesh and textures in my game and nothing else really but if anyone else has tweaked the entity file of the Kodiak so that the 304 has beams and/or missiles could you share how you did it or better yet post the relavent portion of the entity file. I've had the hardest time getting beams onto ships before while messing around with mods.
Lastly, how hard would it be to get the 304 to be a capital class ship with what has been provided to us by Eomega and the team so far? I've tried fiddling with that too with little success. Is it as simple as renaming the mesh file to one of the cap files?
Anyways, I really do hate you all... with a passion cause the wait for this mod is driving me insane! Keep up the good work and have a great vacation and leave the laptop behind man! Enjoy yourself, unless of course doing this is a vacation for you, in which case bringing the laptop would be a good idea..
we will NOT be releasing any of our capital ship models, this is mainly because those models have not been rebuilt, and will not be needing it.
We have replaced the Flares on our ships, but I did not include those particle effects with the ship, and the reason they are so big now is that the ship is using STOCK flares that are larger then those we have made.
Well this is sort of a vacation, it does help me relax, so I might bring it to do that, but Im not leaving for another 9 hours, so I have time to fully decide if I want to or not.

Thank god I downloaded the 304 mod before that... but I still can't play it.
Can't I just replace the Kodiak and add the mesh and textures without using Forge Tools?

Could you prepare for loading mod with Atlantis or HIVE SHIP or Aurora warship class??? Mod with Daedalus looks like perfects.
if you mean release Atlantis, the Hive or our Aurora, we will not be doing this, as those models will not be getting a facelift as the Daedalus did.
This mod has been under contruction for a VERY long time.. and I was wondering.. why is there a huge delay in the mod release.. it seems as if other mods are being made faster. Im not saying your doing a bad job, because you are infact, doing a fantastic job coming from a huge stargate fan. I was just curious why it seems that its taking forever though.
Will i think that they just want to finsh the mod and relese it when its complete other mods arent finsh yet they are just realesing betas for us to enjoy while they work on finshing the mod that just my opion i cant speak for e omega
i agree with kingdeathgod, It takes alot of time effort and patience making a mod especially when every patch or every otherr patch breaks the mod keep up the good work
will you have Goa'uld right? i would really like if you added them if you didnt already
This mod is a pegasus mod so the races are going to be Tauri, Wraith and Asurians (i don't think i spelt that right). From what i understand later there is going to be a milkyway expansion to the mod, but that might only be a possibility. So the Goa'uld are not going to be part of the mod. For now at least. Sorry if thats not what you wanted to hear.

KingDeathGod and JTAYLORPCS are correct, we are wanting to release the mod as a whole, not in parts, and the reason why its taking longer then expected is because our primary coder is unavailable currently, and that has slowed us down some, and textures for models are taking longer as well, there is only one texture artist currently, that being me. As JTAYLORPCS said, some patches break the mod, so its a hinderence too.
The Goa'uld will be in the Second part of the mod, so if you can hold out until then, you will get to play as them.
Small update on the 304 guys, enjoy.

I just have one thing to suggest, i havent read through all of the replies so i apologise if it has been said. So here it goes, i was wondering if the roles of the Cerberus class and the Achilles class can be swapped around, since i have to say that the Cerberus design i feel suits the role of a battleship more then the design of the Achilles class, both ships looks awesome however i just think that the more beefy look of the Cerberus suits the battleship look better...
I just wondered you think Eomega, sorry i cant really help in the technical area since i dont know how to make the models

Not all the races, right now it is Humans, Asurans and Wraith. For the second part of the mod, we will be adding in the Goa'uld/Free Jaffa (havent decided fully which one) and the Asgard.
No, the Cerberus is going to be a support Battleship, she will have a few special weapons and basic weapons that the Achilles will not, so she needs to be in the expanded catagory.
Will the Daedalus have fighters?

For your future race additions, I'd go with Anubis in particular. He's got the extra cheesy technological advantages and souped up ships to add to the line-up.

Just to say on my part of the mod has been going slow over the last month, its been hitting the fan at work and havent had as much time as I would like but I hope to finish off a few models in the next days (fingers crossed). As always it will hit here first!
